the most comfortable step back in time

Our stay was made really nice by our host, Cyril, his knowledgable welcome made our short stay really special. This historic gem was opened up by the information supplied. We took advice on places to eat and bars to visit which proved to be memorable. The historic sights we visited were amazing and our short stay will definitely be followed up by further visits to this great town. To top it off we were served an amazing breakfast which is served in the excellent, cozy dining room. First rate stay. Don't be put off by the public parking aspect, we parked in the quay and it was literally 50 metres away from the room.

Génial

Comme cela a été déjà dit, le lieu vaut vraiment le détour pour beaucoup de raisons. En plus de l'histoire du lieu j'ai beaucoup apprécié les petites attentions qui rendent le séjour extra. Sans parler du super petit-dej dans une pièce chaleureuse qu'on a du mal a quitter ;)

Etape dans le "vieux" Gaillac très typique. Honnete rapport qualité/prix.

chambre de plein pieds dans une tres ancienne maison. donc trés rustique. Petit dejeuner copieux dan une salle à manger chaleureuse.

Une petite "descente de lit" pour éviter le "choc" du froid du carrelage!!!

Chambre avec entrée indépendante dans quartier piétonnier pittoresque. Terrasse personnelle, Charmant salon à disposition.Petit déjeuner génial. Stationnement facile à proximité Accueil parfait , discret et convivial à la fois. Très prévenant. Literie excellente.

Fabuleux! Adresse parfaite pour découvrir le Tarn

L'endroit est magnifique, le personnel adorable et très accueillant et la ville, charmante et agréable. Mon enfant et moi, avons passé un fabuleux séjour. Nous avons adoré le charme et l'histoire de cette maison, la décoration et le confort de la chambre. Le petit déjeuner était top avec des fruits frais, des viennoiseries, du pain, du fromage, de la charcuterie... L'hebergement 'la Lauze et l'anguille' est extrêmement bien situé dans Gaillac et est un bon point de départ pour visiter les alentours. Il y a tellement de choses à découvrir et à faire! Et l'ambiance est super! Un grand merci à Cyril et Nabil, des hôtes parfaits. Et merci à leur chat star Papilou!

Die Wohnung ist absolut außergewöhnlich. Historisches Haus mit Designermöbeln und liebevollen Details. Badezimmer und Dusche waren sehr modern, alles war man brauchte war vorhanden. Die Gastgeber waren extrem hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war ein Traum!

Exceptional

This Chambre d'Hote is in an ancient building in a pedestrian area near the river. It is a really special stay, full of character features. The breakfast (included in the price) was delicious, fresh juice, fruit, pastries, a loaf of bread, ham, cheese and lovely tea and coffee. The host gave us lots of information, then left us to do our own thing. Highly recommended. Gaillac is one of the loveliest villages we visited in France.

Amazing place and location.

Loved the rustic and medieval feel of the place. Especially the breakfast and setting have been amazing.

I wish there would have been clearer instruction on where and how to access the breakfast place. But questions about it where answered swiftly via text.

Wonderful just wonderful. Would stay here again.

I loved the rustic atmosphere in the accommodation and the location. I felt we were in another world. Cyril and his son were awesome hosts. Oh, great accessibility by bus or by train.

Authentically renovated, medieval house of fascinating importance with charming hosts and an excellent continental breakfast. Recommended for those interested in local and European culture and history. Fans of standardised, uniform, international hotel chains should look elsewhere.

The tap (faucet) over the bathroom basin was particularly noisy.

Superb

We have stayed here before and would certainly return again. A warm welcome from our hosts. Lovely apero offered on arrival: melon, wine or water. A superb breakfast. In addition to the en suite bedroom you have access to the hosts' dining room where you can relax. All of Gaillac's historical attractions and restaurants are within walking distance. No air-conditioning but since the building is several centuries old, it always felt cool. Parking is within 100 yards from the house but walking from the house is quite steep. The building and its historical location in the town is unique . The value for money is outstanding.

Exceptional

We had an unexpectedly warm and friendly reception which was sprinkled with Gaillac wine and foie gras. On the other hand, sleeping in this house, completely renovated, which five hundred years ago hosted Francois Premier for three nights, our thoughts took us to those times of medieval turmoil.
