Just wow! The rooms were big, clean, stylish with a simply phenomenal view. Maira was an amazing host, and she puts in so many little touches that made our stay incredible. We loved every minute of staying here!

This is a stunning guest house! The facilities on offer are first class. I cannot put into words how much I enjoyed staying here, however brief. Fantastic views over the bay and just a 2 minutes walk into town. Large modern shower room was spotlessly clean. Huge bedroom felt more like a studio apartment than a "room". Breakfast options on offer were superb, especially the cooked to order option available. Hosts made you feel right at home. Coming back up for business so 🤞 I'll be able to book again

Clean, cosy and comfortable. Homely feel with friendly owners who went the extra mile. Good location. Option for dinner is highly recommended.

Parking might be an issue at busy times. It wasn’t a problem for us.

Absolutely stunning hotel with the loveliest staff. The view from the room is surreal 😍 we would most certainly return, I’ve been to many places but this hotel has really got my heart.

The location is perfect- off the noisy streets but just a few short blocks from the main street.

Maddie was an amazing hostess and made our stay at Rockview feel like home away from home. We were able to grab carry away dinner for our family of four and enjoy her beautiful and relaxing dining room in the evening with a bottle of wine. Perfect after a day of hiking about Skye! Breakfast in the morning was wonderful too!

Very warm welcome, cosy room, lovely and creative design and decorations - and so helpful and friendly hosts. They even prepared sandwiches as breakfast to go as we had to leave early in the morning and they helped us with the transfer. Thank you so very much!

Easy walk to downtown Portree. We ate in one night of our stay and the food was excellent. The hosts went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable.

A skylight above the bed needs a blind to blockout the night light during summer!

Breakfast was excellent! Room was nice and spacious, bathroom and bedroom had excellent views and I loved the window seat in the bathroom - used as a shelf for my toiletries.

Only downside (as is all over Portree, I'm sure) was parking, but most of the time, we could get a space across the street.

The view from the front rooms was outstanding. The room was well appointed. The bed was great. Breakfast was great as the hostess made to order! The owners are super hosts!

Parking was down the hill and a walk away. There is not much happening in Portree on Sunday and only one restaurant was not previously booked. I recommend making reservations with the Rockview owners for dinner. I didn't read my emails to book with the owner however the owner said they would have accommodated our late request for dinner.

Rockview is centrally located right in Portree, and faces Portree Harbor. This B&B is phenomenal! It only has 3 guest rooms and I was fortunate enough to book one facing the harbor with a fabulous view. It is cozy and gorgeous with modern bathroom facilities and beautiful decor, including both old and new touches. The breakfast room is elegant and there is a full hot breakfast menu plus the "continental" breakfast bar. The hosts, Mairi and Andrew, are both trained chefs and the food is incredible. They also have started offering dinners and as Portree has a limited number of restaurants this is a godsend! Mairi could not have been more warm and welcoming and staying at Rockview was pure joy.

Absolutely nothing. There is nothing to complain about! If you want a perfect stay in Portree in the coziest B&B with what is practically Michelin starred food (Mairi is actually an award winning chef) book this as soon as possible!

Rockview is a brilliant place to stay. Mairi and her husband Andrew have done a fabulous job. The house is beautifully decorated and it was clean and had everything that was needed. They are also very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend dinner there also, beautiful food and well presented. Thank you very much for having me!

Mairi was so helpful and friendly leading into our stay and during our stay . the location is beautiful looking over the loch and a short walk into town. the room is tastefully decorated and it is great it had a little fridge. The complementary Whisky available for guests is a nice touch. a wholesome breakfast was served at a time convenient for you.

shower is a little small but everything else compensates for this small issue,

En-suite had a plain glass window and the shower was extremely small. there were no glasses in the room, only plastic ones in the bathroom

This bed and breakfast is centrally located in Portree, a couple minutes walk to the local restaurants, the nearby co-op and the Portree harbor. There's some free street parking in front of the building, on a first come first serve basis. We were lucky and able to snatch a spot when we arrived. The rooms were well decorated and stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, snacks and even some cold water in a mini fridge. The hosts greeted us warmly upon arrival and were nice and accommodating, answering all our questions about Portree and offering restaurant recommendations. The views from the breakfast room and the one room we had with a view were amazing. There was also complimentary whiskey in the evening for the guests. The breakfast was delicious. It includes a full Scottish breakfast, where you can select what hot items you want the night before and when you want to eat. There was also cereal, various yogurts, fruit, and some snack bars and cheese. Overall, I highly recommend Rock View as a place to stay when in Portree.

The WiFi connection kept dropping. It was fine for surfing the web, but could be annoying for watching videos. The speed was decent when it was connected though.
