Best staff you can find in Dar. From outside the Hotel doesn´t look that good, but the rooms (+12th floor with ocean view) are really good.
I´ve been in more than 10 different hotels during my 20 visits of Dar in the last 10 years, this is my hotel for the next 10 to come.
Only thing that should be improved is the breakfast.

We were picked up at the airport exactly as described. The porter escorted us to the 11th floor reception and everyone was very helpful. In fact the porter walked us to the ferry office to get our tickets for the next day. This was early above and beyond customer service. We ate at the restaurant and the food was OK and prices reasonable. Unfortunately the windows were quite dirty, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the view of the harbor. While Dar es Salaam is working hard to improve the city, it has a long way to go. We were hoping to take a walk and that just wasn’t possible without being hassled. The hotel did everything they could to reduce that experience but there is only so much they could do. If I needed to stay in the city center, I would stay there.

A very nice lady at the front desk upgraded my stay to King Executive due to my second visit. It was a fabulous large room with a nice view. Absolutely loved it I will visit again. Strongly recommend!

The room was facing through hundreds of air condition units of next building, and balcony door was not closing. Rooms and furnitute was old. We changed the room. Ac position was direcly on the bed and smelly we had to open it as it was so hot if we did not. Bed was not so comfortable and duvets was so thick for summer. I hardly fall into sleep because of temperature control. Bathtub was so disgusting that I did not take a shower. And lastly: there were 2 baby cockroaches in bathroom. To sum up: do not consider here, till they renew the rooms. It does not have fair price for such rooms.
Yet the restaurant and staff was good.

Amazing view to the harbour. The rooms and facilities are well kept. The receptionist could be faster in processing the check-in.

Exellent hotell close to the ferrie terminal. We walked from the terminal to the hotell, with some help from google maps it was easy.
A litle confusing finding the lobby - its on the 11th floor...
the staff was serviceminded and the food in the restaurant was really good.
We had a night flight and got the possibility to stay with My son at his room during the day and enjyoing the facilities at site (he was staying an additional night).

Very large executive room with beautiful sea view. Staff very helpful. Internet code log in keeps changing but staff were responsive.

The room I was initially given was smelly with dirty towels and linen. So the front desk clerk moved me. That room was also dirty so he moved me yet again to a room this time that had no towels. Then they moved me to the 15th floor, where it seemed to be a different hotel. The room was more modern, clean, and the view was awesome. Judging by all the other guests on my floor it appears management reserves the better rooms for Asians/Indians. I personally would not stay at the facility again.

Excellent room. Very nice swimming pool. The hotel restaurant had a terrific view of the harbour, but the food was a bit mediocre. Good service in the restaurant however. We would stay here again.

Room was clean and spacious. It is very conveniently located, around 200m from the ferry station to Zanzibar.
Only downside was that the AC was a little cold but other than that would recommend staying at Harbour View Suites and would stay again!

Best…Room…Ever (of hotels Ove stayed in past 25 y in Tanzania). Chose the Superior Room when booking, which was a fantastic bargain, even at one of the more expensive hotels in Dar. Also added breakfast, which included omelette made to order and good variety of food. Room was huge, with whirlpool, 2 sinks, fridge, and decent/quiet A/C. On ground floor is a casino (which we avoided) and a decent restaurant with huge variety of food (which we relished). Main drawback was they don’t seem to wash the windows outside often; because Dar is dusty in general, the dirt outside the glass hindered the beautiful view.

As the name says, the hotel has very good harbor views. This is especially so in the restaurant which you should try and have dinner and breakfast.

The hotel was undergoing renovation. They haven’t given the room key also. Every time I have to call the receptionist to assist for opening the door. They have only one master card to open the guest doors.

Harbour View Suites is a pleasant hotel to stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Ingot a bigger room with a beautiful view on the sea. Breakfast is fine; not special but adequate with friendly cook who makes tasty Spanish omelet and staff who prepares good tea. Below, at the back, is a nice restaurant with a good menu with food from different continents. Check in went super fast, but checkout bit less as it too more than 15 minutes to get my invoice due to extremely slow restart of their system; staff remained calm. This needs to be addressed by the owners to buy faster computers. I will for sure come back next time.

Friendly service. The place is a tad old and run down. Breakfast options are limited and it is more of budget hotel type of offering rather than a business hotel.

The room was large and the restaurant food was tasty. The location is good for seeing the main sights in Dar es Saalam. It's also close to the Zanzibar ferry terminal.

The hotel is near the harbour and in a busy side of town. Most places are easily accessible and you get to walk around the town.
It’s on a busy street and no street parking so catching a cab means a short walk to the next block. Wonderful sized rooms and quite comfortable. No robs or house slippers (not good). Breakfast is good with a local flare (very good). I recommend.

Front desk gave me an envelope containing my invoice and change from a cash payment that included no change when opening the envelope while being driven to the airport. After waiting forty mi it’s for drinks from the bar after polite reminders, our gin and tonic actually contained no gin then a cash payment was demanded rather than signing the drinks to a room account. No representation between images of rooms and the actual rooms. Eating here is a food hygiene adventure.
