About this apartment rental
A Ocean Front apartment with a great view from the front balcony and now also from our new deck. For longer stays we are offering a very generous monthly discount. So extend your stay! This 2nd story 2 Bedroom and 2 Bath unit is a nice, tranquil, breezy apartment on a quiet little street in a gated neighborhood. It is within steps of the western end of the Isla Verde Beach and a sheltered cove. Also walking distance to wide, sandy beaches, shops, restaurants and a supermarket. The apartment is fully equipped and furnished. It has two bedrooms, including a large Master bedroom with a king size bed and two full bathrooms. Room A/C mini-split units in both bedrooms and also in the kitchen / living room area. In the cooler winter season (Nov - April), the apartment is great for just opening up the double doors in the living room and enjoying the ocean breeze and view. Also, a very big plus for our apt. is that it has solar powered battery back up so we keep going even if the grid should happen to go down. Other amenities include WiFi internet, and washer/dryer in the apt.. It is a non-smoking apartment. Relax on the balcony or in the living room enjoying the beautiful ocean views or sit in the shady patio garden or on our large deck. A short 2 minute walk to a sheltered cove, an excellent place for small children to play in the sand and shallow, calm waters. To get further down the beach where there are wider, sandy stretches, remember to bring good beach shoes to comfortably walk over some rocks along the way. (If you would like a bigger 3 bedroom/ 2 bath apt. see our property # 938186). A great location for food lovers. Within a short walk of the apartment you have a wide variety of eating options including a small food truck park, some casual dining (Pollo Tropical and Paco's Diner), excellent bakeries ( Panaderia Espana), a very good breakfast /brunch place (Bistro Cafe) and excellent coffee (787 Coffee), great local food, including 'mofongo' (La Casita,), pizzerias, and other fine international restaurants including Argentinian steak houses, Peruvian ceviche, and Italian. And if you feel like cooking your own meal, a supermarket is just down the road (Supermax).

This apartment is excellent in so many ways. It’s spacious—two adults and three kids fit in here well. The two bathrooms were key. In unit laundry is an amazing asset and it’s a bonus that there’s a second set of machines in the common space.
The location’s proximity to the beach is unparalleled it’s so easy to just pop over to the cove without worrying about parking or Ubers. The compound is super safe, gated etc.
It’s a major bonus that there are solar panels so when the electricity goes out this place still has use if everything except AC. Power goes out a lot in Puerto Rico so it’s very key to have solar. The internet was very strong. We were working while there on zoom calls while our kids were on tablets playing games. Internet could support all if it.
The place also comes with everything you need. Beach stuff—chairs coolers towels snorkels sand toys. Kitchen is fully stocked with rice cooker blender toaster food processor and relatively nice pots and pans
I also really liked that it has some character it’s got original looking fixtures and antique furniture. It’s nice that it’s not all ikea stuff. The outdoor spaces were also wonderful.
John is a super attentive but not intrusive host. He’ll make sure you’re safe and all set up while you’re there. It’s a huge asset to have a host that lives on site so they know what’s going on and are there to help if needed.

Had a great trip at this location. Host John was very friendly and gave tips on places to go and see. The location is great, right on the beach and close to ample eating locations and stores. The house is stocked with all that you will need for the beach - towels, chairs, snorkel gear, etc. The kitchen was fully stocked. Overall very clean and spacious. We would definitely return.

Well maintained, clean, comfortable, lots of amenities, fully stocked kitchen with small selection of spices, stocked bathrooms with towels, washcloth's, soap and shampoo. Landscaping is well maintained. It was great being so close to a calm little beach. The beach is only maybe a 3 minute walk but it’s not right out front. There is a beautiful view of the ocean right out front!

We spent a week here with friends. John was a wonderful host, He let us check in a little early which was appreciated. He was very communicative and helpful with suggestions of where to eat etc and even brought us some of his own grown and roasted coffee ! The location was perfect right on the beach and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend.

Overall a great stay at John's place. 4 of us (all females) in our mid 20s stayed here and felt safe. Location is great to hangout at the beach and San Juan isn't too far away. There isn't much of a 'party' scene this area, which we were okay with. Restaurants on the street near the house were good for the most part. We had a fantastic time, thanks John!

We loved everything about this place. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable. The weather was hot but the air conditioning was dependable. The kitchen had everything we needed. Best of all, we were only yards from the beach and a short walk to the sheltered cove where which felt very safe for swimming. I loved watching and hearing the ocean waves right from the apartment. 100% would love to return.

Amazing spot for a family vacation with a beautiful view of the ocean. Beach was walking distance which was a plus. I also enjoyed how conveniently located it was to food spots and any other touristy locations. John was very helpful and responsive with any questions that I had.

John was a fantastic host. Three were 2 boogie boards on the property, but John saw that we had 3 kids so he found another one for us even though we did not request it.
The property was great and the location was perfect. it was only a few minutes walk to a quite section of the beach with some nice waves. I would definitely recommend John and this property.

We really enjoyed our time at this property. It was very spacious and comfortable. Great amenities, including washer/dryer in the apartment, boogie boards, beach chairs and sand toys. John was an excellent host and very helpful at both check-in and check-out. Location next to the swimming cove was perfect and our kids took full advantage. A couple of great dining places a short walk away - including Bistro Cafe and The New Ceviche. Grocery store close by as well. Would definitely return.

The property is in a great location all kinds of restaurants, drinks, 24 hour super market, beach with very calm waters for kids, trees near the water for shade. Also, John, the host is great. My family loved him and everything was very organized from check in to a written manual inside the villa with information on things to do and places to eat. The villa was spacious for 4 people, had beach supplies, toys, games, books, etc. We will definitely stay here again.

First of all, John is a wonderful host! He was very helpful and accommodating to anything we needed during our stay. The location is right on the beach with beautiful views. The cove is perfect for swimming! Bed was very comfortable and we slept well the whole week. I would give this 6 stars if I could!

The house is directly on the water, and the beach with no seawall is just steps away. When not on the beach the AC works wells in each bedroom and the main room. John the owner was helpful and super nice. It was a great vacation! Several restaurants, grocery stores and food trucks are all walkable from the property. Does have secure parking as well if you rent a car.

This rental was the cherry on top of our time in PR. Nothing beats the location - right on the ocean and close to everything, including the airport and San Juan. John was very pleasant and thoughtful with the beach toys he provided for our kids. There are 3 A/C units in the home - The ones in the bedrooms worked fine, but the one in the main living room didn’t work for the entirety of our 7 day stay. John noticed it right before our stay and attempted to reset the machine promptly, called the technician, and offered another apartment at his location. The convenience of the washer and dryer and well-stocked kitchen were additional perks. We would highly recommend this home, but if A/C is important to you, just confirm that the units are functioning well before you book.

My husband and I went to Puerto Rico to celebrate our 25th anniversary. John, the owner and property manager, was friendly and easy to work with. The location was a great central location to travel to places on the island. The view of the ocean was beautiful. You have to walk to a nearby beach and/or cove since there is no immediate access to get into the water . The island is beautiful, and most people were very friendly. Our only complaint is that the master bed mattress wasn’t the most comfortable. All in all though, we give our stay 5 stars and would visit again!

Perfect for vacation!
John was wonderful! He was very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and had everything that we needed. Great location in San Juan! Walkable to coffee shops, restaurants and a grocery store. Easy driving to Old San Juan and downtown. There were enough beach towels, 4 beach chairs and extra sunscreen too! We even bought and left a beach umbrella to add to the stash. We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We cannot wait to stay again!

This is our second time staying in this property. The first time for 4 weeks last year, and this time for 2 weeks.
The location has been very good for our needs. A car rental is useful in PR, and the property has a designated parking space. John is a gracious and attentive host, and the upper level apartment we stayed in has all the amenities we needed with ample space for my family of 4 adults.

Puntas Las Marias review
We loved our stay at Puntas Las Marias! I couldn’t say enough good things about it. The rooms were immaculate. The apartment had everything you need for days at the beach, including towels, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. John was a great host and was very prompt. The location is phenomenal with just a few minute walk to Isla Verde beach, or a 10-20 min drive to downtown. You get a very quiet, secluded feel while being close to everything. Again, we loved our stay here and cannot recommend it enough :)

This is the Best place I've ever stayed at in Puerto Rico! Quite setting surrounded by tranquil coconut palms all while enjoying the ocean breeze and views from the private balcony!

Perfect Vacation Home
We have never stayed anywhere that felt so much like home. Everything about this unit was perfect: the spacious rooms, pet-friendliness, proximity to the ocean, security, great location with lots of restaurants within walking distance and airport just ten minutes. The place was full of little touches to make us feel welcome. The best part was the owner/ manager, John Lombardo, who greeted us upon arrival and was a great resource thoughout our stay. I highly recommend this property, and in fact we are returning in March!

Perfect, beautiful beachfront location
My hubby, sister-in-law and I spent a week here and it was absolute perfection. The ocean view is fantastic, and we would swim in the beach cove after long days of exploring the island. We spent an evening in the lush courtyard, and the apartment had plenty of space and all of the amenities we needed. Lots of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a store in case you wanted to pick up a bottle of Don Q and fresh parcha/passion fruit juice. John was a great host and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we visit.
