About this cottage rental

Located in the historical village of Alcanede, in Santarém, the house inserted in a former agricultural property was totally renovated in 2015 and has seven double rooms with private bathroom, kitchen equipped for the confection of meals, dining room with two extendable tables, being with a stone fireplace, a press with a press and about 200 years of history, reading corners, outdoor spaces and green spaces. The terrace is equipped with tables, chairs and awnings parasols and allows you to enjoy outdoor meals. The house has heating, lift, access for the disabled and is decorated in a simple and cheerful, with recycled materials and parts. In the garden there is a wooden swimming pool to refresh in the hot days, loungers and hammocks to rest.
The house is in a property that is crossed by a small river whose bridge gives access to four hectares of land with an orchard and a lot, ideal for hiking, picnics or biking. Freedom is total.

Alcanede has a castle and a football field beach volleyball; a Roman bridge and a Natural Park with caves with the possibility of climbing to more than 50 meters deep. Plants hundreds of varieties of teas; dinosaur footprints, blue and river pools quarries.
If you want, we give you the key to enjoy the tranquility and nature, but we can also provide experiences of learning, showing our visitors the best of the culture of our region, the flavors and traditions of central Portugal. We have the ability to guarantee meals and transport people around the area, following the groups.

Alcanede is in the center of Portugal, a country with a capacity to surprise increasingly world. Up to 50km, discover the sea that gave birth to the most famous wave in the world, in Nazareth; feel the call of the paths of faith, visiting the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, the Holy Miracle, Santarém, or traversing one of the oldest tracks the paths of Santiago; part of history by visiting the Batalha Monastery and Vila-Chocolate, Obidos.
End the day in the best tavern of the region and propose a toast with one of the best Ribatejo wines; anticipate a tour of snacks and serve up the cheese, sausages and homemade bread that can also learn to do; add a tablespoon of organic honey from the Heath and make a tea with the plants that grew in the land of health food stores. Here the knowledge and the flavors are also lived in full.

O espaço está muito bem preparado para grupos grandes, zonas interiores e exteriores suficientes para as refeições, a máquina de lavar loiça é um ponto positivo. O interior da casa está muito agradável, espaçoso, as casas de banho estão impecáveis. Pontos menos positivos: camas extra são colchões insufláveis - nem toda a gente se dá bem a dormir nestes colchões. O jardim devia estar mais cuidado (relva por cortar e seca). No entanto recomendamos o espaço para reunir com amigos ou grandes famílias. Uma vez que foi só um fim-de-semana não conseguimos aproveitar para conhecer a região, o que valeria a pena. Obrigada Isabel.

MEIO country house is extremely well-maintained and outfitted. We were a group of 12 adults, with 6 new ones swapping places with the original guests after 1 week. Clean linens were supplied and a housekeeper cleaned the rooms beautifully. The location has easy access to the train at Santarem and only 1 hour drive to Lisbon. But seeing other areas requires travel on slow country roads which can add time. The owner, Isabel, offered and provided a lovely tour of Santarem, her home town. She and her caretaker, Mikael, were responsive to all our questions and requests. Overall a great location for family vacations and get-togethers.

La maison offre tout le confort nécessaire pour allier détente et visites. Alcanede dispose de tout le nécessaire pour se ravitailler et se restaurer.
