Nice place, rooms are good, transport right at doorstep, plenty to do nearby. Highly recommended.

Dirty somewhere. Preview photo is too clean than real. Breakfast is toast with margarine and jams, and fruits. (and sometimes sausage) I had another guest show me his double room. The room is so thin floor plate with clearance(I can see rower floor lights) and upper floor guest’s footsteps. And more, the windows have very large clearance.(largest is about 5cm) I have left somethings to this hostel. So I try to contact them but the E-mail was blocked by boxbe, and many times of phone call was ignored. May be my left things was became them extra income.

The place is awful ,nothing like the photos and other reviews I read said it would be like.From the windowless, cell, dorm so small and narrow I could barely turn around, the dirty sheets , the freezing aircon that had no controls to regulate it, just made the stay hellish.As for breakfast ,white bread and chemical red jam just don't cut it ,then the filthy cleaning rag laid in the area where the tea and coffee dispencers were simply finished off this hostel of horrors.There is a lot better places around to stay at than this s**t hole

It's good hostel. The light in the bed was broken and hair dryer doesn't work, but it's ok.

The place is in a good location, in the heart of Georgetown. They do have tea and coffee from 8.30 to 10.30 am (and sometimes during the day). They have WiFi. It works most of the time. This review is for their so-called "Superior Queen Ensuite" room - it does not deserve the title. The bed is very uncomfortable. It's clearly old and you can feel every spring in it. The air conditioning - well, it's old too. It can't be controlled by the remote provided so there is no way to change the settings. So, it's either too cold with A/C on or too hot with A/C off. There is a fan above the bed. However, for whatever reason it seemed to stop on it's own sometimes. The windows are held together with pieces of paper and duct tape. The light in the bathroom come in only when the door is completely closed (but you really need to open-close a few times to find the exact position for the light to stay on). It looks shabby. The walls could use some work, the fixtures in the bathroom are old and need to be changed/fixed, the sink moves if you put your hand on it, etc. I will not stay there again.

this hotel is in little india section of the town. i like the location because it is within walking distance from the ferry to langkawi. the hotel is full of old century charms. my room is spacious and comfortable. this is the best value accomodation in georgetown, very convenient for adventurous single travelers who go to langkawi via george town.

One of the single beds was infested with bed bugs. When we complained they came and sprayed some repellent on the correct bed even though we didn't mention which one. Clearly this is an existing issue which they have failed to address. We were then moved to their sister hotel which was infested with mosquitoes.

As this is a backpacker stay inn, the facilities provided actually is superb, ALL time tea and coffee supply, clean bath and toilet room with sufficient of cubi （with sufficient toilet rolls provided), room door is digital, I am staying in room with double bed with clean room, clean bedsheet, for those booking own room it provided 2 towels. Free wifi also. only discredit is the terrible TV reception.

Near the attractions in George Town. The room is not quite clear. Insufficient light.

stay in this hostel for a week. hostel provide a few toilet and shower room. no need to wait for other if they are somebody using The washroom.

Exelent shower,good location,confortable bed,friendly staff.free water refill..little bit noisy wooden floor.

The room we booked was lovely, comfortable beds and clean well maintained just what we need for the long tiring day of traveling and sightseeing.

When I had early check-in, I found hair on my bed, pillow and blanket are wet(is it being changed already?) and it's quite annoying that sound of steps kept coming from upstairs. :(

It was great. Neat and tidy, nothing to complain about. Cheap and nice.

Good location around Georgetown, pleasant stay, 4 bed dorm rooms were abit cramped as there wasn't room for bags. Wifi was hit and miss.

great location,in the center of world heritage site. but the room facility is not as described in the website,there is no LCD tv in the room.

This hotel is located on a busy street so it is noisy. It is important to know that several rooms are equipped with a window. However, these windows are facing the corridor of the hotel, not outside! Our air coinditioning was not properly working, howerver from 31C it managed to cool the 7m2 room down to 28C in 3h. No action from the guest house staffs.

On a very noisy street, difficult to sleep...A lot of black molds in the a/c. Shared showers are old, but seem to be clean. Breakfast included, but if you don't eat noodles in the morning, all you get is white bread toasts with water melon.
