My friends, family and I had an amazing stay at Neptune's Folly. Spacious kitchen, large dining table, huge porch with comfy chairs and ocean view. The bedrooms were large and had comfortable beds. We are already looking forward to our return visit.

This house is in a great location and Folly Beach was super fun, family friendly and laid back. The beach was right across the street, which made it easy to grab lunch or use the restroom. I would recommend adding a golf cart, if you choose to stay here in peak season, b/c parking at restaurants can be a bit of a bear. the house was clean but could use some updating.

Location was perfect. Easy access to the beach. Missing a coffee pot. They had one there in 15 minutes when reported. Great communication. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

We only had a few short days. Folly beach was a really neat place to stay. Get a golf cart to make travel in town easy. We went to Charleston for a day and it wasn’t enough time. Such a beautiful town!! I would recommend a week to see a lot more than we were able to see and do in 3 days!!

We had a blast at this wonderful house with a perfect location right across from the beach entrance. We had plenty of room for our family, and the house is 3 blocks from “the washout” surf break, we didn’t get much swell but had a wonderful time with our entire family and our daughter that goes to USC came down with 2 friends to join us for Easter. First time in folly and we plan on coming back! Property management was great and communication was perfect. Highly recommend!

We were in town for a soccer tournament and stayed here on follys beach! This was the perfect place! We had such a great time! The house is cute and the neighborhood is quite and the beach is right there! We will stay here again!

Great location across from public beach entrance. Updated kitchens and bath were very nice. There is no master bedroom. The main bath is the jack and Jill bath, which is a bit confusing in the pictures. Overall a nice older beach house, we had a great time.

The house was exactly what I assumed it would be based on the listing. We chose it because it seems like a comfortable house with perfect access to the beach and it wants all of that.
Having three teenagers out of the seven family members we did not want a house that was so fancy that we would be concerned, even though our children are pretty well behaved. The front porch was an absolute delight! The view of the ocean, and the breeze made even the hottest day is very comfortable. My only suggestion when you’re sending people information would be a reminder to bring bug spray if you’re planning on being outside, whether it be on the porch or even walking around downtown at dusk.
The only issues we encountered was that the dishwasher is very old and it didn’t clean well, and then it stopped working altogether. Also, the drains in the kitchen and in the little sink in the bedroom they are slow to drain, and the one in the bedroom always backs up.

We stayed here during a long weekend for a wedding. It was fabulous! Wonderful house, plenty of space for parking, right by beach access. We will definitely be back!!

The house is right across the street from public beach access, making it extremely convenient. It has a great porch with a slight view of the ocean, which was perfect for my family members who didn’t want to go to the ocean. The house was very cozy and comfortable!

ABSOLUTE PERFECTION! THE HOUSE WAS ADORABLE, VERY CLEAN AND HAD EVERYTHING WE COULD HAVE ASKED FOR. THE LOCATION WAS SUPERB - THE VIEWS WERE WONDERFUL. EVERYTHING WAS WITHIN A GOLF CART RIDE AWAY AND THE BEACH WAS JUST ACROSS THE STREET. ONE OF THE BEST STAYS OUR FAMILY HAS EVER HAD. WE WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR FOR SURE!

Neptune's Folly and MyOceanRental were perfect. We actually received a phone call notifying us we could start our vacation a little early as the house was ready early. The email notifications we received contained just the right amount of information and the house was fabulous. This classic house had everything we needed and was is an ideal location. Our favorite part was sitting on the large porch and enjoying the ocean view and breeze.

Neptune's Folly is a delightful beach cottage with an ocean access directly across the street. Although the kitchen and bathrooms have been renovated, the owners have saved the old style beadboard and wood flooring. This house has an authentic beachy feel and being so close to the beach ensures you can hear the waves and see the water. Bed linens and towels were good quality and ample. House was clean when we arrived. We stayed there 5 weeks during January/February and Folly Beach has enough activity, bars and restaurants to keep us amused. The front porch of this rental is large and has an ocean view. If you're looking for a modern, slick new home, this isn't for you. But if you want a beach cottage with style and history, this is perfect! Thanks to the owners for providing this rental.

This house was the perfect getaway for our family for Christmas. Close to beach, comfortable beds, and kitchen really well equipped. The only issues were a weird smell from under the sink when the dishwasher was run. I would highly recommend this house for families especially with pets! Nice dog wash!

We had a great time at Neptune's Folly, one hiccup with the hot water heater but management was quick to respond and got it taken care of quickly. The house is located conveniently on a corner lot, the road behind is a main road and people do drive rather fast so please keep your dog on a leash. Parking is better than most rentals on Folly. The beach access is close and you can see the water from the front porch- great for coffee in the morning and relaxing in the evening. The kitchen is well stocked, we had no trouble making meals for our group, limited spices and staples left from previous renters so bring what you will need. Ice maker didn't seem to be working but there were ice trays, not a deal breaker for us as we are used to getting ice for our coolers. Beds were comfortable, we brought our own pillows after reading other reviews so I can't comment on pillows. Air conditioner was cold! Internet was fast and reliable, we weren't able to make the cable work but not there to watch TV really so again not a big deal. Check in and out is painless. We will definitely rent Neptune's Folly again. Thanks for letting us rent your house and enjoy your piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful week at Neptune's Folly. The location could not be better - maybe 50 steps to the beach access walkway. The cottage was very clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. We appreciated having both a coffee pot and Keurig machine. The wifi and TVs worked well. The front porch was probably our favorite part of the home with great views. We only had one car but there is plenty of room for multiple cars.

Easy beach access. The street came to a dead end one block below us so there was little traffic. House has been remodeled . It was perfect for our family and our golden retriever. We have have found our new favorite Folly rental!

This house is a wonderful place to stay. The location is on the North side of the island in a residential area near the wash out. We liked the quiet location. The construction was loud and all around us. It started at 8 am and ended at around 6. Other than that this is a cute clean home to enjoy Folly Beach. The front porch is one of it's best features!

Our family spent a week at Neptunes Folly over Thanksgiving. This is a great cottage in a quiet location. We loved that we could hear and see the beach from the huge front deck and beach access was directly across the street. The gate on the deck kept the dog safe while letting her enjoy the outdoors. Comfortable beds and nicely furnished kitchen. Lots of beach walks and cribbage. We highly recommend Neptunes Folly and hope to return next year.

Overall this place is great. the location is fantastic and there is plenty of parking. The living space is ample, and the front deck being covered adds so much space. On the downside, the pillows could use an upgrade and the refrigerator is not level, making it awkward and difficult to use.

This was our second year to Neptune's Folly. The house is older but has lots of charm, newly updated kitchen and baths and a view of the ocean. It's directly across the street from beach access so the location is great. The covered front porch is a big plus. There were a couple of HVAC issues, but the maintenance folks solved the problem promptly. it was a very relaxing vacation.

This house is in great shape, just across the street from the ocean which is visible from the porch. There was plenty of room for our group of five adults and three dogs. The instructions provided before our arrival made our check-in and check-out process so really easy!

Great location. Such a nice charming house in a great location. It had all that we needed and we loved it. The front porch was great for ocean viewing for us and the pooches. Would totally rent here again!

The home is cozy and nicely decorated. Very clean. Basic supplies for the home were there so recommend bringing more if staying more than a weekend. Communication was excellent. The home is situated directly across from the walkway to the beach. Perfect location and plenty of parking. The beach area was more private and not overpopulated. We brought our dog and it was perfect for them with a big backyard and plenty of walking in the area. Staying in the area, we recommend renting a golf cart to get around to avoid parking fees and easier to park in the area. Charleston Golf Rental is our suggestion. Lots of great local restaurants and bars. Super casual and very friendly locals. Would recommend this home.

Great house and perfect location
Some of my family got together to celebrates some birthdays. The house was just as pictured and the communication from the property management was excellent. We enjoyed just sitting on the front porch and watching/listening to the ocean. And then it was just a short walk across the public access walkway to the beach! So close and convenient. Everything about our stay was wonderful and we will definitely be back!
