Mary and Ian were wonderful hosts- loved sharing stories during breakfast; our room was very clean; room was decorated with thought; shower space is adequate; good water pressure and easy to adjust hot or cold water; near room is a small fridge, teas, coffee and cookies; has one window with screen that is open; wonderful breakfast: yogurt, fresh fruit, muesli, eggs cooked to order, bacon, toast, homemade jam, juice, coffee, tea; breakfast served 7:30-10:00; very quiet neighborhood; near Lake Taupo; off street parking

The room we had was lovely and airy and a really decent size, being a lounge room as well as a bedroom. It was comfortable and clean.
Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choices and the hosts we very friendly and welcoming.
The shared fridge on the landing between rooms was a bit inconvenient.

Mary & Ian’s loft is very inviting and cosy. Their breakfast is beautiful with Mary’s homemade sourdough and Ian’s coffee. We had 2 great nights and definitely recommend to any small families and couple travelers!

Such lovely friendly hosts willing to do anything to make my stay perfect. A beautiful home with everything I needed. The breakfast was amazing with home made bread and muesli and lovely fresh fruit .

Not much. The bathroom was clean and the bed was relatively comfortable.
There was so much wrong. The hostess was not vaccinated. We would not have booked there if we had known. She only volunteered that as we were leaving. She did not check our passes.
I booked and paid for breakfast but the hostess is not making it because of ‘mandates’. She offered no compensation. The room was very tiny, far smaller than the average motel room and the trucks thundered past all night. There was a table in the hall to make tea and coffee but the coffee and most of the teas had run out.

The location is nice which is 10 min drive to the city center of Taupo. The room is cozy and the host is very friendly.

We did not have the breakfast but I'm sure it was nice. The room was clean and tidy-
A fridge in the room to have some ice for a drink, perhaps a microwave would be good too. It was bit noisy with other guests below in the kitchen having breakfast. Sky Tv would have been nice to have.

Everything else. Lovely room, great hosts.
Only thing would be in room coffee options. Would be nice to have proper sized coffee cups (not thise tiny dainty tea cups) and plunger coffee.

Excellent cooked breakfast, friendly hosts.
Room has no soundproofing. We could literally hear our neighbours next to us or even people downstairs talk. At night sound from cars passing by can be heard. Also the toilet tank makes random noises in the middle of the night which can also disturb your sleep.
