Garage Mahal, is a custom loft studio with a queen Murphy bed, full kitchen, full bathroom with washer and dryer, Direct TV and WI-FI. Located on the Historical Rails to Trails, that includes 20 miles of paved bike trails. Suitable for all levels of bikers from beginner to advanced.

Two short miles away is Foys Lake, enjoy swimming, Kayaking, and paddle boarding. Just a half a mile from Foys Lake is Lone Pine State Park with hiking, views, and gift shop.

Less than 2 miles away from Garage Mahall is downtown Kalispell explore restaurants, brewery's, and shopping, including a downtown mall.

Garage Mahal is located between the two resort villages, Whitefish and Lakeside. Whitefish is a summer time lake front village with Whitefish Mountain Resort providing winter and summer activities. Lakeside has Flathead lake boat tours, charter fishing, and Black Tail Ski Resort.

If your looking for a day of site seeing Glacier National Park is only 35 miles away. Visit the Walk of the Cedars trail or take a scenic drive up Going To The Sun Road.

A short 12 miles is Glacier Park International Airport.

What a comfortable and creative space! The GarageMahal was practically perfect - sparkling clean, comfy bed, soft sheets, full kitchen, patio with a view and an ideal location. Management communication was great - Stephanie responded immediately (for what turned out to be operator error on my part) and dispatched assistance to us within 20 minutes. This is one of the best VRBO properties we've stayed at.

My husband and I enjoy finding the unusual and off the beaten path locations to visit. While Glacier Park and Flathead Lake are well-known, this little gem of a studio was right up our alley. It is obvious the owners put a lot of thought into every detail when designing this truly unique space. Full size appliances (including washer & dryer), as well as necessary cookware, was a nice break from the hotel scene. Even though this is above a garage next to the main home, the patio is on the “back side” and offers privacy. The entrance faces the home’s garage doors. We never once felt like someone was watching our arrival or departure. Conveniently located near a highway made getting to the tourist sites easy. I’d recommend this location to any single or couple traveling to the area. Note: the bed is a Murphy bed. We slept comfortably but for the person against the wall, getting out of bed without waking the other person required flexibility. Again, no regrets with this location.

Booked last minute then had great communication with owner. Utilized this place for our final night in Montana for the first hot shower, electricity, and clothes washing of the week after days in the back country. Would recommend for friends or a couple for a getaway for sure!

Neat, clean, great location. Very creative and tasteful construction on this over garage unit. Meghan was wonderful to deal with and very responsive. I shall return.

We rented Garage Mahal for its great location right off mikes of paved bike trails and the punny name. Neither disappointed. The interior design and decor is amazing and the proximity to bike trails made our stay a delight!

We really enjoyed ourselves. Very comfortable and the uniqueness of the space was a bonus. Extremely convenient to everything we wanted to visit. Watching deer in the creek, from the deck, made it feel like country!

This is a small but very unique apartment. It had a lot of artful hand made fixtures. Nice place to stay. Be aware, it is a loft, so there are stairs

Amazing place. Very well done interior and really cool. Cozy comfortable and clean place to stay. It’s really done well. 2 seconds and you’re on the rails to trails path…35 miles to Glacier… a mile or so to town… it’s really the perfect place to stay. Great amenities in a fantastic loft. It was awesome. You’ll find that it’s very much worth the money.

One of the most creative properties in which we have stayed.Quite spacious and well designed interior space.For us bikers the property was on the bike path so we wasted no time jumping on.Also very convenient to downtown Kalispell.

My husband and I wanted to explore Montana on our 4 day weekend, and this was the perfect place! It had awesome decor and character, and felt very safe and clean, while still being very close to the highway. We were able to do glacier (twice) Kalispell, and Whitefish! Highly recommend :)

Very cool interior design, materials/hardware and appliances. Comfortable full sized murphy bed. Great views from the 2nd story. Only unwelcome surprise was the nearby highway, mostly out of sight except for the highway noise late afternoons. 'In town' convenience yet on the quiet edge of the great Montana outdoors. A real delight. Highly recommended by this discerning traveler.

We really enjoy your stay at GarageMahal. It is very cute the way they have used the space and decorated it. There is some construction going on out on the highway nearby while we were there. But it never bothered us at all. We would definitely book this place again if we were nearby!

This property was perfect for myself and my husband. We spent four days here while we were visiting Glacier National Park (about a 40 minutes drive). The property was exactly as described, clean, and comfortable! Would definitely stay here again.
