Loved the veranda area, how spacious the room was and the very comfortable bed. The swimming pool was lovely too. The staff were all absolutely amazing. Always so helpful and spoke excellent English.

Really enjoyed our stay here, we moved from a nearby hotel and this was luxury in comparison. Room was comfortable. Balcony area was really nice and staff couldn’t have been more helpful.

Das Zimmer war schön geräumig und hatte ein großes Bad. Das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Besonders hat uns die Lage gefallen, da man zu Fuß in die Altstadt laufen konnte und abends noch einen Spaziergang an der Promenade machen konnte.

Wonderful staff, especially mister James, beyond respectful and hospitality is amazing. Very helpful, I really recommend sunrise Garden House in Luang Prabang!

I honestly don’t think this hotel is the best value for how much it costs. Breakfast was always super crowded and busy and things like eggs or bacon were constantly running out plus the bread was cheap (sad in a town with so many great bakeries). Our AC was so loud we had to turn it off to sleep. We had arranged pick-up from the train station through the hotel but the driver never showed. We waited for 25 min. The hotel manager apologized (and said the driver was there and couldn’t find us which is simply not true). For how much we paid for this place, the service, amenities and food are not worth it in my opinion.

For me, the hotel feels a bit tired and poor value for money. Maintenance issues were patched over eg damp, door latch was broken, privacy blinds between toilet & bedroom damaged, toilet seat was broken (we mentioned the seat and was fixed straight away but we didn't want to spoil our holiday with a list of issues they are clearly aware of and ignoring). Breakfast was disappointing; one small coffee machine just isn't enough for the number of guests. Breakfast selection limited, not great quality eg orange juice, coffee and insufficient quantities put out so guests were constantly following up for different items which when replenished were quickly taken. When you can walk out the door and get great coffee and pastries at many places in town, product availability isn't an excuse. Watch out for 3% charge to pay by credit card; my main objection is that this is not communicated in advance when you could bring additional cash like we did for general spending in Cambodia/Laos. We only received an email from the hotel on the same day as check in but nothing on the booking.com site and nothing in their terms & conditions and payment info. They removed the charge for me and I recommended they update their hotel booking info for the future but I can see nothing has changed so far.

Could not have stayed in a better location! In a quiet street, approximately 5 mins walk from the morning market, the night market and major sights. Our room was large, clean, comfortable, with excellent a/c and s small terrace leading out to the pool. The pool and gardens are exceptionally clean and well maintained, with beautiful plants, trees, and flowers. The staff at Sunrise Gardens were very friendly, helpful and helpful. Everyone at reception spoke English. They recommended restaurants, places to visit, arranged taxis etc. They were a pleasure to meet and a real asset to the hotel. Breakfast, which was the only meal served there was fabulous! Always a combination of western and Asian food, and wonderful fresh fruits, changing daily. There are also laundry services at the hotel, useful when traveling!

The hotel was very tranquil in a beautiful setting. It was also a great location where you could walk to everything in the city. They arranged a driver for us for a day tour, and it was very affordable and worked out well. They had very good customer service.
