The house looks lovely, the bed is very comfortable and the breakfast buffet is plenty and big, room service’s desserts (millionaire’s cake and cheese cake were great)!

It took 2 hours and several calls for room service to arrive - the food arrived cold and it tasted really bad (curry was precooked and still arrived cold, although clearly not fresh, chicken schawarma was a joke -do not order it), we stayed at room ivy crest and every night at 00:02 we got a wake up call playing music(which we never ordered) also was annoying beyond measure and was not resolved by the staff, when I called front desk nobody picked up - I had to walk to the other building , the whirlpool is leaking heavily- which means when you use it, the whole bathroom will be under water

Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile. La camera nel bungalow era molto bella e il buffet nel ristorante molto vario e ben curato.

La SPA non funzionava come promesso dalla receptionist. Le saune erano tutte spente e l'unica persona presente nella SPA, probabilmente solo per i massaggi a pagamento, non parlava inglese. Nel bagno non c'era carta igienica e dopo la richiesta fatta due volte alla reception abbiamo atteso 4 ore per la consegna. Non proprio servizi da hotel 5 stelle. L'area comune del bungalow, un salottino molto carino, è stato occupato da altri ospiti parecchio rumorosi che ci facevano serata come a casa propria, lasciando anche parecchi disordine, impedendo di fatto agli altri di usufruire di quelle aree comuni senza che il personale dell'albergo avesse nulla da ridire.

The best buffet breakfast one can find in Nuwara Eliya! This pretty property is a must-stay, the staff is very helpful.

We couldn’t stay at the Clovelly Bungalow because of emergency repairs to our room so we were accommodated in the Victoria Bungalow for one night and then the Golden Ridge Hotel. Staff did try their best, but it all felt a little impersonal and we were disappointed. We had specifically chosen the Clovelly because of its small size and heritage atmosphere and while the facilities at the Golden Ridge are nice, we hadn’t expected to spend our holiday in a modern hotel with massive crowds.

Not being able to experience the Clovelly Bungalow, the open fireplaces and other features which we had been looking forward to! The website should make clear that the Clovelly Bungalow is part of a large, mass tourism hotel complex, and not a stand-alone heritage property.

Gorgeous historic bungalow. Surprisingly comfortable, with access to a large hotel complex. There was also a wonderful restaurant there to overlook the valley.

They’ve built a giant hotel in front of the bungalow, blocking almost the entire view.

The bungalow was very comfortable and nice to stay at. Very spacious rooms. Comfortable bedding. Amazing food. Staff was very kind and helpful. Enjoyed my stay. Definitely coming back.

EVERYTHING This hôtel is the Best i have booked during my trip in Sri Lanka Everything is perfect and clean From staff to breakfast, room, I have almost canceled my reservation because they have no air conditioning, but actually it is a cold town and i needed a heater :) (stayed 8 to 9 august 2023) The Butlers and Salitha are so focused on guest satisfaction and so professional I went there with my wife and my two children, It was exceptionnal I recommend it for the Experience

Lovely staff, trying to fix a fire for us at it was pooring rain when we arrived. The Clovelly Bungalows belongs to a larger hotel complex, which was not opened yet when we stayed. The Bungalow offers 7 rooms and a beautiful living room area. During our stay our family occupied 2 rooms and we had the entire bungalow to ourselves. Quite mondane..For breakfast we were spoilt, again being the only guests we were treated to European and singhalese breakfast, all with a great misty view of the tea plantations.

Getting to a restaurant for dinner was a bit tricky, as there was no staff available to call a Tuk Tuk and we ended up walking a few km into town. This will surely become easier when the hotel has opened.
