Excellent host, good location, close to the beach

La Casa di Zuecca is a small 4 room establishment. To call it a hotel would be a little bit of an overstatement. That said the rooms are very well decorated and modern. It’s location, down a small street that we would probably describe as an alley, is only 3 minutes walk from the centre of Monterosso. It is very well located for access to local bars and restaurants. The owner, Stefano, is very welcoming and helpful. The bed was firm and we found it very comfortable but might not be to everyone’s taste.

There are a few little things that could do with being sorted out. The room safe did not work, the batteries were flat. The soap dispenser on the bathroom was also faulty. The towel rail, which was loose, was positioned directly above the toilet which just felt wrong. Although the location was great if anyone has accessibility issues then the path to the accommodation may be a challenge as it’s uneven and steep in parts. Also worth mentioning is that the rooms are on the first floor so you do have stairs to climb. There is a roof terrace which might be nice to sit out on in the evening but there was no furniture when we visited (early April)

All is ok

Everything was incredible! The room was big and comfortable and everything was extremely clean. The owner of the property is very kind and really goes the extra mile to make your stay great!

Stefano was very gracious. The hike up the walkway to the room was too much given the amount of luggage we had but Stefano helped us and on the way out, he showed us a shortcut. No view of the sea but a nice rooftop terrace. Rooms are small but sparkling clean! Great location to main square and beach and train station (best with less luggage). All in all we were very satisfied. :)

Stefano was an amazing host. He provided breakfast, cleaned the rooms daily, provided restaurant recommendations, and went above and beyond to support our stay. The room was clean, safe, modern, and comfortable. Such an amazing experience and I would highly recommend staying at this property.

Great location with walking distance to restaurants, beach and hiking trails. Friendly and service minded host. The bathroom was clean and nice.

We had to call the host almost every time entering the entrance to the hotel since they had a issue with the lock function to the door. No balcony and no place to hang your wet towels except from inside the bathroom.

No coffee in room. It was also a bit warm in the room.

Stefan was a wonderful host, going out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and offering tips about the town. The terrace is beautiful and we loved having wine up there at night and looking across the rooftops. The included breakfast was delicious and had a large variety. When I woke up late it was still set up and Stefan made sure I got some and even gave me a bag to take with me as I left for the day.

Old town charmer! The owner was so friendly and welcoming. He helped me with anything I needed and genuinely wanted me to enjoy my stay. The location was tucked back from the main touristy area which made for a quiet oasis after a busy day of sightseeing. The room was comfortable and clean. Perfect for my solo adventure. I would recommend this to anyone.

I got a little lost finding it the first time but then realized it’s actually pretty easy to get to. I blame the jet lag. Everything was perfect!
