The house was a great place to stay while in Yreka for a tournament. It definitely had its quirks, but met our needs. It was cold in the bedrooms, and we put the extra blankets on the beds. The heater kept the living room warm, though. The house didn't have a binder with instructions on how to access the wifi, or how to get the tv to work. We got the password after contacting the owner, but were not able to get the tv to work. It is a working property, so be prepared for there to be noises outside in the morning, but those sorts of things don't bother us. We would stay again if we have to go back to Yreka

Booked a no frills, rural location with a view. Did not want or expect fancy (exactly what I wanted). View was killer (framed view of Mt. Shasta that was worth any other infirmity). Amenities were oversold: 1) washer/dryer (didn't work - actually overflowed cause I didn't check the drain before running it). 2) property was not clean (table top was sticky; blanket left in washing machine. 3) Despite dropping temperature, house was left with open windows and unlocked doors when I got there. 4) Only heat source sits in front of living room window - ok heat but had to pull front drapes open so they don't rest on heater all night. 5) Marketed as house on 125 acres (inferred renter had access to it, but its a working farm - with hands doing work first thing in the morning, right outside the house). All that said, I loved the property and would stay there again - positioned perfectly near Mt. Shasta, great view and great location (only couple hours from redwoods, coast, etc.) Loved it, just disappointed in the rest - though my wife would I'm sure not stayed a single night there because of the condition described above. With a little more attention and TLC from the property owner, I would highly recommend if you're looking for a modest property in a cool location.
