The breakfast wasn't great. Small portions of coffee, not enough to go around. Poor quality fruit and stale bread (ok when toasted) Same thing 3 days in a row.

Superbe adresse dans le Cerro Alegre. Belle demeure décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Très belle terrasse sur le toit permettant d’admirer Valparaiso. La chambre était très spacieuse. Un grand merci à Pascal pour l’accueil et toutes les recommandations données durant notre séjour.

Pascal was a fantastic host. He gave us excellent recommendations to improve our stay. He was unbelievably helpful finding us reliable transportation to the airport. He worked with us to accommodate our particular needs. Our rooms, the view and our fellow travelers were great. I'd give Val Paradou a million star rating .

Window can’t be closed. And it was winter, around 11 degrees, so in room was chill. Electric heater was not good As well as water. Boiling takes 2 minutes to get comfort temperature.

A splendid address with a beautiful art deco style: 5 stars level both in term of facilities and service. Only 3 rooms to ensure the best experience. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning, the breakfast was great. We will definitely be back.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

I had a large room which was beautifully decorated, as was the whole place. Really gorgeous interior design. The location is pretty good in the old town - and there are lots of restaurants and bars within 5 to ten minutes walk. The rooftop was lovely with spectacular views out to the ocean. Breakfast is a selection of cold things - bread, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt etc. Suited me as I don't always even eat breakfast so something simple works fine in my case.

Bathroom was very small but not a massive issue. Water pressure average. Not bad for me but my friend had to leave as the property has cats (that they do try and keep downstairs out of the way) and she not only highly allergic but asthmatic too so it impacted her breathing. Worth noting just in case you have a similar problem. I was fine and didn't notice any cat hair or anything but then, I'm neither allergic nor asthmatic! The owners very kindly refunded her money and she was able to find a room in a hotel nearby.

Absolutely stunning house. Bedrooms are beautifully decorated and so welcoming and comfortable. Nice hot showers and big windows. The kitchen has everything you could need and the breakfast had plenty of variety where you can sit and soak up the sunshine. The rooftop is magic, the perfect spot to watch the sun set with a wine. Location wise, perfect. Right in the middle of everything, plenty of restaurants and shops within a short walk, as well as museums and the water front. We were provided with maps and helpful local recommendations. We forgot you can only pay cash, so make sure to have it on you if possible (otherwise we went to a couple's of ATMs and a money exchange place in a short walk).

nothing really, everything was wonderful, thank you so much! one watch out for those arriving by car: there is no parking. the free parking is on the streets, but Valparaiso seems like a crazy trafficed town with impossibility to park anywhere.

I loved this hotel. The view on the roof is stunning. Pascal gave me a ton of information on where to visit and eat in Valparaiso. The room was more than serviceable, and breakfast was terrific. Again, I loved this hotel and city!

Pascal was a great host. He was there when we needed help and advice. Good continental breakfast. Great location, many good restaurants. Few minutes walk to the funicular taking you to the main Plaza. The rooftop balcony overlooks the harbor. Great place to chill out with a glass of wine.

There was nothing in particular. It's a renovated period house with character. I would describe it more as a boutique hotel.

We arrived at Val Paradou and we’re worried about parking, and having to park in the hills. However, we we’re able to park just outside the place free pf charge. The place is small and intimate, and the owners are lovely and helpful. The location is in a walking distance to ’everything’, and the view is beautiful. Great value for the money!

The owners were very helpful in helping us with local sites, restaurant recommendations, and how to use the public transportation. Also provided a very nice breakfast.
