Gildors hotel met our expectations, the staff were welcoming and helpful, the room and the bathroom were very clean, and our stay was excellent value for money.

Booking.com pictures and customer reviews suggested that there would be breakfast available at the hotel. This turned out to be outdated information.

Complicated check-in. Poor breakfast

We had a clean, spacious room. The property uses modern technology to improve efficiency. Everyone I talked to and corresponded with was very friendly.

We arrived later than expected and as a result were not able to get our key. After a couple of hours it worked out, but it was a worrying time for us.

The staff was superb! They were extremely helpful and polite! So much so that I would have recommended this hotel based on that interaction alone. After the stay, I can say the room lived up to my expectations; it room was very comfortable and clean. Additionally, the covid-19 procedures were easy to follow and contact with others was minimal. I definitely recommend this hotel and I will be using it again when next I need to stay in Dusseldorf.

The area is a bit loud so it can be a bit disturbing for light sleepers - this is obviously outside the control of the staff and not that much of a disturbance.

Breakfeast was mediocre at best. Coffee lukewarm.

Room was noisy with window open (you can hear the tram go by every 4 minutes) or too warm for comfort with window closed.
