My husband is now in a wheelchair and suffers from Parkinson’s, so our trips to the North Georgia mountains have been few and far between. I finally took the plunge and rented this cabin to get away and get some peace for the two of us just to be together without any outside forces, pulling us here and there. The cabin is perfect for anyone who needs it to be handicap accessible yet it is still a beautiful wooden cabin. Wonderful porch to sit on in the back that’s covered and screened in. Also I covered porch in the front with a wonderful hot tub. I could not think of anything to add that would make this place more perfect for us. We will definitely be returning to “Peace in the woods”!!

This was an amazing trip, we did not want to leave! The cabin was incredibly nice, just perfect for pur needs! We are going back in a couple of months and cannot wait until then!The staff at GA Mountain Rentals were so accommodating and super sweet! I will not use another cabin, each time i return. We loved our vacation! The location is just perfect - close enough to all that Helen and surrounding areas offer. The cabin is clean, the lot is beautiful, the hot tub is fun! I like to cook and BBQ - I brought some of my favorite items since we were there one week. I have already booked another stay!

We were in town for a conference at Unicoi and the cabin was just 5 short minutes away and allowed for us to have our fur child. Beds were comfy, house was very clean, management very helpful. We definitely will use Georgia Mountain Rentals again!

The cabin was great! Clean and plenty of room for the four of us. Helen and Unicoi are literally minutes away. It definitely lives up to its name, Peace in the Woods. Will certainly stay here again next time we're up this way. Especially enjoyed the ease of the fenced in yard for our two pups. That's what sold us on this cabin. Thanks for having us. See you again!

Peace in the Woods is aptly named. It sits at the end of the road, so there is no traffic around. The screened porch is a great place to enjoy coffee in the morning and a toddy in the evening. Our canine companions loved the secure fenced yard. Should we return to Helen, GA, we will again look for Peace in the Woods.

The location was perfect. Our driveway circled the cabin. King beds were comfy. We had firewood delivered and had the best fires in the evening. We saw 2 deer in our yard. We grilled delicious steaks. It was such a cozy 4 days for us. Peace in the Woods is appropriately named. Hope we can stay there next year when we come for the turkey call makers show

We take a vacation every year with our best friends. This cabin was absolutely perfect for the two couples. It was very clean, the hot tub was great, and we absolutely loved it. The kitchen was well stocked, although we did not cook. It has a regular coffee pot and a Keurig. It is a little hard to find so I definitely recommend trying to get there during the daylight. Great communication from the rental agency. If you hear loud noises at night, don’t worry it’s just the acorns hitting the metal roof!My only recommendation was made to the rental company, and that was a new shower head for the smaller bedroom’s bath. Hopefully they will take that into consideration and replace it before the next visitor. Again, they were very receptive to comments. Best communication ever from a rental agency.

We had a great girls weekend with our moms at Peace in the Woods. The location is close for visiting Helen. My mom uses a walker and the cabin was very easy for her to get around. The lower step into the shower and seat in the shower were helpful as well. The kitchen had all we needed to cook a few meals and we appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. Sitting on the screened in back porch surround by trees was so relaxing. The cabin is at the end of a road so we had no other traffic and complete privacy. The office staff were very professional and called the day before to make sure we had received the code to enter the cabin and also called the day after we arrived to make sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

We've been staying with GMR at least once a year for at least the last 6 years! They are great people to deal with.Peace in the Woods is the perfect name!The only negative things was the lighting in the bed rooms and over the kitchen table (very dim).We will definitely return (although we pay bring our own lightbulbs, LOL!)
