Fantastic location and views but Very disappointed there was no mattress protector on the bed and the mattress heavily stained we didn’t spot this until the next morning and actually made us feel sick. Also the bathroom door being a sliding door was very heavy and awkward to open and close Both items really need attention

we stayed for 2 nights from 29 June to 1st July , the room was spacious and clean , the bathroom was very nice. but the service was very bad the young ladies totally ignored me when I went for and was trying to tell them my room number they carried on chatting to each other like I was invisible , i just walked away i found this extremely rude . when we booked the room it said that breakfast was included but that was not the case , they demanded we pay £10 extra for hot cooked breakfast which was very misleading . the room was £305 per night which was very expensive but to charge guests extra for “ cooked” is unheard of , I have stayed at different hotels when they say breakfast was included they meant that, cold or hot you get a good breakfast, won’t be staying at that hotel ever , overall service was dismal. at check out they wrongly charged us £20 for the hot breakfast we never had, it was embarrassing to try to convince the girl at the check out desk that we didn’t have cooked breakfast on the particular day in front of our guests and this made us look dishonest . l i am still very upset about it .

Avoid partial sea view room not worth the expense dark and small. Great location breakfast good overall not good value for the high price paid £400 for one night stay !

Fantastic room upgrade to a beautiful sea view that we were very thankful for. Perhaps the most comfy hotel bed I’ve slept in. Superb breakfast and friendly staff all round. Very happy overall and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Perfect location with parking and incredible views. The hotel was impeccable and the staff very helpful and friendly. The continental breakfast had very good options. We will definitely return.

This hotel has stunning views of the sea and beach. The hotel is modern and well laid out. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food expensive but tasty. Continental breakfast was very good with an option for cooked food at an extra price. Swimming pool was very nice and spa area great. Criticisms: No hot water in shower twice. Fridge in wardrobe was very noisy. Room with interconnecting door meant I could hear the people talking from next door.

Absolutely fabulous stay. Every member of staff was well trained, happy to help and friendly. They made the stay what it was. The hotel had excellent facilities. We made use of the spa, gym, bar and restaurant and all were brilliant. But the icing on the cake was the hotel team. Any hotel can have great facilities but if it doesn’t have the right team it can be a pretty poor stay. This wasn’t they are brilliant. Thank you.

Beautiful hotel, great staff, gorgeous setting, spa is amazing and the decor is perfect. Very lucky with weather and were able to sit outside and enjoy the views. One afternoon it rained and the spa facilities were great to enjoy during this time. Only comment is that the restaurant is a little pricy for the type of food and felt the service charge on even two cup of teas is a little extreme

Excellent hotel and staff are lovely evening dinning and breakfast fantastic food and service the room clean lovely and everything you need Brillant sea views the only fault was when In bed you could hear from the next room going toilet which was a shame as that was the only error the place is lovely and would go back

Fantastic stay, upgraded to sea view, beautiful comfortable room. Nothing too much trouble would visit again in a heartbeat, especially in the spring/summer as it is a stunning location.

Idyllic location set right on beach front and our room was perfect with amazing sea view ,Staff were all polite and helpful, the food was stunning! A magical stay from start to finish , thank you can’t wait to come back again !

Hotel and staff were very good, it was a shame the spa swimming pool was very cold and not relaxing at all. No hot water for a shower in the morning and breakfast was poor (slow service, no glasses and all juices dispersers empty). Staff kept apologising saying they were very busy and doing their best. Not what you would expect from a hotel aiming for the high end market. Cannot fault cleanliness or facilities.

Would highly recommend to anyone. Friendly and attentive staff, great room, and just an overall excellent stay.

What an amazing hotel! We had a fabulous stay over the Christmas period. The hotel is beautiful and set in a fantastic location. The little touches in the hotel are really well thought through. The dining experience was excellent and Guillaume and his team were absolutely fantastic - so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is so well run and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. We will certainly be back!

The hotel is in a beautiful location and is a very nice external and internal design.I think it is more of a summer stay location as its a fair walk to Sacombe centre,however it did provide a very good shuttle service.However limited to last pickup around 8-30 pm. The staff where extremely polite and friendly,however it lacked enough of them at weekends.We never had our room cleaned we where there for three days arriving on a friday.And when we arrived at our room there where stains by the wardrobes from spilt coffee and no gin in the complimentary bottle.There where no spa treatments available or staff to do this also.The main bar was lacking seating for the number of residents too,and the restaurant was also lacking any atmospher compared to the main Salcombe Jetty .No doubt it is lovely for the summer months,but i would have stayed at the main hotel if i had a choice for the above reasons.

We were planning to book a long weekend abroad but saw this hotel and thought, wow! It looked stunning so we saved ourselves the hassle of airports and booked it. We were not disappointed. It is extremely stylish and practically on the beach. Staff were all wonderful - polite and helpful. Food was lovely. Free shuttle bus to and from salcombe town. I would definitely like to return.
