The Dahl house was beautiful and a perfect location to downtown Franklin. The host Nanci was very friendly and hospitable. We truly enjoyed our 4 day stay in Franklin and great location to visit other towns, Leiper’s fork, Nolensville, and Nashville.

We absolutely loved this house. Perfect location for my daughter and grandson to meet me at our halfway point between Georgia/Memphis. Only wish we had access to the fire pit. But we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you!!

Adorable house in a great location

Had a late Christmas with our adult daughter. Christmas decorations were still up so it was great!

Great location, cute home and beautifully decorated for Christmas. Cleanliness was lacking in several areas. We found only two wash cloths the first day. Later found wet wash clothes in bathroom drawer and others in a basket under TV in bedroom. Main thing, we found molded sausage left in oven from previous occupant. Just seemed like cleaning was done very quickly.

We stayed here with our two adult daughters. This was a super cute home. It was very well decorated, clean, very cozy and warm. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. The location was also fabulous.

My parents absolutely loved the place. It was in a great location and had so much charm.

This cottage is charming and perfectly situated near downtown Franklin. Once we parked the car we did not need to use it all weekend! We will definitely return to this lovely location.

The property is fine however the owner leaves a lot to be desired. She called the next day after check-in and asked to speak to my wife. We were in downtown Franklin and my wife was in another store. I wasn’t expecting a call from anyone with a Beverly Hills, CA number so I didn’t know who was calling me at first. She asked if anyone was at the house as she wanted to stop by and drop off some items (weird) and I explained to her that we had just left and were down the street shopping however the door was unlocked as we couldn’t figure out how to lock it (Completely our fault; We should have called immediately). I didn’t think it would be a big deal as the area seemed like “Mayberry” from the 1960’s where everyone left their doors unlocked however Mrs. Dahl began to scream at me saying that she had valuables in the home and I shouldn’t have left it unlocked. I explained that I tried for quite sometime to get the automatic door to lock (There was a procedure that wasn’t outlined in check-in instructions) and was unsuccessful. She screamed at me that I was lying. At this point I hung up because I didn’t want to be screamed at by someone calling my a liar. She immediately called back. I answered thinking that maybe she had collected herself and was planning to apologize and work the problem out. I was met by her screaming, “Get the F*&$ out of my house! Get the F*&$ out of my house now!” She then continued to rant saying that I was lying about my wife being unavailable and that if my wife was smart she’d run from my crazy a$$ (I can’t argue that point, I did better than I deserve) and that I was to vacate her property. I calmly said that we were five minutes away and would leave immediately. She waited about ten minutes and texted, then called. She wanted to start over and said she had a bad day. She apologized and asked that we consider staying and to not leave. I told her that I accepted her apology and I apologized for anything I did to offend her and for leaving her door unlocked. However I explained that we no longer felt welcome and would go check into a hotel. We then packed my father (who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last week) and the rest of my family into the car. Prior to leaving, I called and asked her to talk me through how to lock the door so I didn’t make the same mistake. She told me how. I explained my dad’s health condition and that I was a combat veteran and that we wished her a Merry Christmas.

We LOVED the Dahl House. It is gorgeous and is so comfy, cozy and charming!! It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! Perfect location to downtown Franklin. Highly recommend this house for a perfect vacation spot! We had no problems at all!! We will come back again!!

We just spent a great weekend in Franklin with our 16 and 13 year old at the beautiful Dahl house. The home has so much character but has been beautifully restored and decorated. The living room furniture was so comfy for our evenings back at the house and we slept like rocks in the super comfortable beds. All the perfectly placed fall decor put us right in the mood. We enjoyed Gentry Farms one day and Nashville on another. And of course, the PumpkinFest downtown was so fun and it was great to be able to walk there from the house and not have to worry about parking. Thank you again for sharing your home with us. We look forward to a return.

If you like to walk to coffee shops and restaurants followed by conversation on a great porch, this home is for you. The interior is thoughtfully decorated and stocked with what you need. Comfortable beds. Good shower. Lovely kitchen.

Love the Dahl house. Bluebird a bit short on closet space. Air unit. Not sure it was working properly. Overall both places are amazing I love your Decor. Would definitely stay there a third time. Love the kitchen. Thank you.

We had a great time at the Dahl house. Very clean and organized. We just had a small glitch on getting the code to the front door, but after that, everything was perfect. We enjoyed the nice walk to downtown and really enjoyed the neighborhood.

This is an adorable home within an easy walk of downtown Franklin. We enjoyed our stay with few minor issues which were addressed promptly. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Me and my two friends absolutely loved staying in the Dahl house. It is a 5 minute walk to main street's restaurants and shops which was super fun. We had the best morning just sitting out on the front porch swing talking and watching the world go by. The house was clean and just as described. We were enamoured with the charm of the house which also was cozy, comfortable and accommodating. I would definitely stay at the Dahl House again. Thank you to our lovely host, Nanci!

We had a very comfortable stay with our four kids, aged 17-5. Even without the extra bedroom (which is optional for an extra charge per night) we had plenty of room, with 2 of the kids sleeping on the comfortable couches. It’s a beautiful home in a very convenient location to downtown. We walked to town for shopping and ice cream, walked to a restaurant to eat, and walked to the river to play. The backyard was enough to keep the little kids happy and we all loved the porch swing. The bikes were an added pleasant surprise. The kitchen is both functional with everything we needed to prepare meals (bring all your own spices, etc) and lovely and bright. The dining room table was large enough for our family of 7 (we were visiting our oldest son who lives in Franklin and joined us for meals), and we had one meal on the back patio which was also lovely with the string lights turned on. You can walk to historic civil war tours, which are very interesting. Overall, a great place to visit and a wonderful, comfortable home to stay in.

A great experience overall. The VRBO website never did send the access code! I’m glad I contacted the owner for it before we arrived. She was very cordial and prompt in responding.

My wife and I wanted to spend a special New Years weekend with our three young adult daughters. The Dahl House was everything we wanted and more. It’s perfectly located in the heart of downtown Franklin, TN ( a nice relaxing walk to shopping and restaurants ) and is just a charmer of a home......so cozy, comfortable and well appointed. Nancy was awesome and made sure our stay was nothing but the best! We would highly recommend the Dahl House!

Wonderful location and a warm, well designed home that offered plenty of opportunity to watch movies, entertain and cook. Loved it!

Our family absolutely loved this house! The master bed was SO comfortable which to me is a big deal. It was clean and we all felt right at home here. My kids age 11 and 7 had a great time here especially my son who played the piano daily, what a cute idea! The owner was easily available as needed and was a pleasure to work with! Book here, you won’t be disappointed!

Comfortable, interesting, well decorated, it had everything we needed and more! We were able to walk to downtown restaurants and shopping so easily!! It was a special place to stay and made our Horse Show experience so relaxing. A million times more comfortable than a hotel and the owner was wonderful to work with!

We had a great few days exploring downtown Franklin and enjoyed how close it all was. You can walk to Three Crowns Bakery or Biscuit Love in the morning, or Frothy Monkey for coffee, or wine at night and have a short walk home. The home decor stores are just down the street and Main Street shopping and restaurants are right there too. The home has comfortable couches and beds. The kitchen Has been updated and is so pretty. The AC works great. Will totally recommend staying here to visiting friends and family. This is just the type of home you hope to find when VRBOing!

We had a great weekend celebrating my sisters upcoming wedding. However, prior to arriving the host made a mistake in the booking and made us book an extra day even though it was her mistake and not part of our travel plans. She was very rude not allowing us to cancel the reservation, and bullied us into adding the extra night. The washer and dryer did not work during the weekend and we had to purchase more towels and wash clothes which were not refunded. After the trip she claimed we stained a kitchen chair in which we did not, and she threatened to file a vrbo claim if we did not pay her PayPal invoice. Overall very dissatisfied with the hospitality of the host and the distress caused. There are many great houses in this area and I would suggest looking elsewhere!

The Dahl house was awesome for our group of girls that came in for a bachelorette party. It's beautiful and felt like home. It is in walking distance to downtown Franklin, which has a lot of cute shops, restaurants, and a Starbucks! It's about 30min drive to Nashville and not far from Arrington Vineyards. I definitely recommend this beautiful home for your stay!

Cute house right next to the heart of downtown Franklin. We LOVED it. House is super cold so make sure you bring warmer clothes for while you are hanging in the house. We could have turned the air down but made sleeping wonderful so we left it alone. Had everything we needed and would rent again. Just do not leave anything behind because it is a hassle to get it back.
