Very enjoyable quiz in the bar the night we checked in, room was gorgeous, everything we could need was provided. Staff were very helpful and friendly, fabulous breakfast options next morning and the staff offered to hold our luggage after check out. If I am back in Manchester I will definitely stay here again 😁

Very modern room, bed so comfy and shower one of the best. The pub itself was welcoming and its staff lovely and friendly. Breakfast was really good and so laid back. The location was spot on, a 5-ish minute walk from Deansgate, lots of car parks close by with Salford Central train station no more than ten minutes away by foot.

Schöne und moderne Zimmer, bequeme Betten, leckeres Frühstück und top Lage. Für junge Leute super geeignet.

Die Zimmer waren etwas hellhörig und das Hotel liegt an einer gut befahrenen Straße, wer hier empfindlich ist, könnte Probleme bekommen.

It was clean

The staf is very disappointing, they really don’t care about you, we arrived on Monday at 12 and they didn’t accommodate us even if the hotel was quite empty. The food is a joke, we made the mistake to eat dinner here; the burger was so simple, without cheese even if I ordered it, without tomato because they run out (at the breakfast was the same, no grilled tomatoes. I am sure that we could found better hotel around the area.

The room was gorgeous so was the bathroom and it was in a good area about 5 minute walk from all the shops

Staff was really helpful and friendly! A lovely lady offered to carry our luggage up the stairs, the guy at check-in went through the brief in detail and even offered to change our room to a bigger one. The room was exactly like the pictures and spacious too. Location is very central, staff is great, and property is worth the value for money. Thank you!

Found a few hair strands on the bedding and the hot water went off for some hours in the early morning when we were trying to rush somewhere, otherwise, it was a great stay!

Fantastische Kombination aus originalem English Pub und sehr guter Schlafmöglichkeit. Wunderbares Personal, exzellente Lage und sehr freundliches Personal! Frühstück geschmacklich 1A!(bis auf den Kaffee!)

Leider nur Instant-Kaffee und kein Filterkaffee! Frühstück leider ohne Nachschlag und nicht als Büffet. Aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau...

The staff were friendly and the room was clean.

There was a lot of road noise. Breakfast didn’t start until 8:00 which is really late on a workday; too late to mean we could have breakfast.

The young lady at the bar that checked us in was fantastic although I didn't get her name, the young, blonde girl was polite and friendly and very helpful. It is the little things that go a long way.

The fire alarm went off at 7:30am with no explanation as to why so we was outside for a good 15-20 minutes but not anybodies fault.

The Black Lion's location was perfect for our short stay in Manchester/Salford. We found the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The room was clean and spacious, while the bed was very comfortable.

I had asked for a quiet room, but our room was at the front, so we heard road noise. Also the bathroom light was motion sensored, which meant that it went on in the middle of the night.

The room was incredibly comfortable. Shower was great. Breakfast was unexpectedly lovely. Good for a short stay in MCR.

Walking in was not the most welcoming. 2 staff members were smoking at the entrance to the pub, so initially I thought I was in the wrong place, or that the rooms had a separate entrance and reception. However the man at the bar who checked me in was welcoming. Could do with a safe in the room.

The room was modern and clean. All the staff was very helpful and polite. Breakfast was good and well cooked. Although our room was above a noisy fan, it went off around 11pm, so we slept well. The heating system worked properly, the room was very comfy, and I liked the bed very much. Thank you, Diane!

Loved that breakfast was on till 11an so there was no rush in the morning after a night of drinking!
