You can tell that many happy memories have been made here. Cozy cabin with well stocked kitchen. Lots of personal touches to make you feel at home

We really enjoyed the cottage. The interior has a quaint and cozy feel, with everything needed for a good stay. The windows are expansive, so people can sit on the sofa and gaze at the mountains in the distance. I do have a few points that need improvement: - the host forgot to send the lockbox code but did respond quickly, when asked. I’m also a VRBO host; at my property, I provide guests with a full description of what to expect upon arrival. I approach my property, as if I’ve never been before and spell out the areas that might be confusing for guests, well in advance of their arrivals. - the lighting and electrics are very confusing - the hosts left a decent amount of food in the fridge/freezer, which is already small. We didn’t have much room for the food we brought with us, to the point that we had to throw away some frozen items we’d purchased because the freezer was full. I think vrbo refrigerators should be mostly empty for guests.

Great location just make sure you put the entire address into the sat Nav, our Toyota Nav only suggested one wrong location until I added all text. The cabin is great, watch the hot tub, it is hot and if left gets hotter! The cabin is full of the owners bits and bobs which gives it a great homely feel. Also the secret lagoon is 5 minutes by car.

We enjoyed the location of the cabin - very private, very quiet, and surrounded by trees and open views! The proximity to local attractions made this a great base for exploring the Golden Circle.

End-of-the-road privacy, a hot tub on the porch, and a cozy comfortable homey vibe made our stay at this cabin absolutely delightful. There is a market a few minutes away, and the cabins' proximity to the Golden Circle make it a perfect option for our stay. Im ready to move in!

The house was amazing. Everything we hoped for our vacation time. Picturesque scenery, calm and a house with everything you would need. The self check-in and check-out went smoothly; communication with Elisabet was very easy and informative. Would recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay

We had the opportunity to "stop over" for 3 nights and 4 days in Iceland on our way back to the US from Germany. We selected this property for its proximity to Reykjavik, distance to the southern coast for a day trip there and the surrounding "Golden Circle" destinations. It worked flawlessly for all three goals and provided us a super cozy and beautifully decorated landing spot for the nights and mornings. The geothermal fed hot tub took a moment to figure out (you fill it for each use due to the abundance of hot water) but once we got the hang of it we loved it! Somehow Elisa even managed to summon the Northern Lights for us two of the three nights! Property is at the end of a gravel road with a long driveway so do look at the maps before you go. The location is so private and ideal. Thank you, Elisa!

A lovely place. Two things that could use improvement: - there are very few lights, especially in the living room/kitchen area. It was definitely hard to cook like this, and not possible to read unless one had a back-lit ereader. - the owner communicated very clearly, but the VRBO app made a point of hiding the messages, not including the photo that the owner had sent to help us find the place, or simply declaring that I was not allowed to access the messages. This is not the owner's fault, but I suggest they pass this on to VRBO, or find a different system to use. - all of that being said, it was a lovely place and I would have loved to stay longer.

Everything as described, what a lovely place to be based along the Golden Circle!!

We had a delightful couple of days at Elisa’s house near Fludir. It’s a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area or just relaxing on the deck and looking out over the plains.

Cute, cozy cabin that clearly has a lot of love put into it. Very quiet and peaceful. Elisa is fantastic about communicating, and offered a number of great suggestions (food, site seeing, etc) when requested. Rural area that was a great base for our explorations around Iceland.

A bit further away from Vik than we had hope, but it was such a beautiful place with a wonderful fill-it-yourself hot tub that it was worth it! Plus, right by the Secret Lagoon and spot to grab a morning coffee and "love balls" on route. Thank you. 😊

Only weird part is the location of the electrical outlets. Some are on ceiling so to turn on lights is a bit weird. Would be good if owner provided better and more specific directions to the place. (You basically have to go all the way to the end of the road - not sure why she can't just say that). But overall, WONDERFUL PLACE!!

Das Haus hat einen riesigen Garten und wundervollen Blick.Wir haben die Hot Tub gern genutzt, vor allem abends zur Entspannung.Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war nett und unkompliziert, der Check In auch. Die Küche war gut ausgestattet zum kochen und die Betten gemütlich. Die Sicht aus den großen Glasfenstern war vor allem am Abend richtig toll. Leider konnten wir aufgrund des Wetters die tolle Terrasse nicht wirklich nutzen. Zu empfehlen ist die Bäckerei im Ort. Alles in allem war es ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt hier, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Relaxing well decorated cabin in the countryside close to Gullfoss and Geysir with all the necessary amenities. Elisa, the hostess, was FANTASTIC with suggestions of local restaurants and travel suggestions. She was very responsive.

We had a fantastic time in Iceland and this house was half the reason. The property is located about 2 hours from the airport in a rural area right off the golden circle. We arrived late, but Elissa was patiently waiting to show us around. She had cake, bread and coffee ready for us. The town has a gas station, laundry, pool and restaurants nearby. The owner was extremely accommodating, helping us set up whale watching and recommending activities in the area. The house itself had toys, games and outdoor activities. It rained quite a bit while we were there and we were so appreciative that we had things to do. The hot tub was awesome. This is a clean, warm and bright home to stay in while visiting this gorgeous country.

Das Häuschen ist liebevoll eingerichtet - mit vielen tausend Dingen. Sie liegt ruhig, trotzdem gelangt man schnell zum Großen Geysir / Strokkur (ca. halbe Stunde). Nachdem man sich an den Geruch des Warmwassers (nach Schwefel, wie nahezu überall in dieser Gegend) gewöhnt hat, ist es eine Hütte zum Wohlfühlen. Von hieraus unternahmen wir Ausflüge zum Geysir, nach Thingvellir, zu den Westmänner-Inseln, nach Reykjavik, nach Selfoss (Bobby-Fischer-Museum) und eine Autofahrt an den Rand des Hochlandes. Danke für fünf angenehme Nächte.

Das Häuschen in Fludir war perfekt für Ausflüge im Golden Circle. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es war heimelig und gemütlich. Zur Ankunft gab es selbstgebackenen leckeren Rhabarberkuchen! Auch die Küche war quasi vollausgestattet mit Dingen des täglichen Bedarfs. Und sehr netter Austausch mit der Vermieterin. Jederzeit gerne wieder.
