We prepaid the hotel stay with a bank transfer using the bank details provided by the hotel, in agreement with the hotel's reservations team. After the transfer was made, the hotel informed us that the name of the hotel, which they provided, was wrong. The hotel claimed that the money would be transferred back to our bank account, so in good faith we paid the stay again at check in. After two months, the money has not been refunded yet, meaning we have paid twice for the same reservation due to a mistake of the hotel. The hotel also stopped answering our emails.

A very nice place - located in a quiet part of the French concession, subway in walking distance, not too far from city center. Very nice rooms, modern, stylish, comfy bed and pillows. Super professional and helpful staff. Abundant breakfast with anything you might want. Located in nice garden.

- The room design is nice but the fact that there is no separation other than a lightly tinted glass between the toilet and the bedroom was disturbing when using the toilet while your partner is in the room - Rooms were starting to wear out, e.g. some noticeable but unremovable stains on carpet

Cosy and top class furniture and bathroom fittings.

Some renovation works was ongonig in the roadside outside the hotel, too noisy in the night to sleep. Upon request,the room was changed to quiet location. 😀

The room is nicely decorated and well kept. Facilities good and modern, even use a dyson air dryer. Comfortable stay. The nearby area is very nice. Staff are efficient and polite. Will stay again if we are in Shanghai

The hotel gave my husband a complimentary birthday cake which originally was very nice. however, the delivery team made a mistake and wrongly sent us a consumed birthday cake intended for another room. We were shocked when we opened the cake box. Reflected the situation to Front Desk and they quickly responded. Apologized by the Lobby Manager herself and gave us another cake with some hand-made cookies as a token of apology. We accepted it as everyone will make mistake sometimes. But the complimentary birthday cake was not delicious at all and looked ugly. May be the cake shop should upgrade their standard
