There are only 2 “chain” hotels in this rural area, and the Best Western Plus was fine for us.

My room was booked on the second floor and at the end of the hall. When the front desk person saw me struggling to walk while having a broken toe, he immediately suggested a move to the first floor and close to the main doors. This was unexpected and very much appreciated. The stay was very pleasant.

We enjoyed staying at this location. Room was clean, staff provided new towels & tidied up our room while out for the day. Breakfast was very nice with lots of options (coffee was delicious-and Im a little bit of a coffee-brat). Thanks for the cable-movie channels!

Pleasant staff and doable for one night. The pool was closed for the season which was disappointing for our son. Other hotels still had their outdoor pools open for Labor Day weekend, especially since we are still in August. There was no indication of this when we booked. The room had a faint odor that was slightly musty. Not terrible, but not pleasant either. The bathroom door handle was broken, but at least the door closed fully. The breakfast was good. I'm not a very lucky person but i probably would not stay here again.

There was work being done at the entrance and we were asked to use the side door, which was not a problem. There was pressure washing at the side door. Should of kept one entrance clear for arriving guests

The staff was very pleasant. The room was clean and large. The breakfast area was very clean and there was a great breakfast's selection.
The hotel is going through a remodeling, so be prepared to walk under scaffolding at the entrance.

The room was very clean and quiet. However, the lobby and exterior of the facility could use some updating.

Room was clean & comfortable. A little dated as the ceilings and walls had cracks & patches. Amenities were adequate. Breakfast was good with lots of cold or hot options. Coffee was fresh brewed. My only complaint was the temperature of the room. Seems like it was set at 68 degrees without the ability to adjust to make it warmer. Call to the front desk to request a different room which was taken care of quickly. The heater in that room was a chilly 64 degrees which also didn’t allow for adjustment. Even changing it from power-save to heat did not resolve the issue. It was a cold, long nights sleep. Will definitely not stay here again. Disappointed that the front desk clerk didn’t have the means to resolve the issue, a maintenance person wasn’t on the property, or given a room with an adjustable heater that went above 68 degrees.

Only thing was king size bed wasn’t to comfortable. Everything else outstanding. I’ll try the queen size bed next time.

Bambi at the front desk was excellent! Very friendly and gave us a lot of information about the area. Breakfast was great with hot options along with muffins and cereals. Only draw backs were noisy guests above us who got up a lot during the night and the room was very warm we had to turn on the air which was very loud when it would turn on and off. Otherwise we would definitely stay there again just maybe request a top floor room.

We stayed at Best Western in St Marys, Pa on Oct 30, 2023. When we got to the room we noticed the ceiling light was going bright and dim. The direct tv did t work. To top it off the toilet was not even attached to the floor. My sister almost fell off. We did get another room, and that toilet was also not attached to the floor. I dont know how it wasnt leaking. Also, the fridge was very loud which made it hard to sleep.It also smelled like cigarettes even though it was smoke free.We dealt with it at this point because after being at the hospital for a family emergency for 24 hours, we just wanted to sleep. I dont recomend this hotel and feel some kind of refund is due to me.

The staff was excellent and super helpful. Beds were comfy but a little squeaky. Everything was clean and the hotel actually smelled really good. Free breakfast was nice, the coffee machine thing was not good but everything else was wonderful. The waffle iron-on point :)

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in and out was quick and painless.
The smoke detecteor was hanginging from the ceiling by one screw. The toilet was a very old style and very low to the floor. These are sometimes difficult for the elderly.. There seemed to be missing furniture (there was only one chair other than the desk chair.) Lastly, the door rubbed on the floor so hard it wouldn't close on the automatic closer and the lock on the door was extremely difficult to use.

They did not have our reservation and we had to scramble to get a room for 2nites at the cobblestone. Our bill was $700. Expedia should pay the amount over the best Western reservation since they failed to submit the reservation.
