Overall the stay was great, the location was outstanding. Unfortunately we did have some random people show up to view the property as it is currently on the market without any notice due to a miscommunication which was not ideal. Another piece of information was that there is an apartment that was part of the property that was not disclosed in the listing. The parking while was there was rather troublesome at times with the resident from downstairs and their guests. The outside of the residence needs some loving care and attention but it seems as though perhaps with it being sold that hasn’t been a priority.

Check in process wasn’t great. Description on where to locate the lockbox for the key was poor and the beds were terrible. We left a night early because all 6 of us couldn’t take another night in the beds. No kitchen wash clothes and one 2 for the showers.

We booked this property early last winter and at that time the listing included access to a downstairs bedroom. The property was listed as sleeping 10 people and when I booked, I indicated that we would have 9 people in my party. As we were driving to the property on check-in day, the property manager emailed that there were only 3 bedrooms and noticed I had 9 in my party. After some back and forth, it turns out that they were no longer including the downstairs bedroom in the rental, but had failed to communicate this to us prior to our arrival. When we arrived at the property, we found that it could only accommodate 7 people and we were scrambling to figure out how to accommodate our party. What was more frustrating was that even though the unit was now listed for $200 LESS per night that what I had paid, the owner fought me until the last day and finally gave us $1000 back (instead of the $1400 difference). To make matters worse, there was an ant infestation in the kitchen, the dishwasher was broken and didn't work until the last full day of our stay, and when we arrived all but one parking space was taken by other people. I will say the property manager was responsive about those issues even though it took a number of visits to rectify the problems. The location is great and the outdoor spaces were greatly enjoyed by us, but having the owner balk at correcting an issue that was 100% their screw up and bordering on fraud was a disappointment to say the least.

While the house was indeed a VERY short walk from the beach, the property itself was in need of a lot of care. The broken garbage disposal included a bowl to catch water underneath that would have overflowed if we hadn't noticed it, and the main refrigerator didn't work for the first 24 hours. Additionally, the outlets in the en suite were broken, and the bed in the master bedroom was so uncomfortable I had to check to see if we were sleeping on actual bedsprings. Also, there is no parking space up front (parking is only available at the top of a VERY steep driveway), and the property instructions, which included nearby restaurants and tips for the area, were at least 10 years out of date. I think I read somewhere that this property was in need of a big hug and that's the perfect way to describe it. With that said, you cannot beat the location. Being that close to the beach was convenient and easy for both the adults and children.

Nice property in a great location. Short walk to the beach with plenty to do nearby. Owner was very responsive and the property was fantastic!

We had a great time! Ran around town in the morning, made sandwiches and spent the afternoon on the beach. So close to everything, nested above it all. The property could use a hug, but the house itself was really great! Equipped with almost everything you'd need, plus a few things.

I've stayed at this property twice now and I love it more each time. The location is unbeatable and it's great for a family getaway. My only complaint is the oven. I think there's a default sabbath mode setting that kicks in. It's foiled dinner two years in a row, but I won't forget about this weird mode again. Despite this annoyance, I'm ready to book again for next year. I love the place!

This is an older home with a great location. House is clean and has the basics. Outside areas are great, but could use some cleaning up. Lots of minor issues with the house that should be addressed more proactively. That said, owner was very responsive. Beware of very steep driveway. No issue for an suv, but could be problematic for sedans. Overall, good rental with great view and location.
