Struttura nuova, pulita, stanza veramente bella.
Vista dal terrazzino dell’hotel stupenda.

Amazing, beautiful hotel, situated in a lovely restructured palace, with a fantastic position for visiting Sassi by foot. Public parking is also super close. Our special compliments go the decorative solutions inside the palace and the fantastic hotel perfume. The front staff was beyond helpful and gave us great recommendations for restaurants and itineraries. The service in general was impeccable. The room was very comfortable, the bed and linens were great, the bathroom- comfortably sized, with small toiletries and slippers provided. We’ve also had a nice breakfast. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone and definitely hope to come back!
The only thing I can think of is the layer of dust on the black tile shelf in the bathroom and the fact that after unlocking the door, you had to literally force it with the shoulder because the door wouldn’t open easily.

L’accueil était parfait : chaleureux, attentif et discret. Nous avons été bien conseillés pour les visites et les restaurants alentours. Nous avons été surclassés, car les seuls clients en cette période de l’année. Notre chambre (101) était spacieuse, lumineuse (mais trop de petites lumières veilleuses la nuit), calme et la vue magnifique. La décoration globale de l’hôtel est cohérente, originale et très réussie.
nous aurions aimé des confitures artisanales, du miel du pays au petit-déjeuner. Plus de produits locaux.

Bei unserer Ankunft hat die Dame an der Rezeption uns sehr viele nützliche Informationen über Matera gegeben. Das ganze Team (von der Rezeption zum Zimmerpersonal) war zuvorkommend, freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Fliesen im Badezimmer (Boden und Wände) sind einzigartig und stilvoll farbig. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet. Das Bett ist sehr bequem. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Herrschaftshaus. Es wurde ein Lift eingebaut, damit das Gepäck nicht die Treppe heraufgetragen werden muss.
Von der Hotelterrasse hat man den Blick auf die Sassi.

New hotel opened end December 2022 with excellent quality finishing, great location and very friendly and helpful staff. The view from the room and the breakfast terrasse is stunning, we highly recommend it. Possibility to come with the car to drop luggage which is a big plus in Matera.

I stayed in 5 **** hotels in Puglia the last 8 days and Lo Stemma is the best one I stayed in, it is finished to a very high standard and it still has that smell of a new hotel.All the staff were very helpful and polite, there is not one negative thing I can say about it, I will definitely use it again and highly recommend it 💯

Firstly, the staff were delightful! My friends and I fell in love with Guiseppe & Rocco. They were so warm and helpful. We immediately felt right at home. Love that it is a small hotel - very calming amongst the hustle & bustle. Brilliant location. Drinks off the balcony with a view to die for. Rooms beautifully decorated with quality fabrics and the bathroom a treat with the best water pressure.
Matera was experiencing a summer like no other so I Recommend you request for the plastic-coated mattress protector that most hotels have these days, be removed. Made a huge difference.

Need to improve the breakfast options. The meat and cheese wasn’t very fresh.
Staff however was very nice in setting a place for me to eat on the balcony to enjoy the view.

Beautiful property in a perfect location. Absolutely delightful stay and cannot recommend this place enough. Only opened recently and it creates a 9 room (I think) boutique lodging experience in the middle of the upper part of the very beautiful old town. Fantastic views of the ancient old town lit up at night. Wonderful!!

This was a last minute reservation. We were so happy to find such a high quality room as such a lovely hotel at that last minute for the price that we did. It was lovely. Nice breakfast in the morning. The room and bathroom were very large. Great view from the room as well. The refrigerator was well stocked. All great things for an impulsive getaway.
The room was a little warm.
