This hotel I think is overrated. The room fixture was a bit dated. The shower room was very small. Some of the tiles was broke. The shower gel is bottle is too small. Is very difficult to pour out the conditioner. They should consider change to brand or do something.
Good thing about this hotel is Hotel is located at a very good location. The breakfast was very good. Staff is good (especially Lorena at the check out desk). I wrote a check in bad experience and they immediate response and sent me a bottle of wine for apology. Very responsive.

Receptionist forgot to pass down our room number to the bellhop. The room phone was also not working, so after waiting for an hour, I had to go down to look for our luggage.
2nd day morning, I found my phone was not charged because the outlet was not working (hence the room phone). The staff were helpful and fixed the issue quickly. But two incidents in a row are not what I expected from a kempinski.

Steps from the historic Brandenburg gate, the Adlon hotel has impeccable service. The rooms are spacious and clean, but do need a bit of updating. The Brasserie offers a great place to grab a bite, people watch or enjoy a nice cold drink. Will definitely come back here.

The History behind the property

This is an historic hotel, the first to bring real glamour to East Berlin after the wall fell. It remains a glorious place to stay, with a superb staff.

The room was nice with plenty of plugs. The staff was friendly and offered options for watching the football match.
The shower was small without a door so it was difficult to use. The AC was set at 17.5 but the room was very warm so we had to sleep without covers at night. There is a lot of construction in the area so it was also noisy.

I booked a junior suite for 4 days.They gave me a suite which was like a sauna with NO A/C and very loud.I had to negotiate to move to another room.Most of staff was NOT well trained.Unacceptable way of handling my problem.

Absolutely the best!! From the moment you arrive until you check out, everything is perfect. Breakfast is the best breakfast we’ve ever had anywhere. Bed is so comfortable. Very elegant architecture with a touch of class. It warrants a 10 star.

The Adlon always does a great job, the staff are sincere, warm and attentive . The property location is the best in town and has wonderful views of the gate , perfect for people watching. This was not our first time staying and we will be back.

Had a very enjoyable stay. Unfortunately the air conditioning was inadequate due to what we suspected to be a faulty control panel. Two nights of three were uncomfortable to sleep in. We brought it to the attention of the management on the first night and were given verbal instructions as how to set it. We assumed it would come on later in the evening. It didn’t. Night two we tried again. Unfortunately this was also unsuccessful. Again we approached management who said they would have the matter addressed. And it was. The temperature on night three allowed us to sleep comfortably in a temperature that suited us.

The location is truly amazing being right next door to the Brandenburg gate. We had heard that this was a superb hotel to stay in and it was.

We stayed for a night, the hotel is exceptional from check in to the service and the breakfast. The attention to detail and staff is outstanding.

The property seems very safe and welcoming . On my arrival while being shown the room there was a roach in the room and the front desk person whom showed me the room was very kind but did not offer a different room . The whole time I was there I loved it with a grain of salt to say the least .

Outstanding Hotel with best in class Service. I have never seen anything close to this Level, you truly get what you pay for.
Even days after my visit I‘m still very much impressed by this unforgettable experience. I will for sure come back to the Adlon!

Our suite had heating issues. We called twice and went to the reception. The staff said that it was handled but when we came back from dinner, the room was still very cold. Very unpleasant! It's a pity because it was a beautiful room.
