A beautiful place, right next to the St. James Way. A very nice host - he even brought a neighbor who acted as an English translator. Breakfast and dinner in a beautifully decorated dining room. High-quality products, especially for breakfast. In fact, everything is nicer than the pictures.

old historic building looks interresting, BUT....

I could't stay there, because the ancient building was heavil infested by FUNGUS/MOLD. I could immediatle smell the stink and after the few minutes I stayed inside the house, my eyes started to burn because of the high toxic concentration of spores in the air. The wet old stone walls were completely infested. The landlayd - who's shirt was covered with cat's hair - knew of course and offered to drive me 8km to another accomodation I luckily found on booking.com. It was already 17h in the afternoon and I had been walking a lot on this very hot day on the GR65, so I had no other option. When I wrote to her later to thank for the ride and that I expected my money back, she refused! A bit of mold and fungus can often be found in these areas close to rivers and in old houses, but this high concentracion is a health risk.

The buildings are old and graceful and superbly furnished. We stayed in the ivory room which was very comfortable with views of the English style garden. Our hosts went above and beyond to make our stay special; laundry service- superb, delicious food served in a fine dining room, armagnac served in the garden after dinner, crepes and fresh orange juice included in a fabulous breakfast.

Perfect as is.

The welcome to this beautiful old convent by our hosts was very warm. The building and garden are lovely, the rooms spacious and quiet. The old church of Saint-Pierre, located 100 meters from the b&b, is worth a visit, with an exceptional chapel situated up in the tower.

After unsuccessful trials for booking a restaurant (all French restaurants in a place conspire for closing on the same day), our hosts cooked for us a delicious dinner.
