A Haven for Those Seeking Serenity The Swissotel Resort in Almaty is one of the natural retreats that offers all the comforts and relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Located amidst a dense forest of cypress trees and lush green landscapes, the resort is traversed by a small river that flows into an artificial lake within the resort. On the shores of this lake sits one of the hotel’s restaurants, providing a picturesque view of enjoyment and relaxation. The resort features a main restaurant that serves breakfast in a buffet style, offering a wide range of options to suit all tastes. It can be considered the best breakfast experience among most hotels and resorts in Kazakhstan where I have stayed. The main restaurant also occasionally offers lunch and dinner à la carte. However, at times, the restaurant closes and guests are asked to dine at one of the hotel’s other restaurants: one serving Kazakh cuisine, and the other by the lake offering international dishes, both operating on an à la carte basis. Additionally, there is a fourth restaurant with outdoor seating in the pool area, resembling more of a café, providing light meals and some beverages. The hotel staff is exceptionally friendly and professional, speaking fluent English and always striving to assist guests and ensure their comfort. A special thank you to all the staff at this wonderful resort. A heartfelt thanks to the hotel manager, who worked to resolve an issue we encountered at one of the restaurants, she offered us a special discount, and sent us a room service treat. This truly made us happy, so we are very grateful to her.

Although the resort is a paradise for those seeking tranquility and for those who enjoy walking amidst nature, in my opinion, it is not suitable for families with children. This is because there are not many activities or events specifically for kids, apart from some simple sports activities such as biking, scootering, or accompanying the family on walks. Even the kids' club does not have many activities, which might leave children feeling bored. Therefore, I would not recommend this resort for families with children but rather for adults seeking peace, serenity, and the beauty of nature. Additionally, it would be preferable if the resort's main restaurant offered an all-inclusive dining option. This is because guests cannot easily leave the resort to dine in city restaurants, as the resort is somewhat far from the city and there are limited services nearby.

Location is good. Pool nice. Breakfast good!

Mini bar was empty, like it was in Soviet Union!)) It was declared that hotel is no smoking zone, but restaurant offers you even hookah! I was trying to call to the lobby several times, but nobody pick up the phone. It’s seems that the spirit of the Soviet Union’s service stile is still alive!))

Цена сильно завышена с моей точки зрения. Локация красивая, но это почти за городом. Добираться оттуда до города займет время.

Большие пространства отеля. Это позволяет "дышать". Остались дополнительно на еще один день. Хороший завтрак. Спа-комплекс большой и приятный. Ходили пять раз. В номере все есть, включая современный телевизор, холодильник, фен, есть балкон с видом на горы. В номере чисто. Персонал достаточно хороший, но суховатый.

Когда выходили с завтрака, попросили курт. Но сотрудница не смогла его дать, сказала, что все убрали и его на нашла. Это совсем не гибко. Маленький кусочек курта. Не разрешили играть на рояле по запрету главного менеджера, как нам передали сотрудники. А мы умеем играть. В этом отношении нужно гибче продумывать систему запретов, если этот отель создан для клиентов.

Nice location in the countryside. Very clean and top quality facilities. Great for conferences.

Although it’s a nice location it’s a bit far from the centre.
