Great location, very close to all the old town attractions and only a short, flat walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Christmas markets right outside the door and various others only a few minutes walk away. Lots of shops, cafe and restaurants in the area. As usual, being a Motel One it was clean and modern and good value for money.

Motel One's have a decent standard everywhere and so has this hotel. Modern and clean rooms which are a bit small (but you know that when going to a Motel One). Very friendly staff and the bar which is open 24 hours is definitely a plus. Check out the Gin menu and surprise yourself. Location is very good to explore the city and also not too far from the train station. A bit tricky to reach by car but they do have parking spaces. Just make sure to put the right street in the GPS since entrance to the parking is around the corner in another street. I would book again.

The Motel One Nikolaikirche is a great option in the heart of the Leipzig Old Town center. It's a stylish, modern property without overdoing the "style" factor. Rooms decently sized, especially for a European city hotel, with king or queen beds, and many with balconies overlooking the 900-year-old St. Nicholas church across the street (beware, the bells ring loud!). The city core is exceptionally walkable, and the hotel is located close to the main train station and transport options. An on-site underground garage is available for 10€/24 hours, very reasonable compared to other hotels in the area. Spaces there can be tight and are few in number, so beware. Lots of great dining and shopping options close by, and on weekends the street markets are lively. Best of all, at about 69€ plus a reasonable 10€ for a comprehensive continental-style breakfast spread, it's a great deal. Be sure you get the right Motel One – there's another one nearby on Augustusplatz which has all the same pluses, except no parking.

Location of the hotel is within walking distance to main train station. Ideal for christmas markets, shopping and restaurants. Rooms small but comfortable. Nice big shower. Breakfast is good but can get busy and some people were sitting in reception and bar area to eat as all seats full in the breakfast room. All the staff were very please and helpful.

This was a new hotel brand to me and it was a great find. Lovely room in Leipzig centre. Very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was it was a little bit small - suited to 2 people with hand luggage, not big cases.

There is a nice breakfast buffet that is popular with the clientele--very busy on the weekday morning of our visit. There is no place to put luggage except on the floor inches from the bed. Small area to hang up anything. Narrow shelves next to bed not very useful. This particular hotel is very well-placed in the centre of Leipzig and this is a lovely old German town with lots of beautiful historic buildings. It is also very easy to walk to a wide range of restaurants in Leipzig town centre. The hotel itself has its own car park but it is very small and is often full. However, there are a lot of very reasonably priced public car parks within easy walking distance. All in all, a lovely stay in a beautiful and historic German town.

Conveniently located in the city center, walking distance to everything you don't want to miss when in Leipzig. Despite the fact that Motel One is a budget - chain - hotel they have done a great job to decorate the lobby according to the historic events in 1989. The staff - front desk, housekeeping, bar was extremely welcoming and friendly.

The hotel was conveniently located in the city centre with everything necessary within a short walking distance including parking. The Bar was incredibly well-stocked with an international, comprehensive and informative Gin menu. The simple two-toned decor was very soothing both by day and night and the staff friendly and efficient. I will definitely book to stay here again and recommend it to anyone seeking 4 star comfort at a 3 star price!

Efficiently run hotel in quiet pedestrianised street, yet very convenient for main railway station, historic area and shops. Room adequate but rather on the small side. Main disappointment was the breakfast - a surprisingly limited choice offered in a room which doubles as the reception area.

This hotel has basic rooms that are very clean and well situated. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only thing lacking was an in room safe. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Due to road construction, we could not pull up to the hotel. We parked two blocks away and walked to check-in. Hotel attendant showed us on a map how to access parking deck. Great location for seeing Leipzig. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Hotel has been recently renovated from top to bottom or is new. One caution: there is another Motel One on the other side of Nikolaikirche. On our way back at night, we went into the OTHER one and tried our key in rm 424. Very confusing to have two franchises so close together. Not a big deal. We laughed about it.
