The view is amazing, stunning. It is really peaceful. Room is clean spacious with all facilities. Hosts are very polite, helpful and flexible. They helped us booking a backwater tour. We recommend for sure !

Beautiful balcony view outside the room I thoroughly enjoyed waking up at sunrise and soaking up the tranquility of the lake. Dinners and breakfast at the homestay were such good value for money and delicious.

The area is a good 40 minute tuk tuk from the typical backwater tours in Alleppey and we tried to go out for walks in the evenings but couldn't really find a clear walking path around the lake and ended up on backroads.

The location is really amazing. Food was really good and staff very helpful !

The beds are a little hard.

Orchid Lake View is a safe, comfortable and peaceful homestay. The views out to the lake from the shady and well tended garden are exceptional; particularly wonderful around sunset and sunrise. The lovely staff and owners are attentive and kind and are available to help with arrangements and advice. Lastly, the food at Orchid Lake View is exceptionally delicious, home-cooked Keralan feasts ! A real treat. We highly recommend this wonderful homestay and will recommend it to others. Many thanks to the staff and owner.

Amazing view looking out over the lake (great at sunrise) and incredibly helpful staff - they arranged drivers, backwater tours (etc), and had suggestions for the local area. Also a fantastic lunch. Hammock to chill in. lovely authentic home cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner. Location is fantastic for quiet and peaceful stay - be aware that you will need a tuk-tuk / taxi to get to the Alleppey backwater tours (which the homestay organised very efficiently for Rs 800) - I was able to split this with other guests also doing the same tour as me. Back water tour is Rs 1000 per person and I would highly highly recommend doing this. .

As mentioned, the distance to Alleppey town is around 40 mins in tuk-tuk.

Location and surroundings are beautiful.

The room. Room had quite some mold. Mold in the walls and ceilings. Was a bit dissapointing to be honest.

Everything about this place was fantastic! We loved the food which was freshly made, lots of it, offers of more and very very tasty. Breakfast was delicious too. The view was stunning. The room had great air conditioning and the shower was hot!

There was nothing we didn't like!

We loved the situation with a great view of the Backwaters and set in a very rural village area. Lots of walking. People so friendly even when we gate crashed the local festival celebration. We were invited to be amounst them. Watching village life on the water. The staff were great and the home cooked food was good especially as they were trying to cover our European tastes. Nice hot showers as well. Well done. Def will be back.

The beds were so hard . Felt the place needed general maintance eg wires hanging loose, windows frames needed cleaning and maybe the fence replaced by the water and not just broken poles. Nice the room was not now pink as on the photos. Covid not helped but just an bit of an update we felt was needed.

We really enjoyed ourselves. Suggestions for the future which will increase customer satisfaction that little bit extra; - Soft drinks available to purchase at the homestay without having to arrange it in - Food menu available to see just so we can idea of what to request for lunch/dinner, especially if you are not used to country Other than that it's a real nice place and the staff make the experience

The views from the balcony was amazing. Room had everything I needed. The host was really responsive and helpful. The food tasted great and homemade and the meals were worth the price in my opinion. Totally recommend if you want a relaxing place away from the city.

The view on the lake couldn’t be more beautiful, you are literally in front of the lake and could tip your toes in it if you wanted to. The garden is very well maintained with hamacs and benches, it is particularly nice to have breakfast there in the morning or wake up early to admire the sunrise. It is a very peaceful place, ideal to get some good rest. The quality of the service from the staff is exceptional, very kind and attentive people looking to make you have the best possible experience. The food they serve is also nice and varied, a good way to discover Indian food (with the option of asking it served not too spicy).

The location was excellent just beside the lake. Home made excellent food was available. The host. Mr Babu and rajkumar took all efforts to make our stay pleasant. The rooms are very nice and you get a very nice view every morning. You can sit for breakfast and take in the view.

lovely location with a beautiful view. Just a short walk to the shopping centre. Boat trips can be arranged by the host directly from the property.

The bed was a bit too hard and the was basin was located in the bedroom. I would prefer it located in the en-suite.

The homestay offers a nice house next to the lake with an amazing view. Staff was very friendly! They organised a boat trip + taxis for us and we could always reach out to them. Besides Indian breakfast you can also get lunch/dinner here which is homemade and very delicious for a reasonable price. we enjoyed our stay very much.

Be aware that the rooms already count some years. The mattress was super thin and it felt a bit like sleeping on the floor.

The homestay was right by Vembanad lake. The rooms were very clean, comfortable and all had lake-facing views, which meant we could see the sunrise everyday. The home-cooked food provided was excellent, and we ended up eating most of our meals there.The best feature however was the kind and friendly staff, Mr. Babu and his team took very good care of us and were always smiling and available to help.

The location is good & the sunrise view is astonishing. The service quality is appreciable & specifically property's main representative Mr.Babu is so helpful & always available for any kind of assistance. The room size & cleanliness is also good.
