Exceptional

We had a delightful and serene stay there, the decor was comfortable and tastefully designed, the amenities were thoughtful and well-provided, the view from the conservatory was breathtaking, and the breakfast was both plentiful and delicious. The owners were very friendly and nice, which made us stay even better.

Superb

The accommodation was very nice. The hosts were lovely and the breakfast excellent. Overall the room, decor and gardens were beautiful. The only issue was that the room had no air conditioning. It was a heatwave when we stayed and so despite having a fan, the room was 30 degrees celsius and we didn’t have a good night's sleep at all.

The accommodation was excellent down to the last detail. The owners couldn’t have been nicer. The breakfast was excellent quality and delicious. As someone who is difficult to please, I honestly couldn’t fault Lancaster Barn.

Great place to stop over if on a long journey or for exploring local area.

It was just a perfect place to stay, everything about it was right, lovely hosts, beautiful building, dinning area and bedrooms were fantastic, breakfast was very nice too.

Wow!

Well what can we say. We were made welcome right from the start. Spotless and so welcoming. We had a lovely relaxing evening sat with a glass of wine in the orangery - perfect! Fabulous breakfast. It is worth taking a walk into the kitchen garden and the greenhouses to see all the fresh herbs etc growing. Would highly recommend.

Nothing. It’s a shame it’s not dog friendly but not everywhere can be.

Simply OUTSTANDING

Beautiful breakfast prepared with fresh local produce! Fresh fruit, local yoghurt, juices served at the table. Plenty of choices on hot food breakfast menu. Delicious! Beautiful furnishings. Spotlessly clean! Nothing was too much trouble for owners.

There’s some road noise from the A6 - but it definitely wouldn’t stop me returning!

Highly recommend staying at the Lancaster Barn - attention to detail, quality of products, welcoming staff all goes towards what was a brief, but fabulous experience!

Fantastic stay

We only stayed at Lancaster barn for one evening as a stop gap on our way to Scotland and we wish we had longer. The barn itself is absolutely beautiful and the owners are so friendly. The breakfast was delicious and the room had everything you could need. We will definitely be staying there again. Thanks so much.

What a Gem!

Great quiet location. Unbelievably friendly hospitality always on hand to ensure your stay is the best it can be. The breakfast was brilliant. Rooms were really well finished with almost everything covered for what you’d want/need during your stay. Loved the sustainability feel. Fantastic value for money, would thoroughly recommend.

The only improvement we could even think of at all was: maybe the shower could have been a bit more powerful.
