Great view of Lake Como and nice neighborhood. Good information from the host on the property and surrounding area. We were disappointed to find that we had to share the pool with another property. I don't feel this was clear in the property description. One thing I feel I must comment on: the host berated me for not communicating through "What's App," which I do not have. I feel that, since I booked through VRBO, I should be able to communicate through VRBO. I tried to call the host a couple of times, and he did not answer my calls, but rather told me I should communicate through an App that I did not have. If this is a requirement, it should be communicated as such. We did have an issue with losing power at the property, but the host did respond quickly to that.

Michele is a great host and was super helpful with recommendations on restaurants and activities. We felt as though we really got to experience the beauty of Lake Como from his beautiful villa. Thank you again - we loved it!

We really enjoyed staying at this location. A bit of a drive from the small towns with ferries, but it was a lovely property with awesome pool and view! The check in was very easy and it was well equipped! There was a lot of information for things to do. Especially loved the little market that we walked to every day for fruit, cheese, bread and more. Also, a lovely little hotel/restaurant called Concha Azurra (I think) that we could walk to around the corner and the food was delicious and service great! would love to return to Olgiasca!

We loved our stay! The house suited our needs for our 2 night stay in Lake Como and we loved the proximity to a lovely hike over the peninsula and away from the "touristy" spots of Lake Como. A couple notes... the pool view is not the view from the house and there is actually a house in most of the view of the house with only a side view of the lake out of the main window so that was a disappointment and honestly a bit deceiving based on the pictures. There were no toiletries (soap/shampoo) provided and NO top sheets on beds... So you should bring your own if those are important to you!

We stayed here in early April - 6 adults, the Villa is amazing as are the views and Michelle the owner cannot do enough for you, he even has some home made wine in the cellar for 5 euros which would give most £30 bottles a run for its money. The location is slightly rural, and you will require a car to explore, however most major places around the lake are no more than 1 hours drive, with most being much closer, great for scenic walks. I cannot recommend this place enough, we will return some day. Truly amazing and highly recommended.

Our family loved this property and would love to stay again. The property is well appointed and allows plenty of room for everyone to relax and soak up the beautiful views. We enjoyed using the kitchen which had everything we needed. The host was helpful and easy to work with. Now we need to come back so we can enjoy the pool in season!

A wonderful stay and exceptional hospitality.
Michele's villa is a jewel with a splendid view of Lake Como.
The location of the pool area offers one of the most beautiful views in the world, it is unique.
The villa is perfectly furnished and equipped and is really huge. Cleanliness is another thing that left us really happy. It felt like living in a new house.
Thanks to Michele who was able to help us with everything. We recommend it with a score of 10 with honors

Thank you so much for having us! The views are absolutely breathtaking! Michele went above and beyond to make sure we not only had an amazing stay but had all the information needed to ensure we could make the most of our time on Lake Como! Michele was beyond helpful leading up to our trip as well. He gave us great recommendations and insight to the area that helped us plan out the vacation of a lifetime and we are extremely grateful! It is a perfect spot! Thank you for your hospitality!

The property was immaculate and couldn’t ask for much better. It was a bit far from what we wanted to visit but a beautiful quiet spot for sure with amazing views! Would definitely rent again!

Accomodations very well conserved! All perfect. Kitchen very equiped with all necessary items to prepare your own meals. Several items to your leisure like tennis table, soccer table, books, tourists infromations...also, good place to make a delicious barbecue...nice vision of the lake and nice swimming pool shared with others houses. Congrats!! We will come back asap...

The drive up to the villa was heart-stopping because of the crazy winding roads, but so much fun. Once inside, we were speechless from the view. The house is very modern and clean. And did I mention the views? WOW!!!.
Now for the rest...
The shower floors are super slippery and there is no place to put your soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Also, keep in mind that the owner does not provide these items for the showers; only hand soap at all sinks is provided.
Next, there are no grocery stores within walking distance. So, if you want anything at all to eat or drink in the house (other than the delicious wine provided for a very reasonable fee), you will need to drive there.
That being said, we absolutely loved it and would absolutely go back.
Thank you Michele!

The check-in was confusing as the host provided the wrong address and video check-in for my family member who arrived earlier than me. My family member was shocked when someone else was trying to get in the house while she was there with the children. She called the host numerous times and he didn’t answer until later when my family member went outside and was looking for help from neighbors. Later, they move us to the correct location and apologize. The house was nice but the presence of different bugs everywhere scared my children. The host stated that bugs in the house next to a lake were something normal. I live in a house next to a lake in Florida and never had bugs in my bed or kitchen. Another issue was the electricity was going off in the house when neighbors had lights.
Before check out we cleaned and swept the house and made up beds and also picked up garbage. The garbage bins were very small and no instructions on where to put extra garbage. All additional garbage we separated into plastic bags next to those bins. We also washed all the dishes and put back the dry ones. After we left the property the host sent us a bill for not correctly sorting the garbage and he also mentioned that he should charge us even more for extra cleaning because he found a French fry on the floor. Besides, stay fees and service fees, we also paid cleaning fees which were a decent amount at the time of reservation that must cover cleaning. In my opinion, not a friendly or honest host.

We went to Como area during my son's school spring break and stayed in Villa Michelangelo for a week. It was fantastic. The location was perfect -- with a car we can leisurely drive to Varenna to hop on the ferry boat to sightsee nearby towns, Menaggio, Bellagio, Belano, Como, Lugano, and many more. Michele's villa has a killer view and so refreshing to be able to see the lake, the mountain, the snow cap, and sunrise and sunset all at the same time. Perfect for a relaxed get-away. Michele was a great host, responsive and the lazange his mom prepared for us was the best! We will come back here again! Charlene

Stayed here on a short stay, this villa has great views of Lake Como on a more quiet part of the lake. It is LARGE--it was overkill for just me and my wife but would be excellent for larger groups. It is gated and very secure. It has stunning views of Lake Como and is only about a 20 minute drive to Varenna where you can catch a ferry to Bellagio or other parts of the lake. You definitely need a vehicle but this place is well situated.
Sadly the pool was closed as it was March when we visited but the (shared) pool looks like it would be incredible to be in with its well situated views overlooking Lago Di Camo.
Check in and check out process was very easy and done without interaction. Everything is well furnished and even includes outdoor foosball and ping pong tables.
Recommend this place--especially during warmer times when the pool can be used!

We decided to stay for few days at villa Michelangelo in Olgiasca before a meeting in Bellagio, The villa is impeccable in location and is in short distance by car to Colico, Bellano and Varena where there are outstanding restaurants. In season there are also few local restaurants where the Como "lake" and other cuisine is available. The living/dining room has panoramic view of the lake. The villa itself has pale for several people with 4 bonafide bedrooms and a lot of space for a large family, the kitchen is excellent so one can always cook at home if needed. Michel and his mother were such accomodating hosts, always available. We were there with our four legged family member who was welcome. There are attractions in walkable distance like the Abbiaza di Piona that is open every day. We would highly recommend Villa Michel Angelo. Thanks you Michel and family

We had a wonderful time staying in this home on Lake Como. The small village had 2 wonderful restaurants and the host provided homemade lasagne and salad on our first night. We had fantastic adventures each day exploring the towns around Lake Como. We loved our time there!

We have had a fantastic family stay here at Ville Michelangelo. Modern and very well equipped house. Brilliant views and the swimming pool was perfect.
Beautiful private garden with table tennis, table football and a barbecue.
We used local transport lake ferry was a 15 minute walk and the bus to Colico was a three minute walk from the villa.
Our host Michele was very helpful and made us all feel very welcome.
We definitely recommend Ville Michelangelo 5*.

Views from the villa and pool were fantastic! Everything was great in the villa and host was very helpful. The only negative was the pool is shared with another two apartments and the hosts family/friends but there is enough room for everyone!

We stayed at Villa Michelangelo for 20 days and had the most amazing time. The property is gorgeous and in a great location, but a little bit off the beaten path which is exactly what we wanted. The views from the Villa are amazing, the place is recently renovated in a very contemporary way and perfectly appointed with plenty of room for 10 or more people. We loved walking down the cobblestone road to the Abby di Piona and getting a cappuccino or dining at the hotel/restaurant that only steps away. It is easy driving distance to Varenna to catch the ferry to go to Bellagio and Menaggio and Como. And one of the real highlights are the dinners that are prepared by our hosts mother, amazing lasagna, Spaghetti carbonara and other options. We would return to stay here in a minute. I hope whoever is reading this enjoys it.

The service was great, everything was clearly explained. Sepersting waste, a map on how to get to the beach, all the information about nearby activities you need. Also very flexible and nice people. The only minor thing we have to note is the fact that the pool is not directly attached to the villa and shared, which is not to clear in the pictures. However we noticed that beforehand so it was definitely not an issue on our side. Just something to clear up a little. We were very happy with our stay! And recommend this place to anyone looking to stay at lake Como.

It was a lovely house with beautiful view of the lake, however we felt misled as to the private swimming pool. The pool is not private to the house and is shared by other properties. We felt this was not made clear enough in the property details.

Of my 17 days in Italy this was the most peaceful and beautiful place that I found. It was a perfect place to look back on the weeks we were in Italy and thank God for all that I have and all that I have seen

We were a group of 6 adults and we had a fabulous stay in the Villa, helped by fantastic weather. The views all round were amazing and we visited many towns on the lake which were all stunning. The restaurant in the hotel nearby was lovely and we ate there 3 times. It was nice to be able to walk there and not drive in the evening.Michele was very helpful and friendly and always available on the phone. The villa is stunning and there was plenty of room for all of us. As we were a group of 6 we could all sit together in the upstairs lounge, and we loved the outdoor seating area too. We would love to stay again.

7 of us stayed here in September 2017 in Week 2 of an Italy and Adriatic vacation, after a week of cruising. A great way to 'recover' from the food and busyness of a cruise, is to settle into a villa on a mountain lake and live like a local as much as possible. Villa Michelangelo is a great place to do just that.
The Location of this Villa, up the east side of Lake Como is easy to get to up SS36 and relatively quick from Lecco, with the highway.
The Location of this Villa, up the east side of Lake Como is easy to get to and relatively quick from Lecco, taking SS36. On the northeast side of the lake gives options to go down the lake, around the top to the west side, or north into Switzerland.
The Layout of the villa provides two private bedrooms downstairs and two accessible bedrooms upstairs. All have views out the back of the villa, towards the lake. The kitchen/living area has more than enough space for 7 or 10 people. Nice private yard and easy access to the pool.
The Lake Views and the mountain views are breathtaking. This peninsula puts you nearly in the middle of Lake Como, with amazing views to the south, with Bellagio in the distance. The walk down the hill to the Abbey, gives great views to the north.
Michele had excellent communication through all stages of the reservation and stay.
Highly recommended for a large group of travelers.
Ciao
