Well located to shopping, restaurants and walkable to all the sights of Porto. Very clean apartment and secure. Washing machine a bonus. The electrics need some attention, flickering lamp when plugged in and power outlet in main bedrooms bit dodgy. Pictures are accurate but the place is very small, smaller than we were expecting. Overall a great place for a few nights

Excellent location, lovely apartment and extremely helpful staff which made our stay lovely.
Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Porto.

Disaster from the outset. Organised a shuttle from the airport. Was told could not meet for check-in but gave instructions. No shutrle was there upon arrival. Manager said that there won't be one that could meet us. We had to cab during the busiest afternoon period and cost more than the shuttle.
Apartment was clean but very dated and many broken things like towel hanger and shower head holder.
Reasonably central to shops and cafes. Main centre seems to be about 700m away.
The manager made the experience forgettable. We tried contacting many times to no avail as the front door broke and we couldn't get out and the other guests were stuck in the bitter cold for over 1 hour. We also had my wife's brother stuck in the room as no responding to us and we pleaded through calls and messages through the whatsapp number but again, no avail.
We had to call the ambulance and fire brigade. They opened the front door to the hotel and then our room to find him passed out on sleeping tablets and mixed with alcohol. We had to take to emergency. The Dr said that this was made worse by the time to get to hospital. He is now recovering back in Lisbon.
The managers response was utterly dismissive and like it was all our fault. I had my sisyer call from Australia and he never picked up so she went back to sleep.

Central extremely clean and modern inside an old traditional building. Booking in staff very helpful and informative. Would recommend highly.

The views were outstanding. It was very clean. Despite our late arrival (plane was diverted to Spain due to bad weather at the airport) we were still booked in upon our arrival, given instructions re the apartment, given recommendations on where to eat, visit and the location of supermarkets etc. We were provided with replacement towels etc. during our week long stay. It was quiet throughout our stay so sleeping was not an issue at all. Overall we would stay again, if we were to return to Porto one day. A very minor point but I would like larger glass tumblers and cups in the kitchen.

The location was great. The apartment was very nice but missing a few basic things that I thought would be provided for I do stay at many airbnb apartments. Items such as salt, pepper, which are basics. Most have coffee sugar left for their guest. I dont understand why they provide a kitchen with all the pots and pans but not these basics. Also, we were 2 friends travelling together and we like to go our own way. Only 1 key provided and when asked if another could be for convenience not having to meet up at a certain time this was not possible. The communication was prompt and airport shuttle was arranged. Great place overall but would be amazing for just these few basic things.

Had a 2 bedroom apt. Located in older part of town near Duoro river. Close, walking distance to all sites. Nice casual restaurants, bakery near the apt. Would stay there again!

Jai résidé 3 nuits dans cet appartement comportant 2 chambres à coucher meublé IKEA. Cuisine complète. Très confortable et propre. Situé à moins de 10 minutes à pied du métro et du Douro. Plusieurs restaurants à moins de 5 minutes. Très bon service et plusieurs informations furent données par Carol. Je recommande fortement.

In a quiet street. Many of the streets in old Porto are airb&b and some guests do not respect the peace of others at any time of the day or night. We were lucky. The Rua das Flores is probably the noisiest street in this area. OK if you dont mind the student lifestyle !

very clean and well stocked and maintained apartment. I stayed at 2 bedroom one, which came with quite big lounge to sit down and relax, one room(master bedroom) was huge but the second quite small but it works.

We loved staying in the apartment. The location was great and it had everything we needed. David and Anthony were very helpful with restaurant suggestions and other info.

Was messaged before arrival to ascertain approximate arrival time (no reception),nice touch .Had a great run through of facility and area on arrival (some great advice which saved money).Our apartment had two bedrooms double bed in one and a single in the other a kitchen area (well equipped) and a sitting area.
Along with a great bathroom.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and was superbly located.
We enjoyed Porto and would go back to both the apartments and Porto

Shining View apartments are in a good location (up a steep hill but that cant be avoided in Porto). Our apartment was fully equipped and well managed.

Clean apartment with a beautiful view of the Douro river. Excellent location too. David gave us tips for food and sightseeing which were very helpful.

Nice and comfortable room. There was a kitchen with all the necessary equipment which was useful if you need to prepare some food for yourself if you feel slightly hungry although we did not do much cooking. All the interesting sites are nearby and word of caution, quite a steep climb in some areas and full of cobblestones. Flat shoes are really recommended. There was a separate room with a sofa so we found it useful that the other person can have his/her own privacy if he or she is unable to sleep. Can watch the TV without disturbing. The hosts left some tidbits in the fridge which we found very useful although we did not touch any of the alcoholic drinks as we don't drink alcohol.

My arrival was delayed due to flight disruption and the hotel team could not have been more helpful and friendly. The apartment was lovely and would make a great base for a longer visit.
