Close to downtown historic Hendersonville NC, this newly renovated 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom retreat is nestled in the highly sought-after neighborhood of Lower Laurel Park. A comfortable living space and large private yard with lush surroundings in a peaceful neighborhood makes you feel like you have the best of both worlds. Immerse yourself in the sweet mountain surroundings as you enter the driveway and are welcomed by the peaceful front porch with rocking chairs - perfect for enjoying the cool mountain air with a cup of morning coffee. Enter the home to find a comfortable living area with gas fireplace and 55 inch flat-screen TV. Accents of the home's original charm can be found in door hardware, heavy wood doors, refinished hardwood floors and beautiful trim throughout the home. The updated kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances is inviting and has all the necessary equipment to cook your favorite meals. An inviting sunroom flooded with light is a great space to work at the desk, or curl up with a good book on the sofa. The sofa is a queen sleeper sofa, so is great for a guest to close the blinds and sleep comfortably. In the dining room, a large table for 6 invites you to come together. Enjoy the local artwork of old Hendersonville and the nearby Parkway views. Steps away is your large main suite with King size bed and large flat-screen TV. The main bath has a soaking tub, separate shower with body jets and rain shower and double sink. Off the living area is a second bedroom with King sized bed and flat screen TV. Across the hall is the second bathroom with walk in shower and double sink. The third bedroom is just inside the entry with a bunk style bed with full on the bottom and twin on top. There is plenty of storage and space for luggage in large closets in every room. The laundry area is in the hallway just off the kitchen and dining room. OUTDOOR LIVING... Step outside from the sunroom onto a screened in porch with cozy seating area and new hot tub. Another back door leads onto the oversized porch from the laundry area which is connected to the screened porch. A gas grill and 8 person outdoor table welcomes you to dine under the stars. The fenced backyard has a fire pit and stone area with Adirondack chairs where you can roast marshmallows for smores or relax by the warmth under a canopy of tall bamboo that surrounds the property. Private and tranquil, yet just a drive away from all the attractions, making your vacation feel complete. PARKING... There is plenty of parking in the large gravel drive or there is one covered space under the carport, and room for bikes there as well. PETS... We will consider pets. Please inquire before booking and include the size, breed, and age of the pet for consideration. INFORMATION ABOUT THE SURROUNDING AREA... Rhododendron Park, on Laurel Park lake is 0.7 mi away, a very short drive or bike, a leisurely 15 minute walk to the park. The park offers a beautiful walking path around the lake, picnic area, and fitness trail. You can catch and release fish on the lake with a license. Carl Sandburg home is 12 minutes away- see the goats at Connemara Farm (Carl Sandburg's), or hike the Glassy Mountain trail. Downtown Hendersonville is charming year-round with great choices for food, local breweries, wineries, live music, and artisan shops. The town hosts many events throughout the year including the Apple Festival, Rhythm and Brews, Music on Main every Friday in summer, Fall Festival and many more. https://visithendersonvillenc.org/ is a great site to help plan your trip. Hendersonville is less than a 5 minute drive. Close to vineyards, breweries such as Bold Rock Cidery, Mills River Brewing, Sierra Nevada, galleries, the agricultural center, Tryon Equestrian Center, and a short drive to the heart of Asheville. Drive through Laurel Park and up the mountain to famous Jump Off Rock. The views are breathtaking. The home is 21 miles (30 Min) to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest and Davidson River- where you will find world renowned flyfishing, and the best hiking and camping around. 14 miles (20 min) to Dupont State Forest (The Land of Waterfalls) The Ecusta Trail will run from Hendersonville to Brevard when complete. 25 miles to downtown Asheville. It is the perfect getaway situated in the middle of all the area has to offer. Visit Asheville, day hike in Pisgah National Forest or Dupont State Forest, stroll around Hendersonville. Stay longer and explore more- Drive to Great Smoky Mountains (1 hour) Go whitewater rafting on the Nantahala (1.5 hours away), visit the Cherokee reservation (1.5 hours). Great for adventurers!! Families, girls weekend, romantic getaways, hiking groups, or just a week to unwind in a quiet neighborhood with fresh mountain air.
