Loved the motel & the floor to ceiling glass in the bedroom out to the peaceful garden. The motel was very quiet despite being located just off of the main road. Lisa, at reception was awesome & brought us a portable gas weber bbq to prepare our dinner. We liked everything about this motel, free washing machine for guests + it was very convenient & close to Takaka center. We'll definitely stay here again.

Comfy beds with electric blankets for winter nights. Nice sunny little deck seating for lunch. Everything basic in kitchen to make an easy dinner.
Noticeable traffic noise in front bedroom due to main road, earplugs helped with a good night's sleep.

roomy 3 bedroom unit
hot water only ran for 1-2minutes in the shower at a time. , however we didn’t report it and I believe if we had reported it the problem would have been easily fixed. so really our fault….

The unit was well designed. I am sure that, during the tourist season, it would be a pleasant place to stay.
It was not in season and the single member of staff was not on site. The heating was inadequate and the electric blanket required a disentanglement of leads to get it operating.

Very easy check in. Welcome note left with key. Basic, facilities but everything you need. The garden out back was lovely. Very quiet.
On arrival we saw one of the beds had been slept in and left unmade. We tried to contact owners to get remedied but no luck. We ended up having to wash and pay for the drier to get them clean so we could make up the bed ourselves. The double bed mattress was a little tired and soft.
