Le personnel était d’une gentillesse incroyable! Le restaurant offrait des repas de qualité. Le cadre est vraiment splendide et l’hôtel très intimiste.

La literie mériterait d’être revue.

We had a great stay. There is a supermarket and some restaurants nearby. It is easy to explore the northwest of the Island. The stuff was friendly and we enjoyed the evenings at the beach.

Beautiful island resort decor as shown in the pictures. Fine white sand, genuinely helpful staff, tasty fresh breakfast buffet with made to order items and Illy coffee. Free glass boat was great. Everything is done in a thoughtful way to give a quality experience to the guest.

I expected the rooms a little bit more equipped. For the price I found the rooms a little bit simple.

Great location on the beach and the resort is kind of small which is generally a good thing. Walking distance to supermarket and a couple of restaurants is very useful.

The room did not correspond to my expectations; I have opted for a double sea-view preferably top floor and the room I got, located on the ground floor, had a very limited view on the sea (only and partially from the terrasse). Moreover, there was a permanent (day and night) noise due to some generator very close which I could hear non stop. The inclusive options are not inclusive! for instance a cup of espresso cafe is not included in the breakfast. Inclusive means that only a selection of local products are included. Very limited choice of main plate for dinner. Probably not adapted for vegetarian or vegans!

The hotel is a gem, a tiny oasis on a beautiful stretch of pristine beach. We most enjoyed having drinks while watching the sun go down in the evenings - the orange sunsets were spectacular.

There was not a single things that wasn’t amazing about our stay at Sakoa.

- amazing view out of room Nr 14 - total relaxing atmosphere - small compound, just ~ 16 rooms - sun shades at the beach always available, no one made reservation like in big compound at 6 am for all day :)… really you came/ you left / you came - bar service on the beach - comfy room, nice smell - hotel is close to end of beach, so nice walks on a long beach - dive center is around 200 meters, amazing and crazy divemaster, awesome diving on wracks

- the rooms need some attentation, maybe just a day of work and it would be amazing - switches for lights are where you would never expect them - too many boats on the beach, limited swimming - once, as solo traveler, for breakfast at 7:30 i did sit down as single in the front (3 out of 11 table occupied ) and i was looked at and asked as if i should move to back…. when i left at 7:50, no tables occupied.. - breakfast - you have everything, but does not look like a 4/5 star hotel. BTW capuchino is extra charged at breakfast!?/ normal coffee is free.

Location is really good - close to local shops and restaurants. The terrace in front of our room and small garden was amazing. Beach is also nice, sand is soft, beach chairs comfortable and close to sea. Walking on the beach I think this could be the best location of the whole beach (others seemed too big and impersonal). It was nice to find out that there are some water activities available for free in the hotel (glass-bottom boat, kayak..).

Breakfast was average, I expected more items to choose from. We tried 2 cocktails when laying on the beach; it was good, but no taste of alcohol at all, therefore it was quite expensive for just pineapple juice :) Room was really clean and nice, but unfortunately every night and morning we heard washing mashine from the other side of the wall. I would also appreciate some program for the guests once in a while.. small evening concert with local music or something like this. The hotel has a big potencial what to offer to guests, so let’s hope they will find out :)

Beautiful landscaping of the hotel grounds, lovely beach and free water sport activities included. Reception staff very friendly. Room very clean.

The bed wasn't particularly comfortable and air conditioning was loud. There was no lighting in the main bedroom. Breakfast didn't meet the four star rating. Overall value for money not great. Wouldn't stay again.

Cozy hotel on a very beautiful beach. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast options (even almond and soy milk offered). Free water activities that you can book for as many times as you like.

No water bottles were provided. The third party service provider for the waterskiing doesn’t follow the agreed schedule and we had to wait very long each time, which is not the hotel’s fault.

The setting is wonderful. The staff extremely friendly and always willing to help. We had an awesome stay at Sakoa.

Beautiful hotel with a perfect location. Right at the beach and a large supermarket and a great option of restaurants nearby. Really nice staff and the shower facilities after check out was a big plus.

Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. Selection of dishes was quite small and local specialities were missing. The breakfast didn't match the standard of the hotel overall. We had a room with a kitchen but no fridge and the minibar was really small.

We had a lovely stay at Sakoa with our 6 month old son. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We have some lovely pictures of our son with the staff as they all enjoyed him so much. It's a lovely smaller location that allows for more personal connection and a more relaxed atmosphere than many of the bigger resorts. Rooms are beautiful and clean and the private beach is great. Would highly recommend!

Food: We booked for breakfast only. They have an array of delicious cut fruit as well as fruit salad. There are two types of yogurt and at least 3 types of cereal. They have about 3 types of cheese and cold meats. Fresh croissants, baguettes and pain au chocolate is available. Each day they have a selection of 3 different Mauritian treats which included things like a custard and apple flan, samosas and other fried or baked goods. There is a choice of a variety of styles of eggs with the usual accompanyments or crepes. We had dinner at the hotel once (seafood skewers) and the food was fresh and delicious. Beach: the beach is lovely with mostly soft sand on the dry parts. As in all areas of Mauritius there is coral around and it’s best to wear water shoes if walking around in the water. They have a designated buoyed areas where you can swim without boats. Despite a number of boats being moored on the shore by the hotel there didn’t seem to be a huge amount of active boat activity. The sunsets in the evening from the beach were breathtaking. There are always towels and loungers available. Location: there are many restaurants within easy walking distance in each direction. The main Trou au Biches beach is very close and has a boat house, tour operators and taxis. There is a comprehensive supermarket about 100m away which also has nice options for souvenirs such as vanilla, spices, sugar and other trinkets as well as a pharmacy. There are more shops selling clothing and souvenirs near and on the main beach, a short walk away. Added Services: We only used the glass bottom boat as one of the free services and it was a real treat and the driver had a good sense of humour. We were extremely lucky to have dolphins in the area at the day and time we were on the boat and following a trip to the reef we went to deeper waters and caught a few glimpses of the dolphins albeit fairly far away. The driver stops on the reef for snorkelling if you like or you can stay on the boat
