I have stayed here several times.. it's always been comfortable and price is good.

lovely old Mexican house - good location not far from centre. made our bed everyday. loved the dogs. very secure front door, helpful owners

very cold at night, extra blankets are provided but just bare in mind.

Fernando (owner) was so friendly and attentive to my needs, I was treated like family. The breakfast was very good and the burgers are good and inexpensive. The cleaning crew and waitress was also very kind.

Rooms need a bit of an upgrade, some doors need changing, but for the price it's a great deal. Very affordable hostel with basic comforts, fine for the budget traveler.

The toilet had a leak so there was some water running out onto the floor. We had to ask for more toilet paper since they didn’t refill when cleaning the room, which was a little annoying. Breakfast didn’t start until 9am, which is a shame as that coincides with most tours also starting at 9.

Really lovely old rustic building, lots of character. Really comfortable bed, good hot shower. Nice breakfast. And exceptionally friendly and helpful owner.

I loved the the staff of the hotel. It was a beautiful colonial style home and Fernando, whose family owns the inn speaks perfect English and was able to discuss culture, history and politics with me. The beds were big and they offer a delicious full breakfast and other meals during the day. The rooms and common areas were very clean and comfortable to relax in with good wifi.

The room is clean. The bed is comfortable. Very nice hot shower. The staff is super friendly and English speaking. Always asking if we are all right. The location is perfect. You walk out of the street and are at the main square.

Its very cold at night. The staff gives you more blankets and they even made a fire in the fireplace against the cold. So they did everything to make is comfortable. But in the end it's still way to cold inside because it's a very old building without good isolation. So they really have to invest in that.

-good breakfast, there are few options so everyone can find something -good location -very friendly and atentive stuff, especially the owner. The nights were wery cold so the owner gave us many blankets and lit fireplace in the hall to make it a bit warmer

- could be cleaner, there were spiderwebs on the ceiling in the room - very small and uncomfortable bed, first night wasn't so bad but every next one was more uncomfortable and painful - room was quite dark and cold

Friendly owner. Close to the center. Wifi was working well. Hot water was working too. Bathroom and the room was clean. We stayed only for couple hours because we were traveling somewhere else. Overall, if I stay for longer time, I will pay for better room, but we pay for the cheapest one only to shower and leaving our luggage there.

The room was old, a lot of to improve. There was a window to the hall only, so no normal sun light. Also the window cant be closed properly. The door from bathroom was broken as well (we couldnt close it). The main door from the hotel was locked at night, but the key was not working properly, so we had to ring the bell.

We loved the fires at night and the breakfast was great. The hosts are also very nice and helpful! We love the family owned vibe and the overall coziness of the place. We will stay here again if we return to San Cristobal.

Breakfast could be offered a bit earlier since all the tour pickups are supposed to be at 9am or earlier.

Price was great, as it turns out - only that and not enough value for it anyways.

The whole place has a abandoned and given up look, the room was filthy, with the glass in the window missing (San Cristobal gets cold at night, we froze thanks to this), shower curtain was full of mold and cut into pieces, toilet flush did not work. There was dust and mold in the room, the whole place was cold and damp. The restaurant seemed closed, there was trash and dust in common areas, the owners didn’t seem to care and watched tv all day (real loud and just next to our room). We had a feeling this was once a nice place to stay, but they’ve given up or something bad happened and they no longer care. As dog lovers, we also felt sorry for the 2 pups kept in the garden, dirty and smelly, during rain and storm, which seemed rather cruel. The dogs kept barking a lot, which also made sleep difficult. We booked another place immediately after the first dreadful night and left without regrets. My worst stay in Mexico overall, even if it’s cheap - trust me, it’s not worth the stress, filth and disappointment.

Great location, cozy little hotel with old fashioned charisma. Great breakfast and overall amazing value for money. San Cristobal is awesome too!

The best breakfast in weeks of travel and the owner is super cool, with a wealth of knowledge...i loved my stay as it offered far beyond the generic hotel room. The place is a hidden gem, an old building, with heaps of character and family history...i will definitely return.

How shower all the time, no problems. Very attentive and informative hosts. Good location on the edge of the city center, quiet and calm. Good internet and everyday cleaning services.

For breakfast was almost the same food included, for a few nights it's ok, but for longer stay can be a bit boring. There is a good selections on the menu but it costs a little extra. Although food was really good. A bit cold house, but with blankets was ok, and with fireplace running was totally fine.

Fernando and his mother are very friendly and welcoming hosts. There is a safe private parking space and the historic center is 5 blocks away. Fast working wifi and very hot, strong shower. Comfy bed and warm blankets. Beautiful historic building. They even prepared us a delicious vegan breakfast. Super friendly and helpfull owner. Would stay there again and highly recommend this beautiful house.
