There were a lot of good things about the house- it is very large, well laid out, there is a nice pool, management is VERY responsive and kind, and they tried to correct any issues we had. It would be good for a large group as there are enough bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean. The biggest issue we had was that despite references to it in previous reviews, the house does NOT have central air conditioning. This was a must for me as I have multiple sclerosis and am heat sensitive, so it made our stay difficult (and I still have not recovered from the trip a month after our return). If we would have realized there was no central air, we would not have booked this house. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms that works well, so some people would probably be fine with the air situation. The other drawback for us was that the house next door is VERY close- so even though the people staying next to us were nice, we definitely felt like we were on vacation with them anytime we used the outdoor pool. The water in the house is not drinkable (very salty) and it did not seem to be filtered, my understanding from talking to locals and other Exuma regulars is that it is because it is very close to Little Exuma- maybe the water issue will be fixed in the future. The owners did provide bottles of water for us after we requested them.

We had a great week at your home!!! Very spacious layout! Very clean! Will def stay here again! The people overlooking the house were always super quick to respond when we had a question.

Wow! We were a little hesitant based on some previous reviews but knew we wanted this location so we went for it and we could not have been more pleased. The location is indeed PERFECT for exploring both via car and by boat. We booked a boat for the entire stay which I highly recommend. It was awesome to have both the beach here and the dock to keep the boat overnight. The beach was small but beautiful and there was some good snorkeling right in front of the house. Lots of fish and even a sea turtle one day! The house itself was very thoughtfully laid out and decorated. Plenty of open living space both inside and outside. The pool is excellent! There are great deck and sandy areas for kiddos to play. We cooked breakfast at home everyday and found the kitchen to be well stocked. Also plenty of beach towels, bath towels, linens, blankets, etc. All appliances worked well and it was really nice to have the washer and dryer for our beach towels every day. A/C was perfect. Management was responsive and very helpful. Really cannot think of anything I would change about this property. Can’t wait to return!

This was our second time in Exuma. We love the island! First time we stayed close at The Cut so we wanted to stay again in the area. Here are the few things that I believe this experience less than ideal.
- House pictures don’t show the house next door. Beach is shared with them. It is not private as the listing implies/states
- there is a pond in between the pool and the beach. That makes the patio be absolutely filled with mosquitoes and sand flies.
- Out of the 7 nights, we had AC in our room 2 nights. First night didn’t work, second night the manager didn’t fix it just put gas in it that did it work, then they changed it, didn’t work again. Etc. The central AC can’t keep up with the heat outside. House was uncontrollably at 80F everyday towards the end of the day. It would cool off during the night again.
- House is poorly stocked. As an example, we made Mac and Cheese for the kids and they had to eat it in coffee cups, the glassware is a joke. And forget to grill anything. The grill is in terrible shape and quite disgusting actually.
- the house is pretty but there are a lot of details that add up. In our room the standing closet was a hazard, that thing was swinging from side to side with the slightest touch. That could fall on someone at anytime.
In summary, I wouldn’t stay in this house again.

We enjoyed our stay at Sueno de Mar! It is the perfect location to have a boat at your private dock and enjoy the surrounding islands and cayes. The house has beautiful furnishings and beds were extremely comfortable. The house was spread out and great for entertaining. The AC kept the house nice and cool. The property manager was incredibly accessible and knowledgeable. Lott did an excellent job making us feel at home and gave us great pins of places to visit by boat. We will be back!

This was our first trip to Exuma’s and with two families (4 adults and 5 children) this house couldn’t have been more perfect. The bedrooms are all extremely spacious and all have their own bathroom. The house was extremely clean. The house is much more beautiful in real life than in the pictures. The views out the back doors are absolutely stunning. The entire process from booking to checking in was seamless. Lot was extremely kind to meet us at the house, give us some tips and even share some must see spots with us. Our favorite restaurant was Blu On the Water and it is a short drive from the house. The kitchen also had everything we needed to prepare a few meals at the house. Directly behind the house we paddle boarded and kayaked to a gorgeous natural lazy River that we thoroughly enjoyed. We will definitely be back!

From beginning to end, communication with Karin and Lott was simple and always prompt. Helpful answers to questions, suggestions for things to do, so helpful. We arrived in the evening, Lott was at the house the very next morning to see if he could help in any way. Greatly appreciated!
The house is well planned, a perfect location, wonderful pool! The children, ages 6 and 9, would have been content to stay right there all week.
We used Berlioz rentals for our vehicle, great service. I would highly recommend Exuma Boat Rentals at Brown’s Marine, ask Allison at the desk to have Lee and Lucas take you out. We had intended to rent a boat for three days, toooo windy. Instead we went with them for a day, covered so much more territory- Hooper’s Bay for sea turtles, Chat and Chill for lunch, petting the stingrays, swimming in the Lazy River, Starfish Beach, National Park and more!

Everything was perfect. Karin was attentive and all of our question's were answered. This is the first time I have rented from The Good Life Bahamas and it will not be the last.

Great floorplan for a group/family. Description is accurate as there is a large, central great room flanked by 2 good-sized bedrooms on either side. The bedrooms are larger than they appear in the pics and each has its own full ensuite bathroom. The main living space is comfortable with a long dining table that has seating for 8. There's a small smart TV and wifi is available (note: power goes out occasionally, but it's a common occurrence on Exuma & doesn't last long). There is also a half-bath in the hallway on one side of the home & full sized, modern washer and dryer in that same hall. No need to pack a lot of clothes! Kitchen had everything needed to cook meals if you wish to do so. Also provided are some pool toys/floats, snorkel gear, 2 double kayas, and 3 paddleboards (all oars present). NOT provided is beach equipment such as chairs & umbrella. You can rent those things but we ended up just using some of the beach towels/blankets from the home and laying them out under tree shade at the beach, no big deal. The area where the home is located is very peaceful and quiet, yet is less than 20 min drive into Georgetown. Close proximity to the southern beaches (Pretty Molly, Tropic of Cancer, etc). Having a pool was nice, especially since the water down at the sandy beach has some rocks and sea grasses. Pool was clean and well maintained & a skimmer is provided. The only downside is that there is a small mangrove "forest" between the pool and the beach which lends the backyard & deck to mosquitoes, especially during those hours around dawn & dusk. BUG SPRAY IS A MUST!
My absolute favorite feature was that Moriah Cay National Park's lazy river was a quick, 25 minute paddle from the home. Hop on a kayak or paddleboard, go around the cay to the right, and enter the lazy river on the left. It was AMAZING, PRISTINE beauty! SO close, and completely deserted - we had the whole lazy river to ourselves (other than some turtles and rays)! IMO this is a must-do if you are staying at this house.
Finally, I want to mention the property manager, Karin. She was super friendly and welcoming and extremely responsive to all of our questions throughout our stay. We had only one small issue with a slider not locking and someone came by to repair it in no time. She is very knowledgeable about the area and will help you with recommendations or reservations.
Overall, a great stay for the home, the surroundings, and the hospitality!

It was amazing un every way. Had a 20ft boat and docked it with no issues. Check your tide times. With my boat was able to get around low and high tide. House was spectacular and views and privacy exceptional. Hosts and caretakers were spectacular and accommodating.

We were 4 couples who stayed here. The house was perfect. A 4/4.5 bed/bath with each bedroom having an en-suite. Each bedroom also has its own AC unit so that compromising on comfort between 4 couples isn’t required. The house was well stocked w towels, pool floats, snorkel gear (we didn’t actually use bc we brought our own), paddle board, and kayaks. The kitchen had everything we needed to comfortably cook and serve family style dinners. The house was extremely clean, the check in process was easy. The view is gorgeous. The pool was cleaned each morning by a man who would come so early and quietly that we barely noticed him. The dock made our stay all the better as we were able to keep a boat there through our stay. The location of the house, while a bit remote in terms of being close to town, was perfect in terms of water. We kayaked in the morning along the beautiful sandbar and saw sting rays and turtles. It was also a great launching point to go tothe “lazy river” and ton of other fun places via boat. The booking agent made the process as seamless as possible and the manager of the property was extremely helpful and informative, he gave us a ton of suggestions that we used and made our experience all the more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better appointed house to have stayed in!

Wonderful property. Enjoyed the fact that it was a little far from town where you can really enjoy the island for what it is. Close to the famous Tropic of Cancer beach. All rooms have their bathrooms which was great to have.

Exumas
Very nice hose on the south of the Great Exuma island, only complain is that dock will be accessible for small boat with outboard engines and mostly accessible on high tide only, CHECK tides before you go if you have a boat!

Great house at the southern end of the island
Perfect house situated at the southern end of the island where you can easily access a lot of the natural beauty of the island. The house as clean upon arrival. The house is set up with two bedrooms on either side with each bedroom having its own bathroom. From the house, you can explore the shallows from the provided kayaks where we saw nurse sharks, the large red starfish that are popular in exuma, and many other forms of wildlife. We rented a boat and had it docked at the house which allowed us to go to Lazy river beach, Stocking island and snorkling in the bay. The owner fixed the one small issue we had the very same day.

Best Vacation Ever
We just got back from our trip to the Exumas. We were soooooo glad that we chose this house and location in Hartswell. It was absolutely perfect for our family. My husband, adult daughter and her husband, my adult son and myself. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed (except a pizza pan haha ) which was minor considering we just put it on the rack on some foil. The pool was the added bonus for late evenings. We rented a boat and explored the most beautiful beaches. My guys all brought their fly rods and got their fill of chasing Bonefish. Karin was super helpful with everything from start to finish. She had great recommendations for things to do and places to go eat. She even went out of her way to book some reservations for us. We will definitely go back and would stay in this house again. There were some restaurants that weren’t open anymore or had different hours because of Covid that we didn’t get to experience, but we always found a place to go and had fun no matter where we landed. Blu on the Water was amazing and a place we would surely revisit and we ended up at Fish Fry one night (which was kind of like a bunch of local vendors all in one spot). All in all, this was one of the best vacations we’ve ever had . Thank you Karin for making our stay so warm and welcoming. We’ll be back

Great Trip January 8-15
Overall We had a great time at this house.
We were 3 families. Enough parking for 3 cars.
Probably about 25 minutes out of town toward Little Exuma.
There is everything you need at this house and the property managers, many thanks to Onike and her Husband they were a phone call away and were there in a flash when we needed something. Dryer was broken, they brought us a new one, Wine opener broken they brought us a new one. Great service!
One thing to mention...
Bedroom three shows one King, One child bed, one crib
Bedroom 3 actually is one king one pack and play, No child bed) this small bed is also shown on the pictures.
Over all fantastic house, extremely clean and modern, AC worked great, great dinner table for all, Kayaks and paddle boards were fantastic, Resident Turtle swimming out by the dock, Pool toys were a bonus, Sun loungers outside really clean and comfy, House had a great layout and very comfortable.
We rented boats from Minns Water Sports in town and they were really super. Highly recommend.
Exuma Family Medical clinic in town, for Covid testing, very easy, bring your Bahama Health Visa with you for them to scan, costs about $10 each for the day 5 and $35 each for your re entry test, results within the hour.
Over all I can speak for our 3 families we would definitely rent this property again.

An incredible spot!
This house was just as we expected from pics. It’s a lovely set up for privacy and enjoyment of the shared living areas. Outside areas are large and there is plenty of seating. The AC in the 4th bedroom needs to be fixed. Luckily we were only 3 couples.
We would have liked for the lighting outside to work, especially the pool light…

South Side Exuma Trip
9 friends and I stayed here for 4 nights. The beds and bathrooms were great. The beach and dock excellent. The only complaints we had is that the reverse osmosis system was shut off before we arrived and we had to go w/o water for a day and a half as the plumbers reprimed and refilled the cistern. We were fortunately able to shower outside next door (as there were no guest staying there at the time) and use pool water to flush toilets. All else was good, and the dock, kayaks and paddle boards made it a relaxing vacation.

My family (2 adults and 2 children, 8 and 10) stayed at Sueno De Mar from 3/21-3/27, 2021. The location was beautiful and super quiet at the southern end of the island. It took about 35 minutes to get there from the airport. Georgetown, the main town on the island, was half way between the airport and Sueno De Mar. They have restaurants, grocery stores and liquor stores in town although, there were a couple of restaurants between Georgetown and the house- but not many. The bridge to Little Exuma is about 2 minutes away from the house and the main attractions on that island were about 15 minutes away. The house was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were great so I assume bed toppers were added since some of the previous comments as this was something that was a concern of ours. Pillows were really comfortable and sheets were great too. There were a couple of items that needed attention, although they were in rooms we did not use so it didn't bother us. There was a toilet paper holder and towel rack that were previously removed/broken and never put back. A tiny mirror was in one of the bathrooms in place of a larger one, so that might have bothered some people as you couldn't even see yourself in it but overall, nothing that bothered us.The deck area was great as well as the beach and boat slip. We rented a boat for a couple of days from Drex Rolle and explored the islands around the house. We got good use of the paddle boards and kayaks too. We all really enjoyed our stay. They had a coffee maker, toaster, blender, coffee grinder and grill, which we used during our stay. The Good Life Bahamas was the rental property caretakers and were great. Onike met us at the airport and escorted us to the house. They stocked the house with food for us and quickly resolved an issue we had the first day with the house having half power (only some outlets working). Overall, we had a great stay. The location was great and perfect for peace and relaxation. We would stay here again.

Spectaculiar
The management service was terrific. Onike was so helpful to us with all our questions. For us the location was perfect. We loved kayaking in the harbor - turtles and stingrays. Nearby there were the most amazing beaches. Paradise! We took a 1/2 day boat ride (Cap. Chris) to see the sandbars, turtles and stingrays which was just enough with our teenage kids. The house worked out wonderful for us. We are coming back to Exuma for sure!

Beautiful home
Beautiful home, but... I will admit I am late in writing this review but I feel a few things need to be addressed. First off it’s a beautiful home, beautiful pool and nice kitchen. In the kitchen absolutely no condiments other than salt and pepper which appeared of been left behind by others. In the bedroom the bed could only be compared to a yoga mat on a hard floor, the hardest bed I’ve ever experienced. In the bathrooms nothing, not even hand soap. Come on if you’re spending that much a few amenities would be nice. Again great house, a few house issues i.e. sliding glass doors and plumbing, but hey you’re in the Bahamas and I don’t think that’s the only house to have those issues. Overall great trip, beautiful home and we’d love to come back. We rented a boat for the week and thoroughly appreciated having our own dock. As a sidenote the caterer we used for Thanksgiving dinner was amazing!

Paradise!
We had such a wonderful time staying in Exuma! The house was great for our family. It is spacious and the decorating is so beachy and cute! The views are too die for! My only real complaint is the beds! I can only attest to the comfort of the master bedroom as my kids slept in the other rooms but the master bed was SO uncomfortable! The bed is very hard and the bedding was very lacking. I would have expected better quality for the rate we paid. But that aside, the house was just as described. I highly recommend renting a boat so you can explore the beautiful waters around you. Take a private excursion to Thunderball grotto! And definitely check out Tropic of Cancer (our favorite beach) just down the road. You won't be disappointed!

Take me back!
This property is beautiful. Just as detailed in the photos. The house was clean and well appointed. We had a group of 5 stay and had more than enough room. We spent a lot of time in the pool which was fabulous. Being right on the water is great too. A couple of us used the house kayaks and went out on the water - one spotting a giant starfish! I would suggest water shoes just to get past the first patch of seagrass, etc. along the shore and into the clear sandy waters. The town was great as were the referrals from the property manager. You will not regret reserving this house!

Almost perfect
The house is beautiful and the layout was perfect for our family. However, there were lots of little things that needed repair, such as the dryer door, the toilet paper and towel holders, mirrors in the bathroom, the wine fridge didn’t work, the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms didn’t work well, the roof over the covered patio leaked when it rained, and we didn’t have WiFi for the first 24 hours. We’ve rented homes in the Caribbean for the last 10+ years and understand there are challenges with keeping up a home in remote destinations but this was also the most expensive home we rented so our expectations were higher. We were surprised that there were no beach chairs. The Exumas are beautiful and we didn’t want these small irritants to spoil our vacation but we did leave a little disappointed.

Wonderful
This was our first time vacationing in the exumas. Most amazing vacation. The island is beautiful. The house was absolutely beautiful. More than enough room for 8 adults. Beautiful pool and outer deck area for relaxing in the evening. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board which were included. All the necessities provided. Oineke was wonderful, always helpful with any questions we had. We did rent a boat which we all felt was a must
To explore the island. We tried many restaurants and found them truly delicious. We did rent a boat from captain Dwight but would search around for other rentals as was not very reliable Can’t wait to go back

An absolutely magical time in a beautiful house!
All 9 of us had an amazing vacation. My husband and I took our kids and grandkids, all teens, on a 2 week trip of a lifetime. To begin, we loved the house. The size and floor plan were perfect for us, and it was clean and well kept. As we got to know the island we realized what a great location we were in. Moriah Harbour in Hartswell is beautiful and quiet. The water is protected so it was basically always calm, clear, blue and indescribably beautiful.
We learned quickly that short power outages are very common. The longest one was maybe a half hour or so. After that one the pool filtration system didn’t start back up. A quick call to Onike, who by the way is wonderful to work with, had the pool guy out that day and the issue cared for. She also was available by phone for any questions, and she referred us to a boat rental that could be kept overnight at the dock right in front of the house. We used the pool a lot and were so happy we chose a house with a pool. If we return, the house we choose, if not this one, would be with this same company and have a pool.
Exuma is remote, quiet, and beautiful. We encountered no one that wasn’t kind, super friendly and helpful. The boat tour to see the pigs, iguanas etc. is a must. We visited several beautiful and breathtaking beaches from the top of Great Exuma to the bottom of Little Exuma. Food was delicious and excellent. It can’t get much fresher.
If you’re a big nightlife, shopping mall, boutique kind of person then Exuma may not be for you. For us, in our beautiful house in a beautiful setting, it was perfect!

Great house with boat slip!
Great house. Great layout. LOVED having the boat slip. The kitchen could be better equipped. Freezer handle was broken off, walk down to beach needed some trimming (little things here and there that needed to be maintained). Nothing that affected our trip. We had a great time!

Paradise on Earth
Let me start by saying that this was the most ideal location in all of Exuma for us. It's at the furthest point South of the Island (almost to Little Exuma), remote, quiet and peaceful. We stayed here March 2018-April 2018. For the most part, our stay was perfect. If I could have given 4.5 Stars I would have, but I felt it was better than 4 stars. There were some quirks with the home (maintenance issues common for a rental - broken towel racks, sink faucets that didn't work, etc), which Onike offered to fix right away. We didn't want to be disturbed on vacation so we lived with the quirks for a week. The house was very well laid our for our group. We were 3 Adults in our 30s (my husband, myself and my brother) and 2 small children (age 5 and 8). There are two bedrooms on one side and two on the other, so everyone has some privacy. The property has a pool (great for small children) and a small beachfront area (luxurious in the islands). We rented a boat for a couple of days, but I would recommend renting one for the entire stay and parking it at the dock (we will do that next time). We used the kayaks for exploring and bone-fishing (brought our own gear). We cooked almost every night at the house (amazing local butcher) as well as had a couple of meals catered (which Onike arranged). The restaurants on the island leave something to be desired (we are foodies), but the catered food was delicious as was cooking ourselves. The internet worked great for our entire stay (which was good because we all had to some work on vacation) and the television had Netflix pre-loaded (which is all you need for the occasional movie at night). We will most definitely be back to Exuma as well as Sueno De Mar - which is the highest compliment I can offer.

Amazing!
This was an amazing an gorgeous location. The house is beautiful and has something for everyone. We had 9 adults an 1 child. It was perfect. Onike was great and took care of any issues we had very promptly. The paddle board and kayaks were so much fun. We also rented a boat for 3 days and had some awesome adventures. We can't wait for our next trip to the Exumas.

Rain Rain and More Rain
Not really sure where to begin writing about this experience and stay at Suena Del Mar. The weather for our week was pouring with rain and the House could not take the deluge of water from the Storms. We were collecting rain water as it poured into the house through the Sliding doors of the Kitchen and living area. Couple that with power outages, roads that were flooded and impassable, along with hard mattressess (which is a real shame as the House overall is tastefully decorated) and it was an unforgettable, never again experience. HOWEVER..Onike from the Good Life looked after us, made sure we got to the airport (we couldnt use our rental car or drive as the roads were flooded so thanks to Theo and the School bus we were able to get out! Thanks to her and John Toker for their support and help.
I am a frequent visitor to Exuma and have never experienced Rain like it. I don't normally stay that far out (the house is near the bridge to Little Exuma) and all in all it was a pretty miserable and uncomfortable week.

House was great indoors for 4 couples.
House was set up well for 8 people. The outdoor covered patio leaked rain badly. The pool was not maintained and turned green during our stay. Also, should have had a heightened awareness of the bug issues. First day we all got bitten badly and all of us had discomfort from multiple itchy bites during our stay. Having a boat is necessary to explore the beaches that are most beautiful, however, knowing the tides are a must due to shallow waters.
