We had such a good time staying in the star cabin! The owner was very helpful and quick to respond to my questions and/or requests. We loved the wrap around porch and spent most of our time hanging out there enjoying the beautiful weather. The rooms were also on different floors so you have privacy if you’re traveling with friends. Overall we had such a great time and the cabin has everything you need! We will definitely be coming back again!

We had a great time. The owner is super communicative, the place is amazing, clean, and in a beautiful location. We hiked at a trail nearby to waterfall due to a recommendation from the owner and it really was a shining moment in this trip.

We just came home from spending the last week a The Star House in Pine Mountain Club. The house is conveniently located to every thing Pine Mountain Club has to offer. The restaurants, and clubhouse and pool are a 3 minute drive. The house has everything you need to spend your vacation relaxed and comfortable. Every day we got up and went for a little hike and then spent the afternoon by the beautiful pool. On Saturday morning we were awakened by a strange noise outside our window. We got up and looked out and were very excited to see a Momma Bear and her Baby. We can't stop looking at the video over and over again. We also got to see the Full Moon come up over the Mountain behind the house. Beautiful. We enjoyed Dinner at the Condor Cafe and we cannot say enough great things about La Lena Mexican restaurant. The food is fabulous with great variety and reasonable prices. Kristin was very accessible during our visit. I highly recommend the Star House for a relaxing stay.

I can't say enough about Star House, the quaint town, and the generosity of the hostess, Kristin. The home is decorated beautifully. You could not ask for better amenities. The views are breath taking. I had a fabulous weekend laughing with my friends, drinking delicious wine and eating tasty food. My stay at Star House will be a memory for the books. I truly hope to get back there again soon.

We enjoyed our stay at the Star House. All necessities were provided for us. We are a family of cooks so we spent a lot of time in the kitchen. The kids played tennis at the clubhouse every day. Our host was attentive and available. Thank you, Kristin!

We stayed in Feb and it was a very good experience. There was some snow on the ground and we saw a deer. The cabin was perfect for our stay. Everyone had their own room and bed. The patio was impressive. The only thing that i would mention is the smell of cigarette smoke when we entered the home. There were used cig butts in the ash trays outside the door. That being said, I would stay at this place again.

Absolutely loving our time up here at Star House! We brought the whole family and had plenty of room for everyone. The downstairs room has a lot of games and each of the 3 floors has its own bathroom. We had a bit of snow so the two fireplaces were much used. We hiked a few of the local trails and enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. This is our second stay and we will definitely be back. 💕

I originally wanted to stay at the pine mountain inn for New Year’s Eve weekend so my kids can experience snow, ( traveling from Bakersfield ) but they where booked the owner Tony from the inn recommended us to call his friend Kristin at The Star House to see if she had availability. I gave Kristin a call right away her voice gave me peace don’t know how to explain it in words. She was really attentive she proceeded on texting me the link to booked our trip. We ended booking for Martin Luther king 3 day weekend Unfortunately she was booked for New Year’s Eve weekend. Anyways I really didn’t read any of the reviews or payed attention to the details of the pictures of the cabin I just booked it. When we got there all our family members were in awe with the cabin. Family of 6 adults, 3 kids under 10 and a 11 month old baby and it was perfect for us. We felt home away from home. The more we explore the cabin the more we loved it, all the history behind it every detail you can feel it was made with LOVE. What got my attention was that it was built as a star shape (my nieces name is Estrella in Spanish) by her father, the glass painting above the chimney was hand painted by a local artist. The stones from the chimney were individually collected from different locations by her father. I saw hummingbirds and owl decor thru out the cabin. So to me it was not a coincidence because I see real hummingbirds everywhere, a barn owl just visit our home back in November our first time seeing a real barn owl for my kids and I. I love sunrise, skies, clouds, birds, pine trees, stars just nature in general so then I realized and told my husband that I felt as If the cabin looked for me when I didn’t even search for it 💫 Our stay was truly magical you feel cozy, peace, and warmth not even Lake Tahoe made me feel what I’ve felt in our stay in The Star house. We got to experience flurries for the first time in our life I am 42, my oldest daughter is 14, my son is 10, and my youngest daughter 8, my oldest niece 28, my youngest niece 17 and my older sister 48 we all LOVED it. We explored the enchanted forest just beautiful we saw mushrooms, gave lots of hugs to the pine trees. Certainly will be back again and again specially to stargaze ✨ This cabin is a hidden MAGICAL gem you will love your stay at The Star House! We loved our stay! We made some great family memories. It was the perfect little relaxing getaway. My granddaughter Delilah (who is battling cancer) was sad to leave 😊 she really enjoyed it there. Maybe next time we will stay a little longer. We definitely plan on coming back. Kristin left us a nice bottle of wine and some chocolates. My husband and I enjoyed it very cozy in front of the fireplace. It was a nice treat. She also left us flyers with all the info of the local activities for the weekend which we appreciated being that we had the kids and it was the weekend before Halloween. We were a group of 10 people and one fur baby, our 8 month old Sheepadoodle. Total of 7 adults and 3 kiddos ages 8, 5 and 3. There was plenty of space for all of us. We took the kids to a Halloween bash at Lampkin park on Saturday where they got to participate in all the festivities, they had a blast. They also had a lot of fun at the park playground. We took advantage of using the clubhouse game room too, they really enjoyed the air hockey and pool table. We grilled on the outdoor bbq pit the first night, my family brought a cake sang me happy birthday, I was celebrating my 51st birthday. The kitchen was so well stocked, with all your basic staples so it wasn’t a big deal that I forgot a few things. We enjoyed cooking breakfast both mornings and dinner our 2nd evening in the house. We had one meal out yesterday at a Mexican restaurant called La Leña which we enjoyed. The fire places were a delight. There are 2 one downstairs and one in the main room. We used them both. It made it so cozy and the kiddos absolutely loved tossing in the blue pinecones that made the fire all kinds of pretty colors. We made s’mores and mostly enjoyed just chillin and watching movies. The kiddos stayed busy playing jenga. The place was comfortable and clean. We only needed one air up mattress which was available for use. The house was very well stocked with blankets, towels, and full size bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each of the 3 bathrooms. The cabin was truly lovely. The views from all the windows and decks were serene and absolutely breathtaking. I loved all the decor and little touches like the beautiful stained glass window over the fireplace in the main room. Thank you so very much for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful star cabin where we relaxed very comfortably and had plenty of space.

We stayed for two nights at the end of September, 2022. The house was very well maintain and we could find the necessary cooking tools in the kitchen. We enjoyed cooking together for dinner and breakfast and we also enjoyed a dinner from the Mexican restaurant. The community is very small and all the people are very nice and welcoming. The owner lady is the best host. We felt that we were part of their family while we sit and sip the wine. I highly recommend the star house if you would stay with your families and friends.

My kids and I had a two-night stay in September 2022 and had a great time. This three-storey house has so many cool and quirky spaces. Upstairs has two twin beds, a sitting area and small desk. The middle floor has a bedroom and living room/kitchen. Downstairs has a Japanese-inspired bedroom and living room with a table where you can seat six comfortably. You could easily sleep 8 people in the house if you move a bit of furniture. There are two fireplaces, though we didn’t use them. The kitchen is small but well-equipped. There’s a large deck on the second level with a long table and chaise lounges where we spent most of our time. The area is quiet except for the birds chirping. It was just what we needed after the week-long heatwave in LA. The owner was very helpful. I highly recommend this place.

We would recommend Star House. There are very few rentals in PMC with a large amount of space on a large open deck for telescopes and observing the great night sky there. Usually just too many trees. This is one, but there are steps up to the deck. Lots of love put into this unique "star" home cabin and the hostess is very accommodating.

This property is a must visit. The home is in the shape of a star, hence the name. The deck is huge and has a large clearing for stargazing at night. The home is equipped with everything you need for cooking and plenty of beds. The owner was amazing in keeping contact with us and getting everything we needed for our stay. The amenities available to us as guest was a huge plus. Kids loved the pool and the adults loved the golf and fishing. Great place for vacation or just a getaway.

Great local forest trails and in my opinion the area in many ways is nicer than Big Bear but without the congestion. The property owner takes great pride in providing the best possible experience for her guests. This place is a hidden gem and a great value per day.

We enjoyed the stay at the Star House so much that if there were 10 stars we would give them. The house has a wonderful design, it is large and accommodated our family of 4 very comfortably. The Star house has a very positive sense and impression of a family house on us as if it were “our home we came back to”. You could see it was made with a lot of love and is taking excellent care of. Kristin is amazing who is making everything possible for her house guests to have a wonderful time. Thanks a lot! If we get a chance to come back to Frazier park, we definitely would rent the Star house again.

We decided to spend new years with close family in a snowy place with close proximity to Los Angeles making this location ideal. While there were few little mishaps overall owner is super nice and very helpful. We would recommend this place for a small group of friends or family looking for a quick get away. We would definitely be back in the future if our plans take us back to Frazier Park.

There were some minor hiccups, but the owner was extremely communicative and helpful. She was accommodating and quick to respond when we were unable to get in the door (door code had been changed but the booking site had not updated it), among other issues we ran into. The cabin is beautiful and very ornate with all the details. The fireplaces kept us warm, but boy was it cold otherwise. There was snow on the ground and it was beautiful outside. With the 3 separate floors it's almost like having 3 different apartments. I highly recommend and definitely want to go back!

Loved the rooms and that is was close to some yummy restaurants and a cute little market. Loved everything about it. Would definitely choose this place again if need a place in this area. My two daughters and I enjoyed our four-day stay. We chose Star House for its uniqueness and location. One of my daughters lives in Lodi, California and my other daughter and myself native to Illinois. We both travel to see our family in California routinely. We have been traveling there for years now and have visited mostly the northern part of the state. This year, we decided to check out the southern area. We knew we wanted to be outside of LA, and Pine Mountian Club sounded very safe for us. The drive through the foothills and mountains made it all the more spectacular. We were in awe when we arrived. The main floor was truly home sweet home. It was everything we could ask for, and more. The main bedroom with the vanity mirror was so much fun for us ladies! The fireplace in the living room is truly a work of art. It is hand crafted with many different stones which I believe were individually collected by the builder. The open concept kitchen with a bar-style countertop is where we cooked and enjoyed our meals. The house is definitely shaped like a star! When we went downstairs, it felt like my mom’s presence was there. She was a big fan of Oriental decor and the basement had many pieces of unique art. The Shoji screens - I believe to be handmade, really made the space. Although the refrigerated and dishwasher did not work, the wet bar area was still lovely. We checked out the deep tub as well, but the water was too cold to fill it comfortably. With that being said, we still enjoyed our time on the various porches where we watched the playful blue jays and other wildlife. The upstairs loft area was so cool. It looks down to the main floor. The two twin-sized beds are in their own parts of the points of the star. Whereas the bathroom is another point and the office/reading room is another point. Overall, this home was definitely special. My girls and I feel blessed to have gotten a chance to spend our time together in such an amazing place. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to travel to the Southern California area.
