The hotel is on the edge of "little india", and on first viewing is a little quirky ( don't take that as a negative ) in a converted shop house. The rooms and facilities are very good, and the lap pool on the roof a great addition. The hotel location is a 10 min walk from the river that is the central focus of the tourist attractions of Melaka,

Although the hotel didn't have instant kerb appeal (as the website phone was taken at the back of the hotel we had different expectations) we instantly felt relieved once inside. The rooms of are built behind an older heritage building meaning they are modern and more importantly very quiet away from the busy main street running through Little India. Convenient location only 10 minutes' walk to the main centre. Room comfortable - great bed - although some of the plugs were erratic and appliances didn't always work. Great shower too with plenty of hot water. Lovely pool on the rooftop although perhaps a little more shade would help. Staff were very helpful and friendly.Very glad we chose this hotel for our stay.
The breakfast was generous but caters for a more SE Asian palate. I personally would have appreciated more fruit and definitely better bread; the French pastries were not always fresh either. The coffee was good however as were the fresh juices and the staff very accommodating and pleasant.

Hôtel de charme, loin des chaînes d'hôtel aseptisé.
Décoré avec beaucoup de goût, mais c'est le personnel qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable, toujours à l'écoute très professionnel et très agréable.

Peaceful and calm hotel in heart of Melaka. Beds are soft/ comfortable. Breakfast is good and staff friendly. Pool on rooftop great and ambience is very calm and relaxing. Great place to stay!

Excellent location close to the historic centre. Decent size rooms and very large bathrooms. The rooftop pool is big and a welcome relaxation after a day of walking and exploring in the heat and humidity.
The breakfast is nothing to write home about. A very basic 'continental' option + a local one. Something they do with the scrambled eggs do not make them very palatable.
A few reviews mention a musty and humidity smell in some of the rooms. We can confirm this. We had three rooms in our party and the one above the parking lot smelled of humidity. The other rooms close to the inner courtyard and pool had no such smell.

Our room was on the first floor facing the car park and the only source of light was through the bathroom. You always needed to pull the blinds down when you wanted to use the bathroom or change clothes. It was also not a nice view. So would recommend checking your room location.

Location, building and scenery were lovely. Rooftop pool amazing.
Breakfast was quite limited; and the bar that is there was closed. Although a 7-eleven is opposite of the hotel, you might want to stock up on some food and drinks.

Lovely helpful staff. Great location easy walking distance to sites. Fabulous local food market at back of hotel. We had Malay, Indian and Thai 👌 great breakfast at hotel.

The layout of the hotel makes people feel relaxed. Our check-in time is on a weekday, so we can avoid the crowds, and the swimming pool will not be crowded, so the children can enjoy it
the air con very noisy , the hotel carpark entrance is very dark and it is not so convenient for female driver when drive in at night .the toilet no exhaust fan , therefore it is humid.the breakfast is not serve by buffet style instead of pre order day before ,a bit disappointed at this area .

The room was nice and cold. Coffee capsule machine worked well. Bedsheets were clean and neat upon arrival. Parking was always available on hotel grounds (behind).
I really did not like that the breakfast buffet was not available for the first day we were there as there were not many guests checked in. I paid for a good breakfast not only because I love hotel breakfast buffets but because the reviews mentioned the breakfast here is very good. Instead we had to select something from their fixed breakfast menu (ala carte, not much to choose from). The next day, buffet was available as more guests were checked in, but the spread wasn't as great as the reviews said. Was quite disappointed.

The location, the pool and thenservice.
Our room did not get cleaned even with the sign on the door. Fortunately, there was a towel change upon request.
We happened to arrive the week when the buffet breakfast was halted. That was a bit disappointing as we had chosen this hotel based on previous good reviews about the breakfast.
