Spacious and unique type of room, love the fireplace and the butler’s space with fridge and sink. The happy hour with free wine and nibbles is a nice touch ! Well located !

Free continental breakfast is ok but could do with a bit more variety

By far the best feature was the free beverages at 5.30 each day in the beautifully decorated basement space. This was a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow travelers, and for this alone, I would stay again. Breakfast each day was good too (in the same space). The bedrooms were very large and had a lovely fireplace - they are decorated in period style and the beds are comfortable. The location was reasonably central.

The rooms had barely any lighting so it was hard to read in the room. The room we had on level 2 was very, very exposed to outside noise. I don't think there was any glazing on the old windows, so we slept poorly with banging and crashing waking us at all ours. Our children were on the ground floor and did not hear much noise.

If you are looking for staying comfortable with good stuffs, the hotel is excellent.

The aesthetic of the property was beautiful. I loved all of the decor and the comfortable feeling as if you were in someone’s home. The room was beautiful and spacious as well. The property was very clean and it was the perfect location for being able to explore the city even though I was in town for work. All of the staff were extremely kind, welcoming, and accommodating as well.

It is an old property but they really take care of it. Everything is clean and the rooms are big and comfortable.

Great quirky venue. The afternoon drinks were a bonus and the breakfast was excellent. Also the fire in our room was nice.

The whole stay was great, especially for the value. Loved everything! Comfortable, quiet room with a fireplace, continental breakfast in a lovely lounge area that had quite a variety including fresh pastries and coffee. Friendly staff! The maximalist British-themed vintage decor gives the whole place a unique, artsy charm. The location is safe and accessible with several good restaurants nearby.

The only thing that stood out was that the room was pretty cold throughout my stay and it took keeping the gas fireplace on daily, as well as using a provided standing heater, to stay warm. It's an old building anyway and it was late winter/early spring in SF so it made sense that it was cold.

Very cozy hotel. I loved the fireplace in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean . The staff were friendly and made my stay comfortable. it’s an older building so I was concerned with possible noises coming from the hall or other rooms but I was pleasantly surprised the room was very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel and will be coming back. Thank you to the wonderful staff and White Swan Inn !

The elevator wasn’t working but the staff carried my bags up and down the stairs.

A great attempt at making a hotel still seem like a hotel. Breakfast was great, the happy hour was fantastic, and the room and hotel decor was eclectic and entertaining. The location is fabulous but the hotel easily exceeded our expectations.

Our mattress needed replacing with one that's rather less saggy. The room could have done with a little more lighting, and one of our bedside lamps never fully turned off. The bathroom, which is otherwise excellent, needs a shelf or somewhere to put your toiletries.

Excellent location and rooms are very spacious for a boutique B&B in San Francisco. It’s a short walking distance from major attractions like Union Square and Chinatown, and it has excellent dining and bars at its doorstep. Especially at this time, it’s safe with staff keeping a good eye on who is coming in and out. The staff themselves are absolutely lovely and accommodating without being intrusive, and they made the stay even better. Fresh water and tea, coffee, and hot chocolate being readily available both in the room and the lounge was extremely appreciated! Be aware that the building is older and has some character. I do not mind this, but I can see some finding the stairs to be very steep and a few spaces in the bathroom narrow.

we very much enjoyed the ambience of the hotel. The breakfast was good and the wine evenings let us visit with a lot of interesting people.

The room was drafty, so we did get a bit chilled. The fireplace helped, but it isn’t like having modern heating and air conditioning.

Friendly staff, lovely quirky interiors with fireplaces. Good to have breakfast included. Wine and nibbles are a great way to have some time with friends also staying in the hotel after the trade show. We like the fact that the hotel isn't in a bland corporate style.

the coffee maker that i have is not working .. they should change the new one .. plus the tv theres no signal .they should get a cable .. but everyrhing is ok ..

I loved the Interieur Our king sized bed was very comfortable The people were very nice and helpful, we are travelling with a 4 1/2 old baby, a baby crib was brought right away into our room for no fees. And as we left the hotel to walk to the train station with all our stuff, the manager brought us a bottle of water for the way! We would book the hotel again if coming back to San Francisco
