About this house rental
Conveniently located between the beach road and the bypass road at Milepost 8.5 in central Kill Devil Hills, this bright and inviting 3 Bedroom Home is so comfortable, the entire family will enjoy. We are dog friendly, too! Book with full confidence as this is the spot to "Seas the Day" for your OBX adventure. We are just a 5 to 8 minute walk to the Clark Street Beach Access so you can be dipping your toes in the sands and waters of the Atlantic in no time. If you prefer, we provide two beach cruiser bicycles to get to the beach even quicker! We also provide a beach caddy. Downstairs is the outside shower and bathroom along with a 6 person Hot Tub and full washer/dryer. You can also lounge the day away downstairs with a large hammock, picnic table and swing bench. Upstairs is the entry with large balcony and outdoor furniture and another stairway to our crows nest for more outdoor relaxing. The living room is open and colorful with comfortable seating. We have fast WIFI for all your devices. The kitchen is fully equipped and even has a dishwasher. You can dine up to 7 people with the table and breakfast bar seating. Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with a flat screen TV with cable and DVD/Streaming device. The master has its own bathroom with a queen sized bed, while the 2nd bedroom has its own deck with table/chairs and also has a queen sized bed. The third bedroom has a twin/double bunk bed. We also provide linen service for all bedrooms along with 2 towels and 2 washcloths per bedroom. The main bathroom with tub/shower is located in the hallway. We clean the home ourselves and ensure a sanitized process is used for your safety. A short walk across the bypass (theres even a stop light for safety) there is shopping and dining to explore. There you will find Slice Pizza, Duck Doughnuts, Try my Nuts, OBX Brewery, Roosters Southern Kitchen, Captain Georges Seafood Buffet and many gift shops. You never have to get in the car for the beach, dining and entertainment! Look no further, your perfect OBX getaway is upon you!

We had a wonderful and relaxing Girls Weekend at Seas the Day! The house was very clean and well-appointed. The bed in the master bedroom could be firmer but everyone reported that their beds were very comfortable.
The kitchen did not have a starter roll of paper towels or a new cleaning sponge but otherwise it was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, filters for the coffee pot (there is both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker) and spices/oils.
The access to the beach is a short walk away, the equivalent of 3-4 blocks. Captain George's Seafood is right across the street (YUM) and Jack Brown's bar is 1 block away towards the beach (great for listening to a band &/or dancing).
Unfortunately, the hot tub was not up to our expectations. The water was very cloudy and the filter was old and disintegrating. We sent a text to the home owners but did not receive a response. Luckily, one of our party members is a certified pool operator and balanced the chemicals (that we purchased) after we replaced the filter with a new one we found in the laundry/storage room.
Otherwise, we had a fabulous stay! Thank you for sharing your house.

This is a cute beach house! It had everything we needed for a long weekend at the beach. It was chilly while we were there so the hot tub was really nice to have. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs! The gates on the deck were super nice for them. We had a wonderful stay and plan to be back again!

Stayed here for a long weekend and loved every minute! The home was beautiful and just as described. They had everything you could think of needed, and the hot tub was a hit! The location is center of everything and walking distance to plenty. The owners were so sweet and quick to respond to any questions. We can’t wait to stay here again!

The property was exactly as advertised. The checkin was easy, the house was well equipped for a wonderful stay. The location was great for beach access and good places to eat. The location on the main street was not an issue at all as stated in some of the reviews!

Seize the day is a true gem in the Outer Banks. It was perfect for our small group. It had all the amenities we could need. The house was clean and the hosts were great! We will definitely be booking again soon!

My husband, our 2 adult kids, and I stayed here for part of the holidays. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location is very convenient and the street noise wasn't a big problem even though it is close to a major road. We walked to shops and restaurants, a nature preserve, and of course, the beach.
We were really grateful to be able to bring our dogs and the house was so welcoming to them - dog water bowls and gates to keep them on the decks. The owners were helpful and responsive. And the hot tub was perfect for relaxing on the cool evenings!

My daughter and I stayed along with her dog and we had a wonderful relaxing week. We were very comfortable in the house and there was plenty of room for us. The location is great. several restaurants within walking distance.

Always in love with the OBX, this cute house is a great place to stay. Clean, well-stocked, and having all the extras you might need for a beach vacation made this house the perfect fit. We also had rainy days, but with the hot tub and perfect downstairs area as well as being conveniently located next to restaurants, shops, and grocery stores, even the rainy times were pleasant. The house is cheerful and bright and we had a wonderful relaxing vacation! We would definitely come again.

Very nice and comfy and clean. Even though it rained the whole time we were there. We loved the location of the house close to everything. The hostess of the house takes pride in their house and it definitely shows. Wasn't much for children if you are thinking of going to the outer Banks more for older people. My husband and my sister and brother in law absolutely loved our mini vacation. We would definitely stay there again for sure.

The home was everything and more! Great location - we seemed to be in the middle of everything. Just two blocks from the beach and a short drive (or walk) to many great restaurants, shopping, putt putt, and ice cream! It was everything we needed in a home. Perfect for our family of 4 and 2 dogs. We slept comfortably and never felt crowded. The outside shower was fantastic and the outside bathroom was an added bonus. I brought my own beach chairs but didnt need them because the house provided them. It was clean and comfortable. Many nights we sat on the porch and listened to the music coming from Jack Browns or the OBX Brewing Co. I was so grateful to find a home where I could bring my dogs. I definitely will be coming back!

The beach house was lovely. The kitchen is well stocked, and there are beach chairs/sand toys downstairs in the laundry area, which was super helpful. Public beach access is very close, but we still drove because of all the stuff. I never had a problem finding parking. We were very close to grocery stores and restaurants.

We absolutely love the house. It’s in a perfect location with easy access to the beach and restaurants. Superb host who is extremely responsive.
This was the vacation the family was needing together and we couldn’t have found a better location. Can’t wait to come back.

We had a wonderful week in the Outer Banks! This home is perfectly located to enjoy all the islands have to offer - excellent food options nearby (highly recommend Proof bakery, Biscuits N' Porn, Pigman's BBQ, Food Dudes Kitchen, and Village Pizza of Nags Head) and a short car ride to fun outdoor activities (Lost Colony, Jockey's Ridge, Ocracoke). The amenities at the home were a highlight - hot tub was great for the cool evenings and bikes were perfect for exploring nearby bike trail and getting to Nags Head Wood Preserve.
Buffy and JT were amazing hosts! They were available to answer any questions we had during the week and sent us a great guide to the area just before our stay, with helpful tips and recommendations for food and fun.
Thank you for a fun beach vacation. We'll be back!

This little gem was located centrally located to stores and mini golf. Several establishments including a great burger place, Outer Banks Brewing company, ice cream were a short walk away. The beach was probably about 8 mins away.
The house itself was perfect for our sized group. The kitchen was not lacking for anything we needed. There were board games and books for a rainy day. Our last day sadly. The deck space was great and allowed us to do shade or sun depending.
All in all a great time had by all.

It is “busier” than south, but that is expected and not surprising. I’d love to pick up this cottage and move it to Waves LOL

Rental was even better than expected! Interior was clean, bright and decorated so nicely! Had everything we needed and more. Outside decks, and space with picnic table under house was nice to eat dinner outside. Would definitely stay here again.

This house was perfect for our needs- we did a spring break trip with my 75yo mom, my spouse, our 12yo child, and our senior dog. The house was comfy and well stocked, and we really enjoyed the hot tub, fantastic location, and spacious feel. We were able to explore the entire OBX, from the northern end of Corolla all the way down south to Ocracoke Island during our weeklong stay, so this was a great central location for us to use as a base. Short walk to public beach, close to a LOT of delicious restaurants, and nice and quiet and comfy inside. We would definitely stay here again :)

My family is a very hard working one, and we needed a break to decompress. This location was perfect for us. We brought our dogs (so the entire family was together), the home is so comfortable, space for all of us, hot tub and bikes. Loved the outdoor showers too. Close to everything. Once we parked, we did not have to get into the vehicles again. We totally enjoyed our stay at Seas the Day and will definitely come back!!!!

The property was as advertised, very comfortable and homey. We enjoyed the central location of the home and being able to walk to restaurants and the beach. The beach is a little farther than we thought, but still able to walk to. The owners were very nice to check on us during our stay and enabled us have a later check out time, thanks for that!

The kids had no school on Friday and Monday, so it gave us an opportunity to get out of town for a mini-vacay. This was a great spot. Everything was very clean and in working condition. Walking distance to the beach and some really cool restaurants. We didn't use the hot tub as much as we would've liked because of the kiddos, but it was nice when we got in. Sitting on the 3 balconies was great to just relax while the kids played. Fun Zone was close by as well for them. We would definitely choose this location again if we decided to come back down to OBX.

Wife and I stayed a week with our dog. House is well stocked with everything that you need. You can head to any of the nearby grocery stores if you want to cook for yourself. If not, there are plenty of eateries within walking distance to the house. Outdoor areas are perfect for relaxing outside. There are two beach access points within a short walk from the rental. The property owners a very responsive and helpful with any questions that may arise.

This was our second time visiting this cottage, and we had a great stay! Such a cute and cozy space, it's clear the property is cared for and well maintained. It's in an ideal location—within walking distance to multiple beach entrances, sandwich shops/restaurants, and breweries/bars. And the hot tub makes it the perfect off-season sanctuary. We'll definitely be back!
