No nearer public transport.

The staff were super nice, and genuinely helpful. The hotel manager was very friendly and personable. The bathrooms are really small and the breakfast buffet had plenty of choices. The location is really accessible and close to many places to eat and walk around. I will stay in this property all over again if I go back to Koeln.

Advertised having AC but it was not at all effective

For single travellers for a short stay, the room is quite cozy although quite small. But the lack of a kettle or fridge is a bit troublesome.

I expected more based on previous reviews. The bathroom hand soap was empty. My main issue was the bathroom, the floor still had black footprints from the previous stays. The walls are not so thick, you can kind of hear most of the activity on the floor.

Checked in for 5 rooms with 10 guests. Personnel seemed to be amateurish as checkin lasted at least 45 mins . In this proces they were not nice.

Worst Ibis I've ever been to. Micro bathroom, terrible pillows, the air inside the room is so dry we woke up everyday in the middle of the night to open the window (heating was off). The room is not cozy.

Nice hotel near to U-bahn stop. We walked into the old town from the hotel, which took about 20-30 minutes depending on how quickly you walk. Hotel was clean. Room was a bit small though.

It was an ok stay. The hotel was nice and there wasn't really anything to complain about.

Old building which was notivable in the rooms, could use renovations. Bathroom was extremely small and old. Parking in the hotel, but not suitable for larger vehicles as the garage and parkingslot were narrow. Npt walking distance to the city so metro is required.

Not luxurious but all the necessary facilities. Our granddaughter, a local university student had breakfast with us on two days and the hotel waived the charged. Much appreciated.

The hotel is located very close to Barbarossa Platz Where you Can take the tram. The hotel was clean and in decent condition although a bit small, would not recommend for larger persons. Check-in was decent and the staff was friendly.

Good for a short two night stay. AC in room. Didn't have breakfast so cant rate it. Room small but bed is comfy

Bathroom layout too ingenious to be practical. Comfortable, convenient and very satisfactory in all other respects.

Brilliant location, not too central so very little noise, apart from the last night where the hotel had guests that were very noisy, but no fault of the hotel itself.

Hotel in good location, rooms clean and functional. Only problem we had was when we wanted to use the printer for our flight boarding passes and a previous guest had frozen the software, stopping us from printing directly from the guest computers. I went to the staff at reception and he just gave a look of defence and shrugged his shoulders at me. I then explained the problem further and he gave us the option of emailing him the documents which he could print off, which he then did. Although he provided a solution, the attitude I felt could have been less indignant.

I did not like not having a small refrigerator in the room. The room was much smaller than I expected.

I didn't get much sleep on my first night. There was rattling noises throughout the night. I should have complained but was rushed for time. The breakfast and decent shower (bathroom was a bit small though) was good enough to make me stay another night.

I love this hotel. Very clean and friendly staffs. Just that they don’t have electric kettle in the room and i have to disturb their working staffs for a glass of hot water. Eventhough, they are willing and happy to give us but I don’t feel comfortable to keep asking for it 3-5 times in a day

Clean, comfortable accommodations met our expectations given the pricing. Rooms are equipped with the necessities. Hotel is in a good location minutes away from public transit - though not really within walking distance to the Dom or main tourist attractions, being slightly outside the hubbub was a nice change of pace. Steps away from supermarket and some food options.

I am not going to write a lengthy description of the room, if you are staying in an Ibis then you are probably familiar with the standard (they are all similar in respect of appearance and facilities), but if you are looking for a clean comfortable reasonably priced short stay hotel they are fit for purpose. Although I did find other hotels (including Ibis) nearer the centre, it has to be said this hotel is in a good easy to find, quieter location. Its a few stops on the subway from Cologne main station, as the subway rises to street level the hotel can be seen on the right just before the nearby stop. As a result of this its easy to get from/to the airport, and the main attractions (most of which are close to the main station) by public transport, which is reasonable in price and frequent (never waited more than a few minutes). I also found this hotel to be a good base for exploring other nearby cites, as well as cologne.If like me you want some facilities nearby, its possible to find supermarkets that are open fairly late, places to eat and Bank ATMs a short walk from the hotel.I would like to give the staff at this hotel a special mention as I found them to be helpful friendly and informative, and a massive thank you to Gordon who went out of his way to try and help me obtain football tickets, one of the other members of staff later told me he is the director of the hotel.

The reception was fresh and modern. Staff were polite and efficient.The room was small but fine if like me you will be out most of the day. The room and bed was clean and comfortable. Location is great, tram stop nearby.
