Great location wonderful staff .loved it!

When I booked this property, it was classified as a 4star hotel. This place is less than 3. The pictures in the website with the terraces are very deceiving. There’s only one in the top bar. This Place is extremely loud and I was not able to sleep. The reception area is smaller than my living room and guests’ rooms are right off this area (lack of privacy when entering/ leaving the room). They state on the website that they have laundry facilities. They do NOT. They have a laundry service which charges per piece. They should clarify that in the website. Laundry service is very different than laundry “facility.” We had prepaid over $300 per night for two days; however, the place was so disappointing that we decided to leave after only one night, forgoing the $300 for the second night and leaving town early to find a true 4star hotel. I would never stay in this place again.

Very nice hotel-clean, close to train station (walked it both ways), would stay here again. Only issue, which is part of the hotel design, is that the area of the bathroom is not walled off-instead, there are sliding doors that are covered in a heavy paper, which does not make them soundproof. Too easy to hear what is going on in the bathroom if there are two people in the room. But I would still return to this hotel.

The hotel was very nice. Accessible to Old Basel, the room was clean and the staff was more than helpful, they were, in a word, delightful. The only drawback (which is not their fault) was that there is no air conditioning, due to regulations for new buildings in the city built after 2021. It was quite hot the first night we were there, so a bit uncomfortable. We were given a fan for the second night which made all the difference. You have to ask for one, they don't automatically make one available. Overall, though, I would give this hotel very high marks.

Great location. Near restaurants, bars, and shopping. Excellent walking location to the Rhine and other notable sites.

I loved the spacious super dark and quiet room in the middle of the action. Breakfast on the rooftop was my highlight - it is beautiful and delicious. Gerne wieder !

Great hotel! Location is surrounded by good food options. Close to tram stops. The only negative is the open plan bathroom (Club Suite) which is shared by all the occupants of the suite ( up to 4 people). The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Exceeded my expectations!

The rooms are so cute & the staff are beyond helpful with where to go what to see where to eat etc etc etc. Such a cute hotel and right in the center of town so it is so easy to get around and go site seeing! it was perfect

Absolutely loved this hotel. The bed was so comfortable. The master light switch by the bed was great. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Plus it is in easy walking distance from the train station.

The hotel was very creatively designed and decorated. A lot of attention was paid to artistic detail. The location is very convenient but the area is also a center for club activity so the music and yelling by club patrons goes on until after 3 AM on weekends. Earplugs are definitely needed to get a good night's rest on these nights.

Friendliest staff, great amenities and very cool rooftop bar. This boutique hotel is quiet despite being on a busy street, well located to good restaurants, bars, the river.

We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel & room. Our check in was very smooth and we loved the small coffee breakout area where we could wait while they sorted out an upgrade of our room. The team kindly offered us an upgrade to a ‘quieter’ room given we were staying over the busy weekend nights. The hotel is situated in a street that gets packed late at night with lots of yelling and music so if that’s something that would annoy you, then this isn’t the spot for you. We appreciated the soundproof doors & aircon though as it really helped when it got loud (even in our ‘quieter’ room it was still busy/loud outside). But the room itself makes up for the loud exterior, it’s a calm haven of soft and neutral tones with a Japandi aesthetic. We first thought the bed would be uncomfortable as it a quite a thin mattress slat style bed but it was surprisingly comfortable once lying on it and it turned out to be one of my favourite beds from our whole trip (4 hotels). I loved that there was a bluetooth sound system in the room - it’s something I wish more hotels have as being able to play your own music totally transforms a space. The service was really friendly and helpful - we had a friend visiting from Zurich one evening for dinner and she forgot her USB charger and the reception team kindly offered to charge her device while we were at dinner. I loved the proximity to the ‘old town’ and the water, as Basel is so small you can walk it all. I would stay here again

Good hotel in the heart of the city

This is a new style hotel, with a serious reference to ryokans in Japan. Loved that. The shower was on a smaller size, especially given the category of the room. Amazing sheets of highest quality. The hotel is located on a very busy pedestrian street so opening windows was not an option. The hotel sent me an advance notice about that. With closed windows the room is super quiet. Overall location is great - close to everything and lots of great bars and restaurants just a stonethrow away. Breakfast was not opulent, but the staff at the bar was excellent. Same can be said about the reception. Overall impression - great place, with adequate money for value ratio.

We stayed one night passing through Basel. The location is great with lots of restaurants around, the front desk staff are the nicest ever and so helpful and the room was clean, comfy, very modern and perfect for our needs. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel should note in huge bold signs the following: it is located on a pedestrian street so you will NOT be able to pull up with your luggage; and it's located just above several bars so it will be VERY LOUD at night. If you are traveling with children, I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere as they will not be able to sleep with the noise, and you'll have to deal with how to get your luggage and children to the hotel in the first place. We are a family of four people with two young children (aged 4) who traveled from Zurich. Getting to the hotel with our luggage and children in tow was the first challenge. Second challenge was the partying downstairs that made it impossible for our kids to sleep, even though we were on the top floor. Third challenge was that there are no sofas/seating areas, even in their biggest suite, so our kids had to sit on the floor to play or color. (There is one desk chair only). Fourth challenge was that our room was not quite clean - we found random hairs and dustballs in the bathroom and shower, and the floor was dusty, which was extra annoying since our kids had no choice but to sit on the floors to play since there are no sofas/seating. Overall, would say this is a place for adults only, no families or kids. Also, for the price they were charging (over $600/night), the lack of amenities (breakfast wasn't even included) was pretty atrocious when every other hotel in town will offer breakfast with the rate for half the price.

Great stay and would definitely return. Very central location, within 10 mins walk of the station and close to lots of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d also recommend the cocktails at the bar and the Sicilian pop up restaurant, very delicious.
