About this bed and breakfast

Quaint house in Great Valley , Cattaraugus County, New York, with two bedrooms and one full bath will accommodate up to 10 people. Bedroom one has a queen and two singles, bedroom two has two full beds and one set of bunkbeds. The deck off the back overlooks a large farmer's field and beautiful scenery. House is decorated with skiing and eclectic decor and has a full kitchen with all the conveniences including, oven, micro, coffee maker, blender, pots&pans, seasonings, utensils, TV with many dvd's and Wi-Fi.
House is conveniently located close to Holiday Valley and Holimont ski resorts, Golfing, Mountain biking and outdoor adventure park, take a ride on the Skyflyer mountain coaster at Holiday Valley. Also near Seneca casino, Allegheny State Park and Rock City Park, Griffs Sculpture Park, Huge Antique mall in Salamanca, another in Great Valley, along with many other year round attractions.. 5 miles to scenic Ellicottville with its many unique shops, wine tasting, and dining experiences. Other attractions include the famous Pumpkinville, Little Valley dirt track racing, many festivals and year round events in Ellicottville and surrounding areas. We ended up going to another property. There was black mold growing in wet and sagging ceiling tiles and a deep smell of mold. I do not wish to leave a bad review as the owners may not have been aware of the roof leaking and mold growing. Although there was some previous repaired leaks. They agreed to a refund. Since we did not stay there, this should not be a complete review.

I wish I could review this place better than I did. It was a great location, and the pictures don’t do the place justice. However, my experience staying here was terrible. I arrived 2 hours past check in time, and there were no instructions on how to check in. We had to wait for Ron to call and to say he was expecting us the next day even though our reservation was indeed for the day we arrived. We walked in to dishes in the sink, crumbs on the table and overall a messy place. The cleaning was not finished because of the confusion of check in. The cleaning lady was sent over and we had to wait for her to finish. It was a huge inconvenience for our dinner plans that night, and the cleaning was not well done. We found sticky stuff on the towels, hair in the shower, and ketchup on the pillow in the living room. We expressed our problems to the host several times, and he never responded. Luckily Vrbo customer service was able to help us resolve this issue. I would recommend this place as long as you are okay with an unprofessional host and a home that is questionably cleaned. Another note, do not stay here if you have allergies !

We stayed at this location for a ski trip to Holiday Valley. The space was plenty big enough for our two 4 person families. Unfortunately, we found the house to be very musty and had an odor of mold/mildew. It had an overall "dirty" feel to it. Bed linens and pillows had a mildew odor, which caused several people in our group to have sinus/allergy issues during the trip. The kitchen was missing some items we would have liked on our trip (Tupperware, crock pot). Overall a good location, and enough room for a group, but if you are at all sensitive to mold/mildew I would recommend somewhere else.

The cottage was perfect, very clean, and well stocked with all essentials. Beds were comfortable. Owners responded to messages very quickly.
