About this villa rental
The villa has a beautiful swimming pool in the garden and a heated Jacuzzi on the top terrace.
On the ground floor of the main house, there is a fireplace, a bedroom with three beds, a dressing room and a bathroom with a shower, but there also is a master bedroom, which has its own bathroom. The master bedroom's bathroom has a tub and a shower.
On the ground floor, there is also a bedroom closet with a bathroom, a washing machine and an iron.
A wide and convenient granite staircase, with large windows that overlook the garden, leads to the first floor. On the first floor, there is another living room, which has a television with Sky. This room leads to a beautiful terrace on which there is a marble dining table for 10 to 12 persons. The terrace is covered by a pergola and connected to a kitchen that is equipped with a fridge, freezer, toaster, electric kettle, blender, oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is also fully equipped with plates, cutlery, glasses, breakfast cups, place mats and all the other daily necessities. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms: a master bedroom, which is built on two levels and which has a bathroom with a tub, a dressing room and a television with My Sky. The other bedroom has two single beds, a dressing room and a big bathroom with a shower.
Another huge terrace, which is partly covered by a pergola, can be reached from this terrace thanks to a very convenient staircase. It is fully equipped with sun chairs, tables, sofas and armchairs with pillows. It has a magnificent mini Jacuzzi pool (heated).
There is a private car park on the property that can be reached via a narrow street, so we recommend cars no larger than a Golf, for example. The car park is large enough for 2 cars.
Swimming pool is open from May to October.

This villas far exceeded my expectations for our family of 12. It could not have been more perfect indoor and outdoor spaces. All rooms had their own baths and so many outdoor areas to enjoy. The foosball table, pool and hot tub were a big hit. The villa felt very safe and secure with walls, gates and fencing allowing our 4 kids some freedom. Location was perfect, out of the crowds of Sorrento but close enough to enjoy and so close to the small town of Massa Lubrense. We walked many times just down the hill for coffee, pastries and the market. We were welcomed by store owners and invited to watch an Italy football match with the locals. The villa owner, Irma and Lucio our contacts, were available for all our needs and a pleasure to work with. We also took advantage of Gaetano’s car service for our transportation needs, always prompt or early. Our family would have no hesitation staying again at the amazing villa again. It was a dream!

This was our second visit to this beautiful villa and we’ll definitely be back. The villa is roomy with plenty is space to spread out. There are multiple outside areas to enjoy. There is room for a small car. The only possible negative is that the hill to the villa is quite steep.

We had a wonderful time at the villa. Lucio and Irma were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful and kept very clean- we had a everything we wanted and all the amenities were really good quality. It was great having the cold water in the swimming pool (in may) and then the hot tub as well. The beds were all very comfortable and lots of bathrooms for everyone! Massa Lubrense had all essentials within walking distance but was a little off the beaten track so much less hectic than other more touristy places- which we were very pleased about. The only thing I would say is if you hire a car go for the smallest possible- there is parking at the villa but the space is very very tight - although you can easily park in the road. I would absolutely recommend this villa - who knows we might even be back

This Villa is beautiful and comfortable and has the most amazing views. It is very roomy with so much outdoor space. Irma & Lucio are wonderful hosts who were available for anything we needed and to answer any questions…. Fresh flowers,Easter candy, 2 surprise breakfasts… we couldn’t have asked for more. This is a fabulous find that I highly recommend. Massa Lubrense is a charming town as well, just above Sorrento. Just lovely

Villa Torre del Giglio is a beautiful villa that has been tastefully renovated, modernized and decorated. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking the small town center of Masse Lubrense and the sea below. Stunning views from the expansive roof deck. Two buildings, the huge main house and the old tower which is a living area and bath downstairs, and a second floor bedroom and bathroom with the best views! Plenty of space for our group of 7.
We walked in to the town frequently to visit the cafes (called "bars") and the restaurants which were all amazing. We also went to a few of the markets to get food to cook ourselves. Just be aware there is a steep stone driveway that can be a bit slippery going down and heart-pumping going up, as well as stairs leading up to the villa. But let me say after catching our breadth each time we returned it was worth the climb!
Since we were there off season in March, there were several businesses still closed until April 1. But, we found some great places that were open and it was nice having the attention of all the business owners to ourselves! They all treated us special.
The owner Maria, was very responsive (off site) and the two local caretakers, Irma and Lucio, were fantastic. They reached out every day to see if we needed anything and had recommendations for restaurants and a taxi driver which we used to bring us to a couple of excursions. They even brought us pastries on our first and last day, and a gift from the owner. Amazing!

Stayed with my family over the Christmas holidays. Lucio the property manager was very hospitable and welcoming. He gifted us with some amazing pastries when we arrived and again when we checked out. Villa was perfect for the 6 of us. I would love to come back in season and visit again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Villa , plenty room for everyone to spread out . Everyone had there own bathroom . We had the large bedroom with balcony on first floor , very comfortable cool and quiet . Facilities were good . Only one thing the kitchen was pretty small for the size of the house , plenty eating areas inside and out and the view from terraces was wonderful. It was a nice quiet area you felt part of the town . Saracan tower very interesting and different . We were a family of 12 . The managers could not do enough for us, so kind . They met you at bottom of track and transported your luggage up to villa . Steep incline to villa but managed with buggy ok. Managers gave us a gift of pastries on day one and our last day and gave us some jars of homemade lemon marmalade to take home . So kind , they were always on hand to help . The owner of villa had flowers sent to myself and my niece in our birthday . A wonderful gesture . We found the town very nice not touristy locals with all the shops you need and restaurants and loved the nearby harbour with fantastic restaurants and views . It was only 15 mins on a bus from town to Sorrento so easy to get about . You don’t need a car . Enjoyed everything so much we Definately would go back . We cannot express enough how amazing our stay was at the villa! We arrived after a long flight to Lucia and Erna making us a fabulous pizza dinner! We loved the villa and Lucia and Erna were exceptional! They took care of our every need! The villa was beautiful inside and out! My family and I had a wonderful time in Massa Lubrense. The villa is absolutely perfect. Finely furnished, we found everything we could possibly need. Lucio, the contact person on site, was amazing: always available and ready to assist us in any request or need. The va action has just finished but I would go back tomorrow if I could. I will vividly recommend my friends and family to stay at torre del giglio.

We have just spent the most amazing week here in Massa Lubrense. The villa itself was amazing, and Lucio the property manager just the most wonderful kind person you are ever likely to meet. Nothing was too much trouble, from simply taking my elderly (80+ years old) parents to town, or upto Picco Restaurant which is a must or a group of us to Nerano beach and back, he also cooked a delicious pasta and fish dinner for us and supplied us with his homemade limoncello, grazie Lucio!
The villa itself is well equipped with everything that you need from the cool dipping pool to the rooftop hot tub, you will enjoy this place. The town of Massa Lubrense has everything you need from a local town, great groceries, bars, restaurants and gelato. Oh and Lucio provided us with Italian pastries on our first and last mornings . We were a group of 11, ranging in ages from 16 - 85 and we all loved our stay, even my parents managed the small steep climb to the villa.

Wonderful villa in small town Massa Lubrense. Views galore! The owners and their staff take great pride in the property. They are the most responsive of all that I have experienced. Mr. Lucio and Irma took care of all of our needs. They even came over to make a pizza dinner for us. I just left today and miss it and them already. A+++++. Gratzie mille!

Bravo! Communication with Maria the owner was very easy. Upon arrival Mr Lucio and Irma had a beautiful antipasto, bread and wine waiting for us, complements of the owner. The villa was impeccable, everything was immaculate and the views were spectacular. Mr Lucio dropped off pastries in the morning. Easy walk to the town where everyone was very friendly and it had great restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and, of course, gelato and pizza. The bus to Sorrento ran every 20 minutes. We used driving services by Gaetano and his company and drivers were friendly and accommodating. We had Mr Lucio and Irma make us pizza in the villa’s outdoor pizza oven and it was over the top! Filomena cleaned the place spotless on Saturdays and Wednesdays. All in all, this was a memorable vacation in the villa. We would definitely consider returning. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

The villa was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Beautiful spot with lots of room for everybody. Lots to see and do, and we were well looked after by Lucio, Irma and Philamena. Comfortable beds too.

Our family had a marvelous time at the villa. The location was supreme (the most beautiful views) and we could not have asked for more hospitable hosts. Lucio and Mihaela attended to any of our needs: helping us take our bags to the villa, bringing us pastries the first and last morning of our trip, purchasing groceries for us upon our arrival (especially loved the fresh fruit), and most special was the lovely four course meal they served us. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spare and we enjoyed the special amenities like the hot tub and ping pong table - even during the cooler weather. We slept comfortably every night as it was quiet and had all the comforts of home. The town of Massa Lubrense surpassed any and all of our expectations. The people were all so warm and friendly, offering gifts everywhere we went. We loved our meal at Il Cantuccio and the cafes were all charming with great espresso and pastries. Casa Gaetano also provided us with Joseph - a private driver. Joseph had the most wonderful spirit and gave great recommendations across our trip. We used him to travel to and from Naples as well as day trips to the Almalfi Coast and Pompeii/Vesuvius. Our favorite part was going to Mass on Palm Sunday with the beautiful service and music. We look forward to our next visit at the villa. Perfecto!

There were 13 of us with ages ranging from 5-75, with a teenager, young adults and a few middle aged in the middle.
The house was the perfect size, with lovely rooms and terraces to come together to have dinner and play games in the evening.
The view was gorgeous and we loved spending time around the pool.
It really was a home from home, with every kitchen utensil you could need, hairdryers in every bedroom and plenty of towels for the pool and bathrooms.
Lucio, Michela, Philomena and Carlo's wife were so kind and thoughful, always easy to contact for any advice. We really appreciated the fresh pastries delivered by Lucio and the Limoncello as a goodbye gift.
The walk from the road to the house is steep, but my 75 year old parents managed it a few times a day.

Loveliness in
Our stay in Massa Lubrense was the perfect vacation. My family enjoyed the lovely location in a small village near Sorrento. We mostly stayed at the villa with the view, pool, football and ping pong that kept us happy. But we could always walk to the village for groceries, shopping, water or GELATO which was a daily occurance.

Outstanding Massa Lubrense
I wish there was a way to give more than 5 stars, what a destination, property and host! First, the property is stunningly beautiful, has excellent amenities, and is very functional for a bigger group with multiple families. We enjoyed morning coffee or happy hours from several patios around the property, or around the pool at sunset. The pool and hot tub were well used by the 4 kids in our group (6-12). I can’t say enough about the host and the staff that came by. Handy and responsive. They even arrived at our extended check out time to help with our bags. This on top of several thoughtful items left in the kitchen or on the doorstep for breakfast in the morning. For our group of two families, this place worked perfectly. Highly recommend. Only point of awareness is that there is a steep hill up to the house from the main road, just something to consider for those that have trouble with that sort of thing, not a big deal for our group including the six year old.

We would love to come back
Our family, a group of 8 enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. With the proximity of the Amalfi coast we took a private tour with Luigi and had a fabulous day. We took a boat tour to Capri with a local company and had a fabulous day. Some of our favourite times were spent on the local trails. We enjoyed family dinners at this very well equipped house. The Hot tub was enjoyed by all. Everything you need!
The help of the staff was most appreciated. We were even treated to wonderful fresh pastries for breakfast!

We had a great time
We were a group of 14 people but the house is very spacious and has many bathrooms. We had a great time. Highly recommended moments are the sunset from the pool and dinner on the first floor terrace, especially the night we entrusted Lucio with a pizza dinner his wife made for us. Authentic and delicious pizzas.
As aspects to be improved, the sofa bed in the tower should be replaced because it is very uncomfortable to sleep on. The wifi also needs to be improved: the one in the tower has very little coverage and the one in the house has a little more, but the password is very long.
Warning to guests: you reach the front door by a very steep and narrow street, I advise parking on the street below. The problem is if you arrive loaded with luggage

Fantastic villa in perfect setting
Rented this beautiful villa it was better than the online pictures. So clean. Carlo kept us up to date and answered questions promptly even got my transfers sorted. A great start and it just got better, 10 of us stayed as it was my husband's birthday Lucio is fantastic and so attentive his family catered for the birthday meal 17 of us in total as relatives from Naples came, a beautiful meal and birthday cake his daughter Lucia made. Also highly recommend the pizza party as well best pizza we've ever eaten!!. The villa is a short walk to shops and everything you need. We took the bus to Sorrento a great place to visit. Lucio was waiting on our arrival if you need anything he is always there to help. We can't thank him, Anna, Lucia and Manuel enough. We will be back.

Gorgeous grounds, beautiful views
Lovely but older villa. It is very unique and has beautiful views. The owner and manager were very easy to work with. The property is lovely outside. Inside it is a large old villa with bathrooms that have most recently been updated. It is a good jumping off point for Positano, Capri and Sorrento which we visited and loved.
There were a few things to consider that could have made the stay better. The mattresses are not very comfortable, the AC units need to be serviced (the one in the main house leaked and basically stopped working which was fine bc we didn’t spend much time there) and there are a lot of ants! I found ants in our bed several nights which was disconcerting and awoke to find one on my face. I’m sure this is just because the house is older.

Wonderful Family Holiday
There were 5 adults and 5 children in our group and this beautiful villa was more than large enough to accommodate us. The villa itself is wonderful, spacious and very well equipped. Lucio was fantastic and so accommodating, we can recommend the pizza party, fabulous food and his family even made a cake for my 6 year old sons birthday! Masa Lubrense has some lovely local restaurants and shops, we were on holiday for my brothers wedding in sorrento which is only about 10 minutes away. We were glad we didn’t hire a car, the public transport was great and children travelled for free. Cannot recommend the villa enough we really enjoyed our stay here.

A gem!
Perfect location for exploring the Amalfi Coast! The home is lovely and easily accommodates 10.(even more) Massa Lubrense is a charming town with very friendly locals. The caretaker Lucio was very attentive to details and responded any time we called. Would absolutely stay here again!!

Italian Holiday
Our stay in Massa Lubrense was everything we hoped for and more. Lucio, his English speaking assistant, and his beautiful family were great hosts. The Friday before we left he and his family prepared a gourmet meal including what we all decided was the best homemade lasagna we had ever eaten. Unfortunately my wife took a tumble on the narrow, dark road back to the villa one night so we caution future visitors to be extra careful and to bring a light of some sort. All in all our visit was a dream come true and we highly recommend this location to anyone with a fairly large family group. Ideally, eight people although it could accommodate a few more.

The Villa is very nice with 5 bedrooms and 5 baths. The town was fun to shop and had good restaurants. There is a bus station in town with good travel options. We rented cars but the buses were a better option as the roads are crowded and very curvy. We had Lucio and his wife do 2 dinners for us and they were delicious. The pool and hot tub were great after busy days of site seeing

Beautiful, spacious villa with wonderful views
Seven of us spent a week in this fabulous villa. The photos on the website do not do it justice. It’s extremely spacious and would easily accommodate a much larger group. The roof top terraces are a wonderful place to sit and take it in the spectacular views. The only downside is the kitchen, which is on the small side, but there are lots of wonderful restaurants to eat out in nearby. The caretaker, Lucio, was fantastic and he organised a breakfast for us one day and also a Pizza Party. We were glad we didn’t hire a car as the road up to the villa is steep and narrow. Instead we used the local taxi company, Persico, who looked after us wonderfully. They organised a half day trip to Pompeii, as well as transfers to and from the airport. We can’t recommend this Villa enough!

The Villa was exactly as promised.
We had a wonderful 2 weeks with the family. Good public transportation for all of the Sorrento area. Some of the family took a 8 hour boat trip from the local marina.
You can walk to Massa Lubrense in two minutes. We went every day to pick up a few supplies!

Fabulous Italian villa with great Hosts
We are a large Family of 8. The town was perfect, quiet and not touristy. The House was as advertised with plenty of space. Lucio and his family were great hosts, they came to prepare a pizza party for our daughters 15th Birthday. They also provided great recommendation for the various day trips (local beach and boat tour). Thanks again for a great vacation.

50 Years of Family!
Our family of 10 -- grandparents to grandchildren -- loved our stay at the villa the first week of July. Since the "caveats" are few, I'll get those out of the way first: the kitchen is small, the driveway up the hill is steep and narrow (though we drove our rental car up and down carefully multiple times), there are stairs, and...well, that's it.
The villa has a wonderfully spacious layout, with separated bedrooms and bathrooms that gave our three family units plenty of space and privacy. Views over the orchards to the sea and sunsets were soothing and added to the sense of privacy at the villa even though there is another home next door. Everyone, kids in particular, enjoyed the small above-ground pool, the refreshingly cool temperature of which was a hit at day's end. We quickly came to consider our daily short walks to the small village center for food and other wants to be a part of our adventure and enjoyed the growing recognition and courtesies from shop owners over the course of the week. We hired an all-day boat tour to Capri at the small marina, walked to the rocky shore to swim, and hiked along the trails above the villa.
Making the entire adventure more enjoyable was the attentive and gracious care from the the villa manager, Lucio, assisted from time to time by his son and wife, all of whom we became very fond of by the time of departure. One night Lucio and his family prepared a pizza party for us, from the villa's outdoor oven, that generated "best pizza ever" remarks from most of our family (including me, who grew up in New Jersey). The setting and local wine perhaps had something to do with that.
One more caveat, offered hesitantly, is that the villa might be a bit of a challenge for children under 6 years old (though our youngest was 7 and she did fine).

This is paradise.
When we arrived at the villa, my husband couldn’t stop crying. He was overwhelmed by the enormous beauty surrounding us. 12 people in our group ranging in age from 19 months to 60 years. Plenty of room for everyone. Other reviews about the villa, the adorable town of Massa Lubrense, the helpful hosts, and the beautiful views from the terrace-are not exaggerations. We couldn’t have hoped for more.

Not 5 stars and pool v disappointing
Potential to be a great villa. Location is good if you like quiet with short walk into a small town. It's just tired and isn't of the quality of other ones we've rented. On top of that the swimming is not heated as listed and that was an important part of the search. It is very small and also shaded by olive trees so doesn't get the chance to get warm. Young children wouldn't go into it first few days. Wife wouldn't go in at all. Electric gate didn't work for the entire stay so if we went out the property was not secure. We had lots of ants in the house particularly in the kitchen and main bathroom. Don't really want to be spraying ant killer every day in the kitchen. Internet didn't work in the house when we got there. Philomena and her husband are great though.

An Amazing Villa!
All the glowing reviews are warranted. This place is so very special! I had extremely high hopes for this week, and they were surpassed. The villa is a dream come true, and Massa Lubrense is the ideal location for exploring this magical part of the world. The town is a real Italian town, not just a tourist stopover. The very short walk there leads to wonderful markets, shops, and restaurants, and all are very reasonably priced. Bus service is excellent, and we used the recommended charter boat service for an unforgettable day exploring Capri. Filomena made a wonderful dinner one night, and we took advantage of the grill and kitchen on other nights. We took the high speed ferry from Sorrento to Naples for a day to explore this wonderful city and the train to amazing Pompeii. Thank you, Carlo! We will be back.
