The room itself was perfectly fine.
I think the listing is very misleading. I was expecting at the very least a reception of some sort ( no, it’s self check in, see below) and a breakfast room as breakfast at the property was an option. Neither was available.
No mention in the listing of the self check in, experience was terrible. Very hard to find initially then took an hour to access the front door as no instructions were sent, took several phone calls and messages to finally be given correct codes. Chose to pay upfront when making the reservation for breakfast at the property expecting to be able to eat breakfast there, turned out your breakfast was in a restaurant a 5 minute walk away on presentation of a ‘voucher’and about a 30 minute wait to be served food. Was unable to take breakfast on leaving morning as too early / inconvenient . Have emailed a request of a refund for unused voucher, not received as yet, response was it’s the weekend please wait.
No maid service so no bed making, towel replacement or toilet roll replenishing, had to buy toilet roll. I am left wondering if I had booked a week would we have had to survive on the same towels and a loo roll for the duration.

The location is excellent for visiting the historical centre. The accommodation was clean and had everything you could wish for. The staff were easy to contact and resolved any problems instantly. The Breakfast at a nearby restaurant was exceptional.
The Weather. But you can’t have it all. Very wet May in Split this year.

This apartment has an amazing location. We were so close to everything in the old city and just a stone's throw away from the main square and cathedral. The room was so beautiful and the staff were very flexible with moving our check in earlier and storing out luggage at the end. Would recommend this to anyone.
FYI there is no lift access.

Very clean, central place in Split. Spacious room. Great location.
Very rigid regarding check in and out times. But they try to accomodate by allowing luggage to be stored at own risk.

We loved the location - in the middle of everything! We also loved the shared terrace - what a fantastic little oasis!
Our room was on the small side. It would benefit from a real coffee maker (vs instant coffee and a kettle) and a second comfy chair. We appreciated the suggestion on where to park, but would have benefited from it earlier.

The room was a decent size and modern, very clean. Location was excellent and quiet, even though so central to shops and restaurants within the Palace. Breakfast was limited but good.

Central location in Old walled City. Clean an comfortable. Mateo always available on telephone and helpful and friendly. Extra towels provided.
Difficult to find at night, poor directions from owner, wouldn't have found the apartment without Mateo's help on the phone.
There is a reception area but this is never staffed.
The terrace was not accessible from our room.
The description of 'garden view' and 'landmark view' is a joke, all the view we had from Room 3 was the neighbour's scruffy backyard and washing.
TV wasn't working on arrival. This was fixed but very small number of channels available, no English language stations.

Was woken up every morning of the vacation around 7am by the sound of vacuums above us and constant moving of furniture. Maybe start cleaning processes a little later in the day! Other than that it was perfect

The location (inside the retirement palace of an all-time great Roman emperor), the room, the bathroom, the check-in system and the fast and easy communication with the staff.
The breakfast wasn't particularly interesting - would have preferred to find breakfast other places nearby.

A beautifully renovated apartment in a fantastic location. We loved the little terrace and staying here! Highly recommended!

The very central location was definitely a plus and our apartment had a very nice balcony. And even though the location is very central it is quiet due to being in a narrow ally.
Overall the communication from the host can be improved (at least on our case).
I got prompt replays but depending on who is on shift it feels like some information got lost. E.g. although it was confirmed to get the code for the key lock on the day of the arrival we did not get it. When we were on site we first tried some booking numbers then upon request got the wrong key and then our apartment was already occupied. Luckily someone showed up relatively quickly and the topic was resolved ~1,5h after we arrived.
Few days later we got a message to look for some Breakfast cards which are in our apartment (which was not mentioned before). I searched for them some 4h later when we got to our apartment and after I wrote that I could not find them I was informed that someone from their staff already went into our room and took them. This should have also been better communicated.

amazing location, beautifully and tastefully decorated with everything you need supplied. communication prior to and during stay excellent and all at a very reasonable cost. only regret is being so busy out and about we didn’t have the opportunity to make the most of our private terrace
nothing all was perfect (though if we had stayed longer than 4 nights a towel change option would have been appreciated)

Breakfast at the local cafe was very nice! Clean and comfortable room. Enjoyed the complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits. Lovely bathroom with good size shower. Appreciated the hair straighteners in the drawer as well. Excellent location in the very heart of Split.
My only negative would be that the bed was very soft!

Could hear people moving around the room upstairs but not a problem unless guests come home in the early hours.

Right in the heart of split, Perfect location to get your bearings and make the most out of your time there. It’s situated in the old town which seems to be A bit quieter than the other side. Room was very clean and picturesque.
