We were not intending to stay in Dieppe as heading for the Dordogne. Sadly we had car trouble and hence booking to stay the night. The car trouble proved worse than we thought and either we had to limp back to the UK or hire a car. Searching for car hire in Dieppe came up with a big NO car hires available. I asked the owner for his help and he was wonderful. Said leave it with me. Next morning we were heading South again, in a hire car. So a huge thank you to the gentleman whose name I sadly did not get, for all his help.

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Bathroom ok. Close to the port if you are walking.

Disappointing. Unfortunately the room and surrounds are not great. Nylon bed cover with burn mark was something that surely shouldn’t be used in a hotel of 3stars and corridors are depressing and outdated. Last decorated approx 30 years ago by the look of grubby carpets and walls. Would never stay here out of choice again. Not good value for money

View from the window on Dieppe Port, town centre in one minute walk, motorcycle parked up on premises. Great location!

The hotel is very central in the heart of the town. Parking for us was free and very near in the main square. We found Les Arcades to be a unexpected gem and well worthy of our stay. A very friendly manager and staff, great food and a most comfortable room and bed where we slept very well. A great end to our road trip.

Possibly in need of minor redecoration in some parts.

The French breakfast was excellent (with maybe a boiled egg would have made it perfect) and the service was efficient and energetic. I liked the 'oldness' and character of the place, enhanced by the wooden panelling and appearance of the restaurant (we'll try the evening meals next time). The location was excellent and everywhere easy to access. We used a taxi from and to the ferry port. We definitely liked the 'huge' market on the Saturday and the late evening market by the quai. It's a romantic place ;-)

We arrived by by ferry late in the evening so it was a perfect location for us. The staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were ideal for our needs.

It would have ben better if breakfast was included

Facilities, such as tea/coffee making equipment and simple, basic snack products should be provided in the bedroom, or at least bottled water. There should be a small refrigerator. Decoration could be more homely, there were no pictures. Bathroom facilities such as soaps, shampoos, shower caps etc. should be provided instead of (no doubt efficient but) rather unfriendly dispensers.

Les Arcades hotel was easy to find and the proprietor’s explained where to park for free as the pay car park behind the hotel was being used for part of the market area the next day. We were late arriving in Dieppe so had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was relaxing and delicious.The bed and pillows were very comfy, no quilt just blankets on our bed but it was not too cold so we slept well.
