About this house rental
Our rustic (but elegant) multi-level, post & beam log home was built with trees harvested from the property. The home was custom-designed and built by hand.
There are two spiral staircases, please refer to photos. Privately located on four acres, the home sits on a knoll overlooking wide-open views of the forest and nature! The home was built for a couple, but it will comfortably sleep a party of four (with several sleeping options). Under some circumstances, we can accommodate a party of six in the house (you must inquire first). If you have a larger party we have a guest house on the property so please inquire about availability. The guest house may be rented separately to another couple; however, the guest house has its own private entrance and separate parking.
We have a large front lawn perfect for outdoor entertainment and it makes a terrific sledding hill. We have open and covered decks - perfect for lounging.
We offer wireless broadband, high-speed internet & Spectrum cable w/ HBO. If you'd like to stream using Roku, Fire Stick, etc., please bring your own device. We have a dedicated HDMI cable ready for your use.
In the wintertime, we recommend 4-wheel drive and/or snow tires. Rear-wheel drive is NOT recommended.

This is a great affordable way to experience the many outdoor adventures in the White Mountains.
The property is well maintained and within easy distance of nearby attractions. The host is organized and responsive to any questions you may have.

Overall a nice house in a nice location. What they don't tell you though, is that the upper level of the barn attached to the back corner of the house is another rental property with a deck that overlooks the kitchen and living room you're in. No curtains so less than private. Also, and this was a first for me in a vacation rental, we were instructed to bag our trash and recycleables and bring them to the town transfer station. The transfer station doesn't open untill noon and we had to be out of the house by 11:00.

This home is absolutely beautiful! Exactly as listed and pictured. Comfy beds, couches and plenty of space. We had everything we needed to cook great meals. Plenty of towels and basic needs supplies. Downtown Littleton has grown so much since the last time we were here and was a 5 minute drive from the house. Hands down the best rental property I’ve had the privilege of staying at. We will be back!

Beautiful house. The guest house thing was a bit worrisome but we never saw the guest staying in it once and didn’t have an issue. It doesn’t seem like the house is fully cleaned when someone is coming to clean it. A lot of webs, water spots, almost like they clean what is visibly dirty and leave the rest untouched. House has great views and a nice deck but the deck was snow covered. Wished the house was cleaner.

Just perfect!! A five minute ride to the sweet, friendly town of Littleton, a 20 minride to Cannon mountain, and with hiking trails nearby, the location is perfect

Lovely home filled with all sorts of comforts. The homeowners were very responsive and their directions to the house were super easy to follow. The place is clean and inviting and we felt very at-home here. The kitchen was great for making dinners and the sunroom perfect for early morning book-reading.
This is our second time staying here and we hope to come back again sometime soon. It’s so peaceful and relaxing here. We had a wonderful long weekend.

The accommodations were great. The location was very nice, quiet, and relaxing. Everything was clean - plenty of towels. We enjoyed having coffee on the upper balcony. There was nearby hiking. Not far from Mt. Washington if you want to hike or do the auto road. We would definitely stay again.

The home was wonderful, met our needs and was conveniently located for everything on our list. Very easy to get around on I-91, I-93 and Rte 302. We ventured into northern Vermont and western Maine in addition to exploring several areas of New Hampshire. The history of the area, the architecture of the 200+ year old homes and the stunning vistas made it such a relaxing trip.

We did not realize there was another rental in the garage that is attached and shared driveway. Did not realize two of the bedrooms were in a lower level that was similar to basement. Had to keep dehumidifier running as smelled and felt damp. Did not realize water consumption was an issue and was recommended to time showers and dishwasher and washing machine. However the main floor was lovely. There were lots of cooking items and updated appliances. The tv channels were great. Beautiful area. More attention to cleaning would be suggested for example the main level bathtub had soap scum build up and several areas had cobwebs.

My sister and I had a wonderful visit in the Littleton area. Great hiking and restaurants. The stay at Susan's home was the perfect location for all of our needs. She provides loads of maps and suggestions. Absolutely loved the place!

What a beautiful place to stay! All the comforts and conveniences of home plus a beautiful, peaceful location. The porch was great for morning coffee and afternoon reading - always able to find shade or sun, whichever you prefer - and a nice breeze. The views were spectacular and sunsets through the trees were gorgeous.
Lots to do and see in Littleton - favorites include Schilling Brewery for craft beer and wood-fired pizza and Sew Far North Quilting Studio to see stunning quilts. If you get a chance and want some outstanding Latin American food (not your everyday tacos), head to El Mirador in Bethlehem.

A wonderfully positioned and unique “upside down” house. With bedrooms on the ground floor and access to the living area, on the first floor, via a spiral staircase. Not for the infirm or mobility challenged, but a delight. Extensive views over the garden lawn, bordered by trees bearing leaves of every hue forming the foreground to the mountains beyond. Magical ! The house was well equipped and comfortably furnished and we much enjoyed our stay. The only minus point was unworkable plug systems in both bathroom basins entailing washing under running water. A pity when water conservation is being brought to the attention of renters. Whilst my warning to the mobility challenged is very real, I should add I’m 87 and survived unscathed ! Unquestionably recommended !

Magnificent house!
We spent a wonderful week in this magnificent house. The house is very spacious, pretty, clean and includes all necessary amenities. The grounds are beautiful and quite secluded. We traveled a lot in the area. Most trails and attractions we did were within a 30 min drive away.

So Comfortable
We felt very comfortable immediately in this home. Everything we needed was there and easy to locate. The couches and beds were super comfy and cozy. We were there in February and The insulation was incredible, we never felt a draft anywhere, and felt no need to have thermostat above 68. The downstairs bedrooms have dark window shades which was a big plus for us. Woukd definitely stay here again.

Perfect Ski Getaway
This was my 1st house rental as we always stayed at a hotel. This place was beyond perfect for my family! Great location for skiing at Cannon Mtn. We loved the open concept house & the kitchen was spectacular. It was the little things that made our stay feel like home- flannel sheets, tissue boxes in the right locations, soft tp & a gas stove. The picture & description are the real deal. I don't think there could have been a better house at this rate in this location. We are definitely returning the next time we ski at Cannon!

Beautiful cozy home within driving distances to Cannon Mt and White Mt
This property is nicely secluded. However, it’s within driving distances to stores and restaurant. The owner was very helpful, and communicated throughout the renting and arrival process. The woodworking was very impressive inside. Also, you have a good view of the mountains. The kitchen was well furnished for cooking family meals. There is also a nice hill out front for the kids to go sledding. Our overall experience was positive, and we look forward to potentially staying here again.

A wonderful get-away
We wanted a get-away weekend for Thanksgiving with a lot of peace and quiet to just relax and de-stress. This place was perfect! From start to finish.
The homeowners were very communicative and also had some great suggestions of things to do and places to go. They know the area around Littleton and gave great suggestions.
The hose is extremely comfortable, with everything we could have wanted and more. The kitchen had any appliance and gadget we could have needed, there are books (huge selection!), puzzles, & games, and a beautiful deck or sunroom to sit in and just relax. We spent a lot of time in the sunroom watching the snow fall and loving every minute.
The location is great as well - only minutes to the major highway and town of Littleton but far enough away as to have no one around and an unobstructed view of the mountains. The directions to get to the house were very easy to follow and the road (& thanks to a wonderful man named Steve, the driveway too!) was plowed after the snow, so we had no trouble getting in and out.
This seems like a great place for any season and we would love to come back in the summer, but I highly recommend this as a winter getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here.

Awesome Fall Visit
This home is a very nice place to stay! The location is close to town, has easy access to the interstate but feels very private. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking meals which is always appreciated. Grill is convenient to the kitchen with a nice outdoor table right there too. We absolutely loved the king bed! So comfortable & flannel sheets were wonderful! There is an outdoor fire pit to enjoy the big yard. Very tastefully decorated. There were guests in the garage apartment but we never saw or heard them. Great location to explore in every direction. Dog friendly too! Great spot!
