Awesome location is perfect any season.
Tutto il necessario per una vacanza in montagna è appena dentro la porta di questa bella cittadina. Arredato con gusto questa struttura offre tre comode camere da letto più un soppalco con un divano letto. Dopo qualche tempo sulle piste e la banda si desidera riscaldarsi al camino prima di preparare un pasto nella cucina completamente attrezzata. Rilassatevi nella vasca idromassaggio privata o godere della posizione tranquilla con un libro o un film. WIFI gratuito è fornito per ogni noleggio. Gli ospiti di primavera, estate e autunno apprezzeranno il campo da tennis e il laghetto in loco. Situato a Woods End, Moose Lodge si trova proprio sul bordo del National Wildlife Refuge. Three adults and a toddler stayed for five nights to ski Timberline and see the area. House had everything we needed for our stay. Loved the giant couch to lounge on and the hot tub after a long tiring day. The smart TV was nice to stream Netflix and Disney+. We enjoyed watching the deer pass through the backyard every day. Drive to Timberline is quick and accessible through the gate on the west side of the overflow parking area.House is a bit outdated and could use a good deep cleaning (lots of dust on the fans and fake flowers, dirt and debris under beds and dressers where the vacuum can't quite reach). Another towel bar and hand towel ring on the second floor would be super helpful for keeping towels dry and off the floor/counter. Also, why are there no curtains/blinds in the one bedroom? Very annoying to not have privacy for changing as well as no way to keep the room dark when the sun comes up.

An exceptional homelike experience! The door locks ALL need replacing! We spent 30 minutes trying to get into the house upon arrival! Nothing worked! Finally the maintenance man Mike came and his keys did not work either! This was not a great start but finally got a side door open and the rest of our stay was exceptional! Very comfortable, lovely amenities and so very cozy!After 20 years of renting at Timberline, Moose Lodge is our absolute favorite home away from home!

I've stayed at Moose Lodge several times of the years. Besides the great location (I prefer "down the mountain" rather than "up the mountain), I love the big couch. The beds are comfortable too. Aside from a bit of a mix-up with the keys at check-in, everything was perfect.

The location is tremendous. The rental would be much more pleasant if the huge amount of personal knickknacks and plastic plants were removed, as it is hard to find space to put ones own stuff on a bare surface. The personal pictures of someone's children give a message that one is invading someone else's home, rather than staying in a vacation rental place. Finding someone else's used bandaid in the jacuzzi was a little yucky, but the tub was great. Also, it would be nice to have a medium or large sized frying pan.

This was our first time visiting Canaan Valley. The house is a stones throw from Timberline which was so convenient skiing with young kids on different schedules. The house was clean and very well appointed. We did have some issue with internet service going in and out but that was a problem in the whole area and not specific to Moose Lodge. The beds were comfortable, the hot tub was great, seriously can’t wait to return next year.

We had plenty of space, and especially enjoyed the deck and hottub. We had lots of room to cook and eat. We took nice walks from the cabin. There were plenty of nature activities to do in the area, too. The main thing I would have wanted at this place is a lifter for the hottub cover, as it was a bit hard to get on and off without one, and we had to sweep away a lot of leaves that had piled up on the deck between the house and the hottub, in the space where the cover seemed like it should go. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was easy to cook in. The area was nice. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

We had plenty of space, and especially enjoyed the deck and hottub. We had lots of room to cook and eat. We took nice walks from the cabin. There were plenty of nature activities to do in the area, too. Wonderful weekend in Canaan
We ended up staying at Bear's Retreat instead of Timberline. I was concerned about handicap accessibility but very accommodating to wheelchair and placed a shower chair in the shower and worked fine. Beautiful property and the leaves were at their peak. Would definitely recommend to anyone and very easy check in.

Comfortable and very convenient to skiing
The house was the perfect size for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. The pull-out sofa bed upstairs was a bit uncomfortable, but it was fine for younger kids. The house was comfortable, very clean and had nice details such as a well-outfitted kitchen, a good selection of board games, and forest views from every window. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The location is ideal for skiers, as it's very close to the ski area and a ski rental shop.

Great Location
This townhouse is located between Canaan Valley and Blackwater Falls State parks. Also in close proximity are Canaan National Wild-life Refugee and the colorful town of Davis which offers electic dining options. The townhouse itself is tastefully decorated, clean and well stocked with towels, soaps, dishes, pots and pans, etc. The beds are comfortable. The trees surrounding the back of the property offer privacy on the deck. The hot tub is an added bonus and a great place to view the stars. Internet works well. Some games are provided and a notebook that tells about some of the local places to eat, tour and hike. We would definitely stay at this property again or recommend it to friends.

4th of July Vacay
This was a nice home. Staying there felt like you was staying at home and not at a rental. The kitchen had every item you'd need to prepare meals with. Just had to buy our groceries. The beds were comfortable. They had plenty of bath towels available. Property management is very responsive to any issues. I would definately want to rent again.

We came up for the Leaf Peeper Festival in September. This is the second year that we stayed in this unit. We had a great time both years. Moose Lodge is homey and well equipped It is also a great choice for a family who needs a place that is handicapped accessible. It has a ramp and a first floor bedroom with a zero entry shower. While we weren’t in need of these amenities we have friends who are and we were excited to tell them that Moose Lodge could accommodate them. There is a hot tub, fireplace, and outdoor fire pit. While the furniture is a little dated, the unit is exceptionally clean and functional. One of the most valuable assets is the personnel st Best of Canaan. They are there to help iron out any difficulties and our family certainly appreciated all of their extra efforts

We stayed with a group of friends here during Thanksgiving 2017. This is a nice and serene corner of the world. It is ideal if one is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The price is more reasonable than most cabins of this size and quality. The cabin was well equipped with everything. There's a decent sized patio and a good grill. The service was also okay. There was some glitch as the management gave us the wrong key and we had to wait late at night in the cold, but they were kind enough to respond immediately and fix the issue. Overall, this is a great place to stay at at a very competitive price.
