Lakeview Escape at Tenkiller is your home away from home. Escape the busyness of life with a great view of Lake Tenkiller from inside looking through the two-story floor-to-ceiling windows or from outside on the 500+ square foot upper deck. This large, serene, log cabin boasts all the comforts of home and more from a fully equipped modern kitchen, a gas grill on the patio, a full-size ping-pong table in the screened-in breezeway and a large wood-burning fireplace in the 2-story vaulted living room.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the large deck overlooking the lake, always keeping an eye out for the deer and other wildlife that like to frequent the 2-acre wooded property.
Once the lazy day gets going, you can enjoy lounging around the house or deck, play one of the several games or work a puzzle we've provided, or just catch some rays. Spend the afternoon at the beach a few minutes away or at Tenkiller State Park which offers a great swimming pool, playground and hiking trails. You are also only 5-minutes to a boat ramp if you bring your boat with you. Other options are to enjoy the waterfowl and wildlife viewing at Sequoya National Wildlife Refuge. or you can enjoy a drive to Tahlequah for a canoe adventure down the Illinois River.
Enjoy your evening with a home-made meal on the back deck, once again overlooking the lake and watching for wildlife or try out one of the many unique restaurants this area has to offer.
Then, gather the family around the fire pit for some smores or to just watch the fire and reminisce about your day.

This property is one of our all-time favorites. It feels like home. There is nothing lacking for a fun family weekend. We enjoyed a family ping pong tournament to pass a little rainy time. The play room and bunk room are perfect for our grandkids. We appreciate the opportunity to stay at your beautiful Lakeview retreat!

The property was great and communication was good before and during our stay. There were storms that knocked out power for several days and while we tried to tough it out, when we finally decided to leave early Carma was great about arranging a fair partial refund. Would absolutely stay again.

We loved this home! Location was great. The house was stocked with all the little odds and ends that you need! We had several children in our group and there were lots of toys and activities for them. Baby gates everywhere! It felt very safe for my 1 year old.
The owner is VERY helpful and quick to respond. We loved our time spent her!

This was the third consecutive year that our group of nine best friends from high school gathered at Russ and Carma's beautiful home to celebrate our friendship. My group of nine friends dates our friendship back to Jr. high and hi school. We were looking for a place at the lake where we could spend time together and that placed a premium on multiple out door seating areas that could accommodate our group and provide for the amenities we have grown to expect. Russ and Carma's home has become that place for us. The property is specious and beautiful. Russ and Carma have proven themseves to be wonderful hosts. Each year we have stayed at their property we have made suggestions of changes or additions that could be made to improve the property. We have found Russ and Carma to be responsive to our suggestions in ways that improves our experience as well as the safety of our stay. this long-term commitment to the property and to our relationship is important to us. We spend lots of time out doors on the decks talking about old times and catching up on our families. We also use the property our base to play golf, boat on the lake and generally enjoy the out doors. We are also big sports fans and love to get into college baseball or football depending on the season. Thanks to Carma and Russ for helping to make this a special time for us.

The cabin was perfect for our fishing trip. My two sons came along this year (ages 6 and 3) and the cabin has a whole playroom for kids and they loved it! The views were great too. We all had a blast.

Our family had a great time gathering together at this cozy cabin to welcome the new year! Our little ones enjoyed playing with all the toys in the breezeway and the s'mores around the fire pit were great. Russ and Carma are wonderful hosts!

Amazing family get together at an amazing place. Everything was perfect. The views, the fireplace, the private master suite, the kitchen and deck. So cozy yet spacious. Every accommodation has been thought of. Had a great week relaxing, cooking, hiking and watching movies by the fire.

It’s just the right amount of ‘middle of nowhere.’ We had a wonderful experience from booking to check out. Russ and Carma Parker were wonderful through and through, they answered any questions we had with patience and enthusiasm so I cannot recommend enough!
The pictures are good but they do not do the property justice, views were amazing and the layout is great for just about any event!

Family trip to area for Nephews wedding. House was great, had everything we needed. Spent most of time on deck with great views. We could not get over how quiet and peaceful the area is and would definitely stay again.

This rental was just as advertised. Very nice outdoor space - large patio area to spread around on. Multiple seating areas. Fire pit and horseshoes was a nice added touch for the group to enjoy. View of the lake was good as well. It’s truly a getaway to the lake and some quiet relaxation.

This home has everything needed for a great stay for families or couples traveling together! We stayed with our kids and grandkids and cooked all of our meals there. The deck is huge and was perfect for morning coffee, hanging out, and meals. The younger kids enjoyed the toys in the screened in porch area. The bedroom/bath off the screened in porch was super for us grandparents as we went to sleep a bit earlier and didn’t have to worry about noise from the kids. Great communication and support from owners if needed!

This property is fantastic. The hosts are kind and responsive, the views are phenomenal, and our overall experience was wonderful. I've never stayed in a vacation home that was so thoughtfully stocked with anything a group might need. This trip was just adults, but we have anyway discussed staying again soon with our children as anything a family could need is provided.

Our family had a wonderful time at lake Tenkiller over the July 4th week. Rangling our bunch together always takes some doing.
The house is beautiful and peaceful. Plenty of room for everyone. The house is well stocked and taken care of. The views were fantastic. We left rejuvenated and happy.
If your taking a boat, I suggest that you get a slip for your time there(which we did being there a week). It’s tough getting one in and out of the area but doable.

10/10 stars! Super family friendly, even for infants! We loved all of the accommodations for our 6 month old! There was a crib, baby monitors, baby bath tub, high chair and even toys! I love how there was several options for family style seating. We'd love to come back in the winter months as well. The property manager was very friendly and incredibly responsive. Highly recommend

You can stop looking for your Lake Tenkiller get-away and book this property. You won’t find any short term rental that has thought more about your comfort and convenience.
The property itself is immaculate.
All the bedrooms have high quality linens and coverings and good mattresses. You will feel like you are at home. Plenty of space to move around and store your belongings. The closets even have hanging organizers!
The living room has reclining couches for almost everyone in the house. No fighting over the comfortable chair. And if you need additional seating, they have folding chairs and table in the laundry room. Perfect for a family reunion.
And the kitchen! It has everything you need to cook for one or cook for 21! You can even choose what kind of coffee you want- Keurig, French press or drip. I can’t begin to list everything they had in this kitchen. But if you need it- they have it.
And if you forgot to pack something- they probably thought to have it in the cabin. I forgot a charging block for my phone- and they had a USB power strip on the bedside table. The bunk bed had enough plug ins to keep 5 teenage girls happy. And the kitchen had some items you just expect to have on hand and might have forgotten. They even had wood for the campfire available! And they don’t skimp on the household supplies. Full size dish soap, trash bags etc. Some short term rentals limit these so much it becomes hard to keep it all clean.

WOW! That just about covers everything! This is a wonderful vacation home. Spotlessly clean and super well equipped just like your own home. Kitchen has every appliance, dishes, etc. The great room has sufficient seating for at least 8 people. TV with cable in every room downstairs. Internet available. Three king bedrooms downstairs. Upstairs bunk beds and crib. Who could ask for more. And then there is the massive deck with all kinds of seating and tables where you can eat or just kick back view the lake and watch the birds at the feeder. There are printed instructions on what is expected. The host was immediately available for any question. We hope to be back soon.

This year was the second consecutive year my group of friends from high school have chosen to stay at this property. The property is clean and spacious. We watch sports on the TV. We grill steaks, brats and burgers on the propane grill. The multiple conversation areas inside and outside on the wrap around deck are perfect for sitting down with a few friends or the entire group. All of the appliances in the kitchen and laundry facilities are very up to date and function well. Our host made sure that the fire pit was stocked with seasoned fire wood and we enjoyed a perfect fire. One thing I appreciate most about our host is that they always asks if everything worked as it should and is there anything that could be done to make our stay better. Since last year, Carma added a large umbrella that provided a terrific shade for one of the larger conversation areas. There are beautiful flickering lanterns that add a beautiful touch on the deck. And motion actuated lights provide an important safety feature and make sure you can see where you are going. This property and the hosts that make it available are just first rate. This cabin literally has everything you could possibly need, and with me being 6 months pregnant i can't wait to bring my little boy here one day. The property is fantastic and description is spot on. Good view of the lake from the deck and the screened in porch. We spent a lot of time in the porch or on the deck relaxing and enjoying the views. The house had plenty of sleeping space for 5 adults. The house was clean, cozy and had all the amenities you needed, plus some. Kitchen was stocked with plates, pans, and spices if needed. The property owner was fantastic at communicating prior to our arrival and even during our stay! Very accommodating and generous. Highly recommend this property for a relaxing time away from home!

My family (mom, sisters, and their families) all stayed at this cabin during Christmas. It was beautiful and decorated for Christmas! It was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. We had quite a large group with us (13 people ranging from adults to 2 year olds) and we had plenty of space. The breezeway was a great area to wrangle the kids and have them burn off some energy. The stairway also had baby gates at the bottom and at the top so our little ones wouldn't try to escape and get hurt. The owners were super responsive, kind, and even wished us a Merry Christmas! I would 100% recommend this cabin to anyone and we plan to stay here again in the future.

My husband and I rented this cabin to celebrate Christmas with our kids (some adult, some teens). The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had all of the amenities needed for our stay. The view out to the lake was also gorgeous!

This place was great. The view was amazing. The cabin was setup to be family friendly and made it super easy with all of our little ones. We talked about going and doing things away from the cabin prior to arrival but once we got there, we did not want to leave. So we stayed and enjoyed the accommodations the whole time. The beds were extremely comfortable. They provided so much. And Dex, the neighborhood dog, will come and visit and loves to play tug o war with a stick. I failed to read instructions and texted the owner late on our arrival night with a question and she responded back promptly and was extremely helpful. We would go again. 10 out of 10.

We truly had a wonderful stay at Lakeview Escape at Tenkiller. The cabin was very accommodating for our 9 family members. We had no problems with anything and the kitchen had everything we needed that we didn’t bring ourselves. The view from the deck of Lake Tenkiller was absolutely beautiful. Corresponding with the owners was very easy and they supplied a terrific amount of information about their cabin. We would very highly recommend this cabin.

There's nothing about this property that is short of exemplary! It was such a fantastic experience for everyone that attended and the property is so much better than you can possibly hope. There's all kinds of fun and entertainment for all ages. If comfort and relaxation is your goal, there's no shortage of amenities here! It's as if someone created the perfect lake house of your dreams and you get to drop in and enjoy! If you have kids, the quantity of diversions is truly impressive. If you're a big kid at heart, there are two different fire pits, horse shoes, Bocce Ball, etc. So many different spaces for conversations. Thank you so much to fantastic hosts Russ and Carma!
